"The hotel was incredibly easy to find, practically right in front of me as soon as I arrived in Maafushi. It was so close to the airport that I didn't have to wander around at all after my transfer, which was a huge relief with all my luggage. Its accessibility also made it super convenient for tours and getting around during my stay. There were tons of cafes and restaurants nearby, perfect for grabbing a bite or just relaxing. The location was ideal for soaking in the Maafushi vibe. A big plus was the really fast Wi-Fi; I had no issues using the internet, and uploading photos or streaming videos during my trip was completely stress-free, which I really appreciated. The pool was well-maintained and pleasant to use, and the panoramic views of Maafushi from there were absolutely stunning. My only minor gripe was that I didn't find the staff to be exceptionally friendly, which was a bit of a letdown. However, overall, the convenience and location of this accommodation made it a thoroughly satisfying stay."

"The hotel exceeded all expectations. It's an incredibly beautiful, lush, and authentic island, without feeling overly polished or brand new. It felt like being on a deserted island, yet everything was clean, and details like lighting were perfectly highlighted. The nature felt untouched. The ocean was stunningly beautiful. The turquoise water stretched for dozens of meters from the shore (but remember to bring water shoes!). The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. You didn't even have to ask for anything; they proactively offered everything. Towels were changed twice a day, and they constantly checked if we needed anything like water or coffee. The service was so good that you often don't find this level of attentiveness even in much higher-category hotels. Breakfasts were fantastic, with everything you could need: pastries, hash browns, made-to-order omelets, eggs, waffles, and pancakes. There was always a wide selection of fruits – watermelon, papaya, two types of melon, pineapple, passion fruit, bananas, and oranges. Breakfast was truly complete. Dinners were a little less impressive, but that's just my personal preference; I'm not a big fan of everything being in sauces. However, I could always find something to eat. It was my friend's birthday, and at dinner, we were given a specially decorated table, the entire staff congratulated him, and there was a cake with candles. While we were enjoying dinner, our room was decorated with birthday greetings. I was impressed by how well thought out and coordinated their actions were. We also received a free upgrade to a water villa. We spent 4 days in a beach bungalow, room 301, and then 3 days in a water villa, room 506. There's a separate restaurant for the villas, which we were also able to visit and did. That was a very pleasant bonus. Thank you. Our vacation was unforgettable, and we will definitely return. This is simply an incredible hotel for the price."

"In all my travels, the Maldives is the first country where you don't need to exchange dollars for local currency because you'll lose money on the transfer. Everywhere accepts either dollars or rufiyaa, but each has its own exchange rate. It's the same with everything. I contacted the hotel in advance and found out how much a boat from the airport would cost. They quoted me $25, but when I arrived, it was $30. I booked a sea-view room for 5 days and was assigned to the first floor. 🤦♀️ Of course, there was no sea view, plus the smell of the kitchen made it impossible to move. The room was cleaned every day, and it was quite good. The hotel itself is new, but the furniture is already cracked, and the bed linen and towels are good. Breakfast is very poor; I had lunch and dinner there too. There's no coffee machine, all the coffee is instant, so I ate juices and smoothies. There were flyers at the reception desk about fishing and snorkeling. I wanted to book one, but the girl said it was only for groups of 6 or more. I asked if she could help, and she said okay, and that was it. No interest whatsoever."

"The hotel was lovely, but what was most beautiful were the people at the hotel. They were all so welcoming and friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay a memorable one. The gentleman that made my room up everyday whilst I was there, Mohir, was always polite and respectful and was always happy to get me water bottle refills. He also occasionally made-up the room with special and unique decor which was a lovely surprise when done. Absolutely loved that! Then the lovely young lady on pool/restaurant duty, Neema, was an absolute delight! She was friendly and easy to talk too and I had a great time getting to know her too. The restaurant also had staff that were always courteous and friendly with me. In particular, Jowel, went above and beyond to ensure that I was always happy with the food and drinks (especially coffee refills) and ensured that my gluten-free diet was always accommodated. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would go back in a heart beat! The location of the hotel is pretty convenient too. Especially for beach lovers wanting to swim at bikini beach and the infinity pool is the best way to end the day with sunset watching. It was an unforgettable stay!"

"Perfect location - just 15/20 minutes by speedboat from Malé Airport, with a convenient round-trip transfer option (USD 110), ideal if you prefer to avoid long travel times. The food was delicious, with buffet options available at one of the restaurants if you’re on a meal plan. Otherwise, there are several other restaurants on the island to explore. The island has a wide range of villas, and you can swim freely around different areas. Standard rooms are a bit small but all are beach-facing right from the door, which is a big plus. Deluxe rooms are more spacious, though not all offer a direct beach view you may need to step outside to enjoy it. Marine life is a highlight - different parts of the island offer unique underwater experiences, including colorful fish, small sharks, and beautiful coral reefs. The staff were friendly and attentive. Rooms were cleaned twice daily, and the entire island was well-maintained and spotless throughout our stay. One minor downside is that seaplanes frequently pass overhead since the island is close to the airport, which may be noticeable at times. Overall, a fantastic stay with great service, vibrant marine life, and a lively atmosphere."

"Amazing Stay at Arena Beach Hotel Beautiful beach vibes with a clean, hotel-allocated beach front long beach with refreshing dring service. and an infinity pool with stunning sunset views. Rooms are clean with sea view, with basic amenities with daily water, tea/ coffee, and towels are provided.Special thanks to Abishek from HK he was very attentive he acknowledges my request and resolved very quickly as my bathroom faucet was leaking. Food & Drinks: Wide buffet & à la carte options at affordable prices, with non-alcoholic beverages. Dinner with live music made evenings extra special. Sisha option was also a alternative choice as island not serving alcohol. Breakfast buffet was good healthy choice with friendly service staff specially Hasan ali (friendly and professional man) Abash attentive and prompt service.Hasim/mahmood and one indian lady from Lucknow( good recommendation and suggestive selling) Nightlife & Activities: Relaxing and charming nightlife. Night vibes was really amazing dining ambience is same as five star resort level. Water sports like stingrays and sharks snorkelling and Sandbank full days tours were unforgettable. Reservations cheking and checkout processes was little tired For guests on long journeys who arrive early at the airport (e.g., 9:00 AM) but have transfers to the island only at 13:00, consider providing alternative options such as a comfortable lounge, refreshments, or earlier boat transfers. Waiting 4+ hours after a long 9-hour flight can be tiring, so small adjustments would greatly improve guest experience. Special thanks to BERLIN as he is only senior label staff who always asked feedback with friendly manner and engage to guest relation service.provided all the information needed about our stay including chekin check out process make everything smooth and easy. The staff here are very kind and friendly, always stopping to make conversation and check in with you to see how your stay is going. I also enjoyed the music played in all of the restaurants/venues around the island. This was really nice. The food at the restaurants was good, I particularly enjoyed the chicken udon noodle salad from the HRC. The breakfast provided was varied and quite delicious too. There were a couple of minor issues during my stay, the first was that there isn’t really a good place to leave swimsuits to dry apart from the balcony railing. A few resorts I’ve stayed at before have provided drying racks which could be a good solution for this issue. Another issue is that the app didn’t allow me to book restaurant reservations until the 3rd day into my stay, again not the biggest issue, but it was a little annoying. The final issue was my room was very close to the pool where music is played until late into the evening. Not the biggest issue, but it would have been nice to be further away so my room would have been quieter in the evenings. Overall, I enjoyed my stay here and I would recommend it to others.

A. Family trip, two villas. One sunset deluxe beach pool villa, and one sunset beach pool villa. 1. The deluxe villa is very luxurious and new, with air conditioning in the bathroom, but it's far from the restaurant and relatively further from the beach compared to non-deluxe rooms. 2. The regular villa is next to the restaurant, very close to the main pool and the lobby. However, it's older than the deluxe villa and its bathroom doesn't have air conditioning. B. The hotel's location is excellent, just a 20-minute speedboat ride from Malé airport. C. We bought the full board package. The restaurant specializes in Indian cuisine, which we really enjoyed. Juices and beverages are only available at breakfast. For lunch and dinner, you can only order à la carte; soft drinks are $5, juices are $10, plus an additional 27% service charge and tax. Haha... D. The excursions are too expensive, it really hurt my wallet (see picture). It's better to book them on a local island. E. You can snorkel near the overwater bungalows and the jetty, but there aren't many marine creatures, and the water quality is just average. Overall, the hotel offers great value for money. Next time, I definitely need to visit a local island, it's so much more economical... PS. It's best to download WhatsApp in advance. Our butler didn't really use WeChat and was often unreachable...

Location: Just a 7-minute speedboat ride from Malé Airport, this resort is perfect for families with young children or seniors visiting an island for the first time, eliminating any worries about seasickness or airsickness. Facilities and Service: As a new hotel opening at the end of 2025, the facilities and service are top-notch. They won't treat you differently for only staying two nights or having limited English. The staff is super enthusiastic and will proactively use translation software to communicate. There are also Chinese-speaking staff on the island, so there's absolutely no need to worry if your English isn't perfect. Dining: We opted for the all-inclusive package, and the food at all the restaurants was absolutely fine. The mini-bar was replenished promptly, and the room could be cleaned multiple times a day, with mini-bar items restocked each time. Additional Services: They offer complimentary rentals of snorkeling masks, fins, paddleboards, and kayaks. There are also clubs for children and teenagers, making it completely worry-free for those traveling with kids. They even provide a free photo service, allowing you to choose one photo to print and take home. Snorkeling: The snorkeling is perfectly adequate for beginners. Summary: This was my first overseas trip with my two children, aged 10 and 12, and their first island experience, and it was absolutely wonderful throughout. It's very friendly for families with older children, and I highly recommend Dusit D2 to any families in a similar situation.

As a resort offering great value for money, we were all very satisfied. At the airport, look for your contact person at counters A17-18 to arrange your speedboat transfer. Firstly, this island is connected to the Hard Rock Hotel and Marina Hotel, which means you get to experience three islands in one. You can move freely between them, and there are 11 restaurants in total. We went to the Hard Rock Cafe chain restaurant one evening, and dinner for four cost us $200. We stayed for 3 nights, rotating between a Sky Room, an Overwater Villa, and a Beach Villa, one night each. The difference between the Sky Room and the Beach Villa is that the Sky Room is on the second floor with better views, while the Beach Villa is on the ground floor with direct access to the beach from the balcony. Each has its pros and cons. The Overwater Villas have room numbers starting with 1, and you can directly access the sea for snorkeling. The hotel has an app called 'SAii'. You can use it by scanning the QR code on your room TV upon check-in. It's available in Chinese. You can use it to request transfer buggies and sign up for many free activities. I initially thought we'd just relax for three days, but it turned into a bit of an 'intensive' trip with so much to do! Diamond members have a happy hour from 5-6 PM, offering three types of snacks/canapés and unlimited complimentary drinks and alcoholic beverages. We ate instant noodles on the first and third nights, and at Hard Rock on the second night. With happy hour snacks and drinks, plus breakfast, we had plenty to eat. The hotel breakfast was quite good, though it was always a bit windy due to the sea breeze. The speedboat transfer to and from the island takes 15 minutes, but it's very hot and stuffy inside. Our group of four tipped the butler $20 in total. For the overwater villa, they allowed us to check in at 11 AM, and we moved to a different room at 2 PM the next day. We tipped $2 each time for luggage transfers. As we moved rooms daily, we didn't tip for daily housekeeping. The hotel offers complimentary rental of snorkels, masks, and fins. We even saw a sea turtle up close during one of the free activities. Diamond members can also rent paddle boats and yellow kayaks for free for one hour daily. Bicycle rental on the island costs $10 for 24 hours. In the evenings, you can find many small crabs 🦀 and hermit crabs 🐚 on the beach. Recommendations: Bring instant noodles and snacks to the island, and a swimming float from home if you want to just relax in the water. The island accepts USD, or you can use Alipay/WeChat Pay.

Close to the pier, the rooms are clean and spacious, and there's a pool with a beautiful high-angle view of the ocean. The fly problem in the restaurant, mentioned in previous reviews, has significantly improved; I noticed the hotel placed fly traps. However, the Wi-Fi in the room still occasionally disconnects, and I hope this can also be improved.

Very nice and comfortable accommodation. Went with a friend of mine back in October 2023, and we were greeted by a warm friendly receptionist and a clean lobby. Our room was on the second floor, with very comfortable beds, toilets, and necessary amenities. Except that the sink's tap water smelled a little funny which we avoided using. However the reception was quick to send over whatever we requested, like water, clean towels etc. Would definitely book again if i ever visit Himmafushi again next time!

This is a predominantly 'white' island, not well-known on Chinese social media, making it a niche destination. It's truly perfect for a vacation. 🏖️ 1. The island isn't large, and there aren't many rooms, so the staff are incredibly enthusiastic and genuinely enjoy their work. They start working before sunrise, around 5 or 6 am, and will greet you with a cheerful good morning. 2. There's a wide variety of water sports available, which require an additional fee. Group activities need enough participants to form a group. The instructors are very patient and helpful. As a solo traveler, I was quite apprehensive about the risks of diving. I stuck close to my instructor the whole time; he was very polite and even helped me take photos underwater. 3. There's one bar and three restaurants here. The food portions are really generous. 4. The front desk will arrange the most convenient speedboat transfers based on your arrival and departure times. They also arrange the latest speedboat departure on your last night, so you don't have to worry about wasting a day wandering around Malé city before your flight. My flight was at 10:10 PM, and my speedboat departure was scheduled for 7:30 PM. 5. The ocean is beautiful, the rooms are very clean, and the staff are super friendly. I absolutely love this place!

I recently stayed at Sheraton Full Moon Maldives in one of their Overwater Villas, and it was a truly memorable experience. The villa was beautifully designed, clean, and well-maintained — offering direct access to the crystal-clear waters and stunning panoramic views of the ocean. The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, making it the perfect escape for relaxation and rejuvenation. The staff throughout the resort were generally excellent — friendly, helpful, and attentive. They handled all requests promptly and with professionalism. A special mention goes to the hotel management team, especially Mr. Megan and a few others, who went above and beyond to resolve a minor incident during our stay. Their approach was calm, respectful, and solution-focused, which left a very positive impression. Most of the team displayed great hospitality, especially at reception, housekeeping, and concierge. However, the only slight downside was at ”The Feast” dining area, where a few staff members appeared less engaging and rarely smiled — a contrast to the otherwise warm and welcoming service standard across the resort.
