This hostel has a great location, close to the city center. It's got a more chill vibe and not many events, but the bar, kitchen, and common areas are great for meeting people. Mariana is an excellent bartender! When I first arrived, I had to wait an hour to check in because they hadn't cleaned the room yet, so I'm knocking off a point for that. Otherwise, the person working the free waffle day (I forgot to ask their name) also provided great service. If the staff weren't so good, I would have docked another point because having to put on our own bed sheets was ridiculous. You absolutely have to try the absinthe at the bar. It was also great to have tea and coffee available. I'd definitely stay here again for the chill vibe.

This is a beautiful hotel literal steps away from the sites or Bratislava. We really enjoyed our stay here and felt very relaxed once in the hotel. The view from the street and lobby make it seem like there isn't much but once we got beyond the ground floor (in a diamond shaped elevator) we really appreciated the atrium. There were plenty of spots to sit including some large bench areas where you could enjoy the sunlight and brightly lit areas. The room was a good size with plenty of space and storage cabinets to keep our things. They had a coffee station, mini fridge and desk area. The room was comfy and quiet. The wifi was also very strong during our stay. We had a minor issue with the curtains because they got stuck and did not offer complete coverage. The bathroom was good and we appreciated the rainfall showerhead. They had an all in one shower gel so you may want to consider bringing your own products. There was a towel warming rack too which was a nice touch. The breakfast at the hotel was very good and there were some nice healthy options. They had plenty of fruit, yogurt and some nice breads. We also appreciated the eggs, bacon and cheese. The breakfast spot is on the bottom floor and serves as an extension to the restaurant Koliba Kamzík Zelená which has a few locations in Bratislava. We had a very good lunch at the restaurant which included pierogies, cabbage soup and a garlic soup with cheese. The hot sea buckthorn drink was very good too. The lunch was probably our best meal in Bratislava and if you're a member of the hotel's Aplend club you can get discounts on several items. The location was good for us and we were a very short walk away from many restaurants, souvenir shops and cafes. The Town Hall Square is about 100 meters away from the entrance of the hotel and we found many of Bratislava's attractions a short walk away from the hotel including St. Michael's Tower, Cumil and the whole Old Town area. The bus and tram stops are a bit further of a walk but we found the bus station and tram station by the UFO Bridge to be pretty convenient during our stay.

The location was great, with just a few minutes’ walk into the old town and very easy access to most other areas of the city. The apartment was clean and a good size, with all amenities in working order. There is a simple kitchen in the apartment, which includes a basic hob, kettle, and fridge. On the third floor of the building, there is also a large shared kitchen that guests can use. It has larger hobs, an oven, a microwave, and a large fridge/freezer for storing items. This area also has tables, chairs, and a TV, so you can relax outside of your room. This room also has a free bean-to-cup coffee machine, which can save you a lot of money. A large washer and dryer are also available to use for around €2 each. Reception team was friendly and approachable at all times They are several supermarkets nearby and local bakery

My partner and I have just returned to the United Kingdom after having a trip to Europe, the final destination of our travels was at the very beautiful and picturesque hotel. The hotel is very well situated to river and minutes away from the Old Town. The interior is beautiful and the decor clearly reflects the reason why it’s a highly rated hotel. Our room was situated on the second floor and there is a lift for those who overindulge in the cuisine or infamous Slovak wines 😁 the staff are all smarty presented in their appearance and polite, the breakfast is varied and it is self service even the hot/cold drinks, so please bare that in mind if you’re mobility is restricted when dining in the restaurant for breakfast. The only negative I can recall, and this is no reflection of the hotel, the hospitality or staff as it was “other guests” having no consideration for guests still in their slumber or at least trying to be. Guests would allow their room doors to slam closed and guests would talk loudly on the corridor throughout the evening/night/morning. So next time I’d probably request a room on the top floor to avoid the inconsiderate guests 👍

This is my first time in Bratislava so I was a bit worried when I realized I would be arriving hours later than originally planned, and that the reception would be closed (closes at 10pm). The very nice person who messaged me about my arrival at Hostel Folks/Folks Hostel was kind enough to check me in, leave the key on the desk for me, and send me instructions for how to get in and which room & bed were for me. I found it all easily, and was impressed by the positive energy and the cleanliness. Also, my room (6-bed room) was HUGE! All of my luggage fit into the locker, and the bed was comfy. The showers and toilets were clean, the kitchen nice and neat, and the room with all the tables is ample in size. I would 100% return to this hostel if I ever have the opportunity to return. Oh, also, there is a stack of maps on the reception counter, and a vending machine in the common room.

The hotel's location was very convenient, with the Old Town Square within walking distance. The property is situated on a slight uphill, which can be a bit tiring when carrying luggage, but otherwise it wasn't an issue. Overall, the hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was very good. We stayed for three nights and had housekeeping once. The hotel uses a sustainability system where guests select which services they would like completed, which is a thoughtful idea. However, some dusty surfaces, such as the tables and cabinets, were not wiped down, and we had expected those to be cleaned as part of the service. We also forgot to request a coffee refill on the housekeeping form. When we later asked at reception, we were charged for a coffee pod. The cost was very small, but it was a little confusing since the coffee was described as complimentary. Despite these minor points, we had a very pleasant stay overall and would consider staying here again.

WOW- I was completely amazed by how clean, modern, confy, and convenient the hostel was. The beds all came with a separate locker section (operated by card key) and multiple shelves, and my compartment was able to close off using pull-down curtains. One of the things that stood out about this stay was the check-in and out processes, as they were fully automated and did not require staff intervention. I was able to swiftly do them. The staff were also very kind, and there seemed to always be somebody at the front desk, as there was a member at the front desk even at 5AM. One thing which might be improved are the bathrooms, since the floor is almost constantly wet from the shower section on the further end side of the room. Overall, I am very satisfied by the stay and if I were to visit Bratislava again, I would like to book here.

Overview: nice and super big rooms! Location: centrally located, 10-15 mins walking distance to most attractions like Bratislava Castle, Old Town Hall, Michael’s Gate etc, tram stations just within 2 mins away! Breakfast: good choice, particularly impressed when they extended the ending time by 10 mins on a Sunday as there were a lot of new guests the night before who might not have been aware of the ending time! Service: nice and friendly staff! Cleanliness: spotless from what I can see which is nice! Rooms: I thought I was staying in a flat for a second, super big and roomy, with sofa, a separate living area, impressive! Facilities: good gym, but the sauna costs a bit which is unexpected (and rare, consider it is a decent 4*…) so didn’t use it, and the lobby was a bit dim when I checked in at night, but not a major issue.

The breakfast was plentiful, and the location was super convenient – easy to walk to the old town and the train station. The front desk staff were also quite friendly. My only minor complaint is that on the second day, nobody came to change the towels, empty the trash, or replenish the tissues.
