The vibrant Zhenyuan ancient town

After coming out of the Tongren Fanjing Mountain, heading towards Qianhu, you will pass through Zhenyuan ancient town. This small mountain town in southeastern Guizhou has so many 'unexpected' features. Blue-grey tiles, small bridges over flowing water, the Wuyang River runs through the town. The cliffside architecture is a living fossil, and the alleys of the Guizhou Ancient Architecture Museum hide the only Fu Family Mansion that has not been renovated. This town is a true reflection of the people's lives, with no homestay street, no snack street, but markets, vendors, and old men fishing along the river. Zhenyuan ancient city itself does not charge an entrance fee, but some individual attractions inside sell separate tickets, with the old prefectural city on the north bank and the old garrison city on the south bank. Walking through the alleys of the ancient town is like traveling back to ancient times, where you can feel the tranquility and the sediment of the years. Here, you can experience the breath of life and cultural heritage, as well as beautiful scenery, making it an underestimated ancient town.
