I have finally arrived at the other side of the Anywhere Door, Kunshan 'Treasure Island Another Village'.
'Treasure Island Another Village' is located at No. 500 Yangshu Road, Kunshan City, inside the Kunshan Huiju Plaza. 'Treasure Island Another Village' is not an actual village, but a cultural and tourism commercial street, covering an area of about 20,000 square meters. This commercial street is carefully designed to reflect the nostalgic style of Treasure Island and the popular lifestyle, combined with the local characteristics of Kunshan. Walking on this street, not only can you taste the special cuisine of Treasure Island, but you can also appreciate the architectural styles of Southern Fujian and Treasure Island. A strong Treasure Island atmosphere prevails, as if you are on the island itself, offering a unique experience whether or not you have been to Treasure Island before.

The largest Mazu temple in East China
It was originally built as Huiju Temple during the Southern Dynasties, and was relocated and rebuilt in 2005, making it the largest Mazu temple in the East China region. With its red walls, swallowtail ridges, and golden yellow glazed tiles, the Quanzhou green stone reliefs and painted decorations, and ridge ornaments, it is highly characteristic of the Min-Taiwan style and Lugang features. It's very photogenic, you might even think you've gone to Quanzhou

Suzhou's Kunshan hides the largest Mazu Temple in the East China region
Huizhu Temple, the largest Mazu Temple in East China 🤩
📍Location: Intersection of Dongting Lake North Road and Yangshu Road, Kunshan Economic Development Zone, Suzhou City.
🅿️Parking: The underground garage is very big, feel free to park (Free parking with a meal receipt from any shop in the neighboring Taiwan Street)
🏞Photography: Every single frame is a scenic view, but as before, it is not recommended to take direct shots of the temple buildings or to photograph the Buddha. You can start snapping photos from the plaza, with the temple buildings behind it, followed by a garden courtyard, and beyond that, a landscape, making it an endless photo opportunity 🤗. Sisters who like my camera angle can leave a message, and I'll tell you more specifically.
❤️Interaction: If you are sincere, you can worship properly, and then ask the Buddha for a divination stick. I asked for one, and the moment I got the divination text, I got goosebumps, it was so accurate. I hope what is wished for will come true as written.
🍚Dining: Taiwan Street is just a wall away from the temple, and I will do a separate feature on Taiwan Street next time. It's also super photogenic. These two attractions together offer fun, photo ops, and food, which is super awesome, right?~

Kunshan Huiju Temple of the Heavenly Queen
Huiju Temple was originally located in the south of Ma'anshan (Yufeng Mountain) in Kunshan City, Jiangsu Province, and was founded in the tenth year of the Tianjian era of the Liang Dynasty (511 AD). In 2005, it was rebuilt in the Kunshan Development Zone on Yangshu Road (south bank of Taicang Pond, west side of Dongting Lake Road), with the main temple area covering an area of 22 acres.
Huiju Temple was founded in the tenth year of the Tianjian era of the Liang Dynasty (511 AD). With the grace of Emperor Wu of Liang, it was built by the master monk Huixiang (who was the teacher of Emperor Wu of Liang).
Historically, it was a Buddhist jungle in the south of the Yangtze River with significant influence, flourishing incense, and numerous followers. It is a millennium-old famous temple with a long history of humanities and brilliant artistic culture. 'In the Southern Dynasties, four hundred and eighty temples, how many towers in the misty rain,' among them was Huiju Temple.
In 2005, initiated by Chairman Cai of Baocheng International Group and other friendly individuals, and approved by the Jiangsu Provincial Ethnic and Religious Affairs Bureau, with the joint efforts of people from all walks of life across the Taiwan Strait, the Kunshan Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government rebuilt the millennium-old Huiju Temple in a different location in the Kunshan Development Zone, on the west side of Dongting Lake Road and north side of Yangshu Road, with the concept of 'innovative and breakthrough thinking, an inclusive mind, and the integration of cross-strait cultures.' The funds were donated by enterprises.
The temple area of Huiju Temple covers about 22 acres, with a construction area of about 7,000 square meters. Construction started in May 2008. The temple has a grand scale and a complete structure facing south from the north. The central axis temple area is nearly 6,500 square meters. From the cultural square, passing the Jingshui Bridge to the back, there are the Mountain Gate, Five Gates Hall, Ancestral Guest Hall, Yuantong Treasure Hall, Manjusri Hall, Samantabhadra Hall, Rear Hall, Wing Corridors, and the Suzhou Garden-style backyard, integrating traditional Southern Fujian and classical Taiwanese architecture, with elegant, beautiful, and exquisite traditional artistic characteristics.
It is the first temple architectural complex in East China that embodies the essence of cross-strait architectural art.
Combining Mazu culture, Buddhist culture, Minnan and Taiwanese culture, and Jiangnan culture, it is the first pure 'Minnan-Taiwanese' style temple architectural complex in East China and also the largest Mazu temple in the region.

It is based on the Longshan Temple of Lugang, Taiwan, incorporating various elements of Min-Taiwan style, while maintaining the grace and beauty of Suzhou's classical gardens. 🏞️
The temple's architecture includes the mountain gate, Hall of Heavenly Kings, bell and drum towers, Yuan Tong Bao Hall, Tianhou Palace, Shu Puxian Hall, etc. The Tianhou Palace, also known as 'Mazu Hall', leaves a deep impression.
