I enjoyed my stay at the Stoke Hotel. The room was comfortable, I was beside the laundry/maintenance room and noticed some noise during the day but not in the evenings or nights, it never bothered me. My room was adjacent to the hot tub and I did hear some loud good times but it didn't bother me and it was quiet by bedtime. Breakfast had so much selection. Waffles, eggs, potatoes, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, apples, grapefruit, oranges, muffins, bagels, and various breads and cookies. The hot foods are alternated, just so many options, it was fantastic and made for slow mornings sometimes. The breakfast staff were welcoming, great at stocking up and tidying up. The mornings were very enjoyable.
The bus shuttle stop was nearby and the front desk gave bus vouchers when I asked. There was also a free shuttle service downtown, to the Regent Hotel, just a matter of requesting after 5:30pm.
Staff were friendly, the premises were clean, my room and bed were comfy. Had a great stay even though it was not downtown and I didn't have a car.
Denny's, McDonald's, tim Hortons and a&w are in walking distance. Good location and comfortable stay.

Guest UserMy friend and I were very impressed with the Arbutus Inn. It was a very clean hotel and was newly renovated. The renovations were very tasteful and our room was very nice. You could also tell that there were new beds. They were very comfortable and had a good design. I was especially impressed that there no ”smoke” smell in the rooms or in the hotel lobby. All in all it was a very good experience.

Location close to the airport and pier, convenient for the next day
There is only one elevator in the whole hotel. It is very difficult to wait for a location during the morning peak period, especially when you are carrying luggage to check out, it is difficult to take the stairs.
The overall environment is good, the elevator problem

The hotel has solid amenities, there’s a gym, pool, and a functional kitchen. The room was spacious and had everything needed for a comfortable short stay. It’s a good option if you’re looking for a place with complete facilities at a reasonable price.
That said, cleanliness could be better. The room had a dusty smell, and the walls were visibly dusty, which took away from the overall comfort. Some finishes, like the cemented sinks in the kitchen and bathroom, felt a bit unfinished.
Service was okay, staff were polite, though not welcoming. Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM, which doesn’t give much flexibility.
Overall, a decent stay with good amenities, but there’s room for improvement in cleanliness and service.

It was great value for money, and the cleanliness exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Vancouver.

CrAzYd426Harrison Grand Motel is close to the 71 bus station, about 10-15 mins walking, the beach is just downstairs with the kids playground 🛝 and many restaurants, cafes nearby! The public mineral bath is just 5 minutes away from us, it’s easy to go everywhere!
We even got a welcoming ice cream, that’s amazing!
It’s perfect for family with kids and summer ❤️
It’s much better than I expected indeed (as some of the comments from Trip.com are not good!😎) it’s clean, with enough tissue + toilet paper, the sofa bed is good too! I love the balcony the most! It’s cool to sit there to enjoy the sunshine either way a beer. 😎

It was just a fantastic place...right on the beach. Couldn't have asked for a better location. The interior was just as fantastic.. Spacious with all modern furniture; An ensuite bathroom with shower off one of the 2 queen bedrooms. a king bedroom was the 3rd bedroom. A second bathroom had a tub shower.
We didn't use any of the kitchen cooking utensils, but everything needed to cook seemed to be there.
A washer/dryer came in handy as did the dishwasher. However only one tab for each was provided, so bring your own if you will need to do more than 1 wash for each.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

For the price, the size of the room (2 bedroom and kitchen) and the location with convenient parking it’s honestly a very good stay and deal for a family. The beach is literally right there, the parking is in front of your room door and the pool is nice too.
That being said, there’s a few things you should be aware of that other people mentioned in their comments. The bad smell other mentioned is true, it’s on and off smells like laundry that stayed in the washer. The AC/Fridge are indeed loud. The overall cleanliness is not so great, but I believe the beds and sheets were clean and that’s kind of all that matters in the end.

It’s an okay place to stay for a night after a long journey. Unfortunately, the pool was out of order during our stay due to a broken heater. We tried the hot tub, but the water was too hot to get in. Breakfast was basic, nothing special. The hallway was very cold, and the draft made its way into our room. The bathroom had a strange smell, but it appeared clean.
