I frequently visit Taipei, but this was my first time staying at the Grand Hotel. Its vibrant red aesthetic is incredibly captivating; every time the MRT passes by, I can't help but take an extra look. My direct experience staying here was excellent. Even though it was a windowless room, it didn't feel stuffy at all, and there were no odors, which shows how diligently the hotel manages its rooms. The breakfast spread was exceptionally rich – I ate for an hour and was completely stuffed! You can also visit the secret tunnels; this time I went to the East Secret Tunnel. It cost 500 TWD, and you can book it at a counter near the hotel's front desk.

We were on the 11th floor that provided thrilling rides and views in the elevator. The laundry facility was clean, inexpensive and efficient. There’s an auditorium, very nice for community events. The breakfast buffet is outstanding with many selections of both Asian and Western choices, all of it delicious. The fitness area is very nice and I wish we’d had time to enjoy the spa. The city views were nice and we could almost see the ocean. Robes and slippers were cozy. Would definitely stay again.

My stay at FX Hotel Tainan completely redefined my expectations for a budget hotel! The location is absolutely superb – Chihkan Tower and Guohua Street Food District are just a 10-minute walk away, and the Shennong Street cultural and creative area is also within easy reach. Just a left turn downstairs and you'll find a 7-Eleven; to the right, there are famous Lu Rou Fan (braised pork rice) and beef soup restaurants. For late-night cravings, heading straight to Bao'an Road Night Market was pure bliss! ✨ The mattress had just the right firmness, and the bathroom featured a separate wet and dry area. 🚗 Transportation is incredibly convenient too! It's only an 8-minute drive from Tainan Railway Station. Overall, it's perfect for budget-conscious travelers who still value quality. Found the place a bit outdated. Overall pretty happy with the place. Didn’t have the best sleep overall but that’s cause I’m a light sleeper. Didn’t like the breakfast buffett but there’s plenty of street food options if the food isn’t your jam. The room itself is a bit outdated and has prism thing instead of card. Place did the job.

Clean and well kept hotel. Very close to the train station (just across the road) and next to a shopping mall. However, would still need to take uber to other sights of Tainan. Check in took quite a while as we had 2 rooms booked under Trip.com. Originally gave us only one room with a Trip.com voucher which indicated 2 rooms. After checking for a fairly long while, they found the other room. Quite surprised of this service standard from shangri-la brand of hotels. We booked 2 nights and early morning which is around 8+am, housekeeping came knocking on our door to want to clean and tidy the room while we were still in bed. Asked how long we needed to let her in to clean the room. Was speechless as this is the first time we had such an encounter. Disappointed with the service but location and cleanliness of the hotel are good.

We arrived at the hotel and were warmly welcomed by the staff, who directed us to park in the underground garage. Check-in was quick and easy, and the room was clean and spacious enough. Bed was comfortable. The hotel is in a great location, close to Chiayi’s main sights, although there isn’t much to do immediately around the hotel itself.

We had an excellent stay! The family room (triple) was spacious and comfortable, perfect for traveling with kids. The Wi-Fi was fast and reliable throughout our stay, and the breakfast spread was generous with a great variety of options. The body lotion smells so good , we bought one back (cost 1000 TWD) for own use, available at front desk . Overall, a wonderful experience. Highly recommended for families!

The hotel is conveniently located near Tainan Railway Station. Just to clarify, this is the conventional (TRA) train station, not the High-Speed Rail (HSR) station. If you arrive by HSR, you can catch a local train from Shalun Station to Tainan Station; trains depart every half hour. Rooms are quite spacious, but the sound insulation isn't great – you can easily hear activity from outside the door. Bottled water isn't provided in the rooms; however, each floor has a water dispenser for guests to use.

Pool was littered with debris from the strong winds. The water quality was good, but the pool staff could have done a better job at hauling out the debris at the deep end of the pool. The jacuzzi was a disappointment. The presence of greenish/yellowish algae in the water made the jacuzzi uninviting. The heater was turned off and will not be turned on until the third week of November. I was there during the last week of October. Every resort I stayed at had the jacuzzi heated despite the time of the year or the ambient air temperature. If it is the position of the management to not clean or heat the jacuzzi, then the jacuzzi should be covered up and blocked off. The breakfast buffet was horrible considering how much money they charged. I probably will not stay or recommend this hotel. It’s has a lot of potential!

As soon as you enter the lobby, you can feel the high-quality service. The entire lobby is very comfortable with a light fragrance. The check-in procedure was fast and we checked in early, so we could let our children go to the room and rest early. Every detail and facility in the room and hotel was perfect, and the whole family slept very well. Highly recommend and will definitely return.
