Room is spacious and clean. Breakfast variety is good. Getting to the room is confusing at the start (lift at hidden area, need to go up, walk across the bridge and take another lift to go up again), LG and level 3 is the same. 2 restaurants on site where the food is quite good. Not walkable to anywhere, quite convenient using grab each time though.
”The hotel was in a fantastic location, close to all the popular landmarks. Our room was very spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and beautiful views from the balcony. The staff were incredibly friendly and efficient, and the breakfast was delicious with many fresh options. We had a truly pleasant and relaxing stay!”

Not really satisfied, service could be better.
Reached at 4pm (indoesia time) to check in, was asked to wait as the room is not ready. Waited for 10mins which is okay.
Card only given 1 - not convenient when we arranged inhouse massage as one of us need to stay in the room with the massuer while my husband went down to pick up another masseur and the room went off pitch black.
Breakfast - eggs ran out by 9am, and was told that there will be no more eggs
Checkout day, called reception around 10am - request for additional mineral bottle for drinking but was told that we are checking out today and we would need to purchase the bottle.
Checkout - was running 5 minutes late, reception already called asking to check out now.
Bed and pillows are okay and comfortable to sleep. There’s international plug so you can use if you’re using 3 pin plug.
Location is perfect, just across the Tunjungan Plaza but nothing nice to shop. Just boring.
Service could be better, but definitely not returning for us.
This was a really nice hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was really nice, modern and clean. I would recommend staying here. The only flaw I had in this room was when the air conditioning was on it it blew directly towards the blind which resulted in it tapping off the wall every 5/10 seconds. Which was fine during the day but when trying to sleep it was quite annoying. Maybe it was just my room but it did disturb my sleep. Other than this I cannot fault the hotel. It has a Indomaret and KFC within 1 minute walk which is helpful.

The cleanliness of the duvet in the room needs improvement; there were several blood stains on it. I brought my own four-piece bedding set, originally thinking I wouldn't use it since I was only staying one night. However, my child found multiple dirty spots on the duvet, so I ended up using my own bedding set.
Overall, it was a pleasant and enjoyable stay at the hotel. However, there are a few areas that could be improved:
During peak season like Lebaran, only one elevator was operational at the time of our check-in. Although a second elevator was later in use, one remained out of service. This resulted in quite long waiting times, especially considering the high occupancy period.
We also paid for breakfast at the reception, but our name was not initially listed at the restaurant. While the issue was resolved quickly, it did affect the overall comfort and experience.
Additionally, the breakfast menu remained the same for two consecutive days. It might be worth reviewing the menus. We came around 9 AM (we know it’s quite late) and many items were already unavailable and not refilled.
However, overall the room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely consider coming back, though likely without opting for the breakfast.

I had a wonderful experience at the Four Seasons by Sheraton. The location is perfect for tourists — there’s a large shopping mall right next door, making it super convenient for dining and shopping. A lively tourist street is also just a short walk away, so there’s always something to explore.
The service was outstanding throughout my stay. The staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Overall, this hotel offers great comfort, convenience, and hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!
Very strategic location in the central of surabaya. Front desk speak limited english but nothing to expect for the price. Its quite clean and convenient

The location was perfect for us, as we really enjoy exploring a new city on foot. There are many eateries within walking distance of the hotel, including the famous Tunjungan No. 39 restaurant, as well as major shopping malls like Tunjungan Plaza.
The service provided by the staff was also excellent, from the front desk to the cleaning crew and even the security guard. We will definitely come back again.
Room was comfy, clean, and smelled nice when I walked in. Big smart TV, Amenities were all there, nothing missing.
There’s a bathtub which you can use to relax while watching tv, and the view from the room was spectacular. Bed was big and comfortable.
Staff were friendly and helpful, everything went smoothly. Would definitely stay here again.

Very Good
RRose AnnWe use this place every time we go to Ijen to do birdwatching for years.
Room is ok with warm and good water pressure.
They have western and local restaurant on site. The Western one was ok but the local restaurant is always a no and serve poor quality food, the warung can serve better Nasi goreng than in here. Some of the server in the local restaurant are lack of training.
GGuest UserHotel is connected to a mall. Great location. Room is clean. Breakfast at Magnolia has an extensive spread. Quality of food is good, nice presentation and service by staff is excellent. Ambience at Club lounge is nice. What stands out most in this 5* hotel is the world class service rendered by all staff consistently. There is no staff that isn’t polite or helpful. Many go the extra mile to ensure that the hotel guests needs are well taken care of. Special thanks to Evan of the Club Lounge who attended to us when we checked in and Tian when we checked out, Bayu and colleagues (Conceige) who assisted us with ordering of Spikoe lapis cake and Bu Rudy, Lita and David (Magnolia) who served us at our table and Bastian and team for keeping the room clean. We highly recommend this hotel.
GGuest UserDelicious Indonesian Javanese food specially created by the host, May, as well as the level of dedicated service is the highlight of this hotel.
The menu food sounds unappealing, but all 7 lunch and dinners were so good.
You have to try the chicken satay, which is soft and has white clean meat.
The tuna is melted and panini is so fresh.
The spaghetti cakalang is her created recipe of smoked fish and spaghetti. Her tofu and Tempe must not be missed!
Her tempong chicken is yummy and fresh! Feels like it's directly from the farm.
Nasi goreng must not be missed!
Papayas seem to be in the season.
Fried bananas covered in coconut flakes are not to be missed!
In this hotel, don't expect luxury cleanliness because there are a lot of insects (bees, butterflies, moths, grasshopper, flies), spiders, millipedes, lizards, even a gecko. If you want to stay in this rustic resort you have to be okay with them.
I didn't like the insects stuff in the room but the hosts immediately sent their staff to deal with them. Staff are friendly just be patient with them because not all speak English.
May was a super host, who gave ALL sorts of ideas on where to go, and how to go, and gives you contacts and numbers and details. Ibnu makes the best dirty latte in Banyuwangi, most probably. The hosts are very nice and go out of the way to make their guests welcome. They even dropped us at a nearby tour site, and also gave us a short walk to the beach nearby.
This level of service is almost unbeatable. Staff are always ready and welcome to greet and smile at you.
I think the Indonesian and Javanese meals are better than the breakfast menu.
Breakfast pancake and American breakfast normal only.
They generously dropped us off at Bangsring Underwater which was 3-5 mins away, which MUST NOT BE MISSED for snorkelling beginners! (But first check out if the season is good for snorkelling)
If you stay here, be prepared there's not much in the area. And not much air-conditioned cafes or restaurant or shops nearby too.
The family room has a breathtaking view of the mountains but because of the attic like structure, is prone to insects and lizards and stuff. It had a resident gecko.
The deluxe suite room had a flat ceiling so lesser insects! + huge verandah for drying your clothes + pink bougainvillea.
There are corn fields beside the hotel.
They send food to your room if you don't want to eat in the restaurant which also has a amazing view. Restaurant has rustic vibes with antique candelabras
(+ spiders).
GGuest UserGreat value for money during the off-peak season. The safari-themed room offered fantastic animal views. It rained on our first day, so we stayed in the hotel. We missed out on the breakfast with the giraffes as we couldn't get a reservation, but a kind Chinese lady let my child join in feeding them anyway. We had all our breakfasts at the hotel, but the food could definitely be improved. We booked the predator feeding activity, and the kids absolutely loved it! The room was a bit small, and the bed was only 90cm wide.
HHook OneStayed there for 3 nights. Check-in was quick. Room amenities were just average and I noticed the bath towels were clean but need to replace as it looked slightly ”brownish” and slightly worn.
Breakfast was just average selections. And selections did not change for the 3 nights I stayed there.
However, it was a nice hotel and welcoming.
LLysanderdennisMy first experience stay here, it is good hotel, despite it’s quite old hotel, only the gym facility didn’t meet my expectation
Services are great!
LLtataThe hotel overall was acceptable, quite small and not very spacious, which made the stay for family slightly uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, early check-in was not available, which was inconvenient after a long journey.
I was assigned a corner room near the emergency exit, which was less ideal due to limited views and occasional noise. The refrigerator also had a strong damp and musty smell, as if it had not been properly cleaned or used for a long time.
In addition, the bed sheets had many visible stains, which was disappointing and concerning, especially since I noticed similar complaints in other reviews. Cleanliness should be a top priority, and this issue significantly affected my overall comfort.
With better maintenance, improved cleanliness, and more flexible check-in options, the overall experience could be much better.
GGuest UserA very good vintage hotel in Surabaya Old Tiown. Loca yes just across Taman Sejarah and near Jembatan Merah.
The service is excellent, when I got a warm welcoming letter and a plate of chocolate cake.
GGuest UserRoom is spacious and clean. Breakfast variety is good. Getting to the room is confusing at the start (lift at hidden area, need to go up, walk across the bridge and take another lift to go up again), LG and level 3 is the same. 2 restaurants on site where the food is quite good. FFirzahardynOne of the good hotels to try. Because there are many strategic places that sell cheap food and sungi because the location is in the middle of housing. The weather is cool and there is also a swimming pool. Suitable for families and couples for weekends or long holidays
