Lovely budget hotel about 20 mins walk from Temple Bar area. Upon arrival nothing was too much and a warm welcome from Diana , giving us a coffee as we had come in on an early morning flight. Rooms were clean and basic. Comfortable bed , lovely clean shower room with powerful shower. A bit tight for room but it was only a base to get our heads down and change. There is a vending machine for morning coffee … easy walk into town… just follow the tram tracks , and easy for the Guinness Storehouse and Jameson Distillery. Excellent value for money if you’re going to be spending most of your time away from the hotel , but comfortable enough to unwind for a few hours too.

I paid for my granddaughter to stay at the Gresham for a weekend as a birthday treat. (She was 21). She took her boyfriend in tow and this is a first hand review from them - coz the family all know I love putting reviews on. I do think people deserve them. The check in was very quick and efficient. The staff were lovely they said. The room was more than they expected, the hotel had upgraded them to a superior king on the request of Vincenzo (the reservation supervisor) - what a lovely man..! I had spoke to him personally the week before and he upgraded them without being asked. The room was warm, comfortable and so very noticeably clean. The couple were so impressed with everything. I’m told the best thing (which could not fit into a suitcase) was the shower cubicle. Jack in 6ft 4ins and was thrilled to be able to stand up in the shower. A simple thing but important for taller people. The bed was long enough for him too. They did have a meal in the restaurant that first evening and when I asked for a score out of 10 for the food I was told 50/10…. You can see the photos and although the quantity might not be overwhelming the steak was so perfect, the fish so fresh that the plates were cleared and they said they were stuffed.! So, two nights in the hotel, two breakfasts that were also hot, well cooked and a great choice of continental and main. Not one complaint. mmmm well, maybe one. It seems the housekeeping do start early and woke our couple up both days but sure that got them on the move for breakfast. So, this is where I thank the hotel for giving my granddaughter a lovely, homely time. If she had been disappointed I would be writing something different without question. Now the rest of the family can’t wait to go - it’s been a while since we were there. It’s also lovely to know the Gresham still has its long time great reputation.

The junior staff were amazing, senior staff were up themselves, location was great hotel was clean. The dining area was too small and for a 4 star hotel I would've expected my breakfast served, not help yourself style you would find at a travel lodge. In short over priced rooms no lesuire facilities and for 4 mojitos cost €50 I've had better value for money elsewhere. First and last time I will stay here!!!

Last time I stayed here ( about 6 years ago?) room was dirty so have not been back again until three weeks ago. Location is superb right at the edge of Temple bar along the River Liffey -downside its a party area so like most Hotels in this area dont plan to sleep until late as lots of noise from bars etc. Room was lovely with lots of nice touches -only big issues I had was in 12c Dublin coming from 32c Jakarta and central heating did not work-you have to call reception to get it switched on then it cuts off every hour and does not work again until you call reception-totally unacceptable for a 5 star Hotel . Ended calling them five times so not much sleep!! It was a Tuesday night so looked like one of the bars in the Hotel was shut-but lots outside anyhow. Did not have breakfast as last time I did was served-took ages and was cold-judging by recent reviews on tripadvisor looks like this still. Reception on check in and out would not win any prizes for their hospitality and were just ok-could learn from The Morrison across the river where I stayed a few nights earlier -genuine hospitality. Would I stay there again -NO -leave it to Bono and the locals -heat is a basic requirement as is hospitality-better Hotels for the same or less money to be had in Dublin City.

I stayed in a 4 bed mixed dormitory. Beds were very clean, and there waa enough space to store my travel belongings. There was no noise from other rooms, and the shower and toilet inside the room was clean and functional too. 15 to 20 minute walk to Temple Bar, another 10 minute from Temple Bar to Trinity Collegr. Had no problem walking from the accomodation to other points of interests in Dublin. Overall, a great value for travellers. Tip: Do reserve breakfast. The bread is warm if you go in the opening hour, and you can eat enough to last for both breakfast AND lunch while walking all day. Save the lunch budget for better dinner.

Hostels around the world need to take note of what a real hostel is — and that's Jacobs Inn Hostel in Dublin. Located in the center of Dublin and easy to locate, you're greeted with friendly, warm staff who can help you with anything you need. Advice on landmarks, restaurants, events, they have an answer. The commons area is packed full of people working, socializing or just simply relaxing. Music is not too loud so communicating and working is made easy. It's very atmospheric and it's a great place to make new friends on your travels. It's amazing decorated and their bar/dining area is incredible. Breakfast is served and you're offered a good variety to choose from. The rooms, or pods, are clean, well-maintained and the bathrooms are neat. You're afforded privacy in a modern fashion.
The Morgan Hotel

Although the whole area was under construction, the actual location was excellent. We walked almost everywhere to all major attractions such as Parliament, Big Ben, the Eye, Wes**inster Abbey, the Bridges, etc. As a runner it was easy to simply follow the Thames so I wouldn’t get lost. I liked the Gym and Pool and especially loved the restaurant. The restaurant was very dirty, the seats needed to be brushed out and wiped down, even the chair legs were greasy looking BUT the food was really good. The bar did not carry any Cabernet wine which was odd.. our bar tender Danny was very good and friendly. I liked our suite, it looked over the railroad tracks but worth it for us with 2 teenage boys to have the suite. The entrance to the hotel was extremely over bearing with a strong perfumed air freshener… it made it difficult to breathe upon entering but as soon as I got away from it in the elevator I could breathe. Overall, it was a good place to stay for a vacation in London.
Crowne Plaza Dublin - Blanchardstown

We had previously stayed in this hotel with our son when we were in Blanchardstown for a rugby event. This time my wife and I spent a night in the hotel to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. I had told Graham who was the reception manager about our anniversary and he arranged for chocolates and cake to be delivered to our room. Graham also arranged for us to have a Premium room, which was beautifully decorated. We spent a lovely day in Blanchardstown and enjoyed having breakfast in the room, which was first class and piping hot. I can not recommend this hotel highly enough and have already done so to my friends, we will definitely return!

We arrived on time and there were only 3 car parking spaces outside, one of which was taken up by a service vehicle which had been there for five days and management hadn't bothered trying to move it. There are no staff on site and we were promised a code by email to get into the hotel but it never arrived. Eventually we got one by phoning a mobile number. The website told us we could get in to our room at 2pm but the cleaner didn't finish cleaning it until 3.30pm. The room was shabby and dusty and three storeys up with no lift and the beds were uncomfortable. The cost of a twin room with no breakfast was a ridiculously expensive 350 euros. The only facilities downstairs were a fridge and a microwave. At 9.45am, the cleaner rapped our bedroom door and asked us to leave. Check-out time was 10am. The so-called free Wifi didn't work. We met four other couples who were equally disgusted and frustrated. Avoid this hotel which is more like a badly run hostel.
