The hotel environment was very comfortable, and most importantly, it was extremely easy to find. It’s located right opposite Kyoto Station, which makes traveling around incredibly convenient. It also offers self check-in and self check-out, which was really convenient and efficient. From Kyoto Station, you can easily reach Nara and Uji directly by train. There are also bus stops right across the hotel that take you straight to popular attractions such as Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Ninenzaka, Sannenzaka, and Yasaka Shrine. Another huge plus is the convenience—there’s a FamilyMart and a 7-Eleven just across the street, which was incredibly handy. As for the room, it truly fits the saying “small but well-equipped.” Everything we needed was provided. We traveled with one 24-inch and one 28-inch suitcase, and by moving the table and chairs slightly, we were able to open both suitcases comfortably. The desk and chairs were especially appreciated, as they were very friendly for travelers who still need to work during the trip.

Located on a main road in Kyoto, this hotel is super close to Nishiki Market and Kamo River, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and sightseeing. The front desk is on the second floor, and the breakfast on the first floor offers a wide variety of food. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the service is warm and friendly. Overall, it was a great experience, highly recommended!

Nice, calm and compact hotel situated in a neighborhood (no traffic sounds). Very comfortable beds 🛌, I had a great sleep. Friendly staff. Unfortunately the hotel doesn’t offer anything except of the most basic necessities (amenities), but for sleeping over it is good enough. Walkable distance to the imperial palace park, walkable to the centre, very good location. The room(s) could use deeper cleaning of the dust in the rooms (see pictures).

The hotel is quite large and conveniently located next to Karasuma Oike Station, where the Tozai and Karasuma subway lines intersect. It's a bit removed from the bustling city center, which makes it very quiet and perfect for a good night's rest. The windows can be opened, and there's a supermarket nearby that's cheaper and has a wider selection than convenience stores. It's only about a fifteen-minute walk to Kawaramachi. A really great hotel; I'll definitely stay here again on my next trip to Kyoto!

The room is quite spacious and there is washing machine with detergent inside the room in the shower area which is a plus. There is also heater in the kitchen which can be used to dry your clothes. Room is also clean and have the basic amenities such as toothbrush, razor, comb, etc. The only cons is that the staff might be away at the reception during lunch hour and there is no one there to guide you to check in. Will be good if there is at least 1 staff there at the counter on rotate. Highly recommended to stay here as it is quiet, clean, and near the subway/bus stop to tourist attraction.

The hotel is conveniently located very close to Kyoto Station, and they even offer a thoughtful shuttle service to and from the station. The facilities are excellent, with a grand and opulent lobby, and the front desk staff provide smiling service, including Chinese-speaking staff, which was a very warm and welcome touch. The rooms are well-equipped, comfortable, spacious, and bright. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. There are shopping malls and supermarkets nearby, making it easy to get around and find plenty of shopping and dining options. The autumn leaves are beautiful right now, and Ctrip offered a great price.

I highly recommend this hotel chain; they have many branches in Kyoto, all with excellent locations. On my first night, I stayed across from Kyoto Station, and that hotel was over 200 yen more expensive but very average. Actually, there's a branch of this chain near Kyoto Station too. The location of the one I booked is superb. It's just a few hundred meters walk to Daimaru and Takashimaya department stores, Arc'teryx is right around the corner, and it's not far to the Kamo River, next to Kyoto's busiest shopping street. You can hear traffic at night, but it didn't affect my sleep. The room was quite spacious, I think I got an upgrade, and there was no problem opening two suitcases. Important note: This hotel provides water! No need to buy your own! The front desk offers facial cleanser, face cream, and other amenities, all with lovely scents, and there was even hair essential oil with a gentle fragrance – I regret only taking one. The whole hotel had a wonderful Christmas atmosphere. Next time I'm in Kyoto, I'll definitely book here again!

Fantastic hotel, great amenities, great onsen, very good staff, and very nice breakfast buffet. We had a two single beds reservation and asked if they could put the two together to make one large bed... they said ok, and upgraded us to a larger room... we are very grateful to the front desk lady and the staff. The hotel has a superbe top deck with a nice view all over Kyoto. The Kyoto aquarium is 9 minutes away on foot from the hotel, and their is a bridge from the hotel straight to the JR station. We will book it again.

I stayed at Onyado Nono for 3 nights during my trip to Kyoto, and it was truly a 'sweet trap' – I didn't want to leave! Here are a few reasons why you absolutely must stay here: 1. **Breakfast Beyond Compare:** 🥢 Seriously, I have to rave about their Japanese buffet breakfast! It's a 'seafood donburi free-for-all' with incredibly fresh and abundant ingredients. Every morning, I ate until I was 'bursting at the seams,' fully recharged and ready to start my day. This breakfast alone is worth the price of the stay. 2. **Soul-Soothing Yonaki Ramen:** 🍜 The 'Yonaki Ramen' served after 9:30 PM is an open secret among guests. Although it's a complimentary (free) vegetarian ramen (soy-sauce based), the broth is incredibly fresh, and the noodles are perfectly springy and authentic! Having a bowl after a hot spring bath is the ultimate late-night comfort. 3. **Natural Hot Springs:** ♨️ After a long day of exploring Kyoto (like Kiyomizu-dera and Gion), being able to soak in a genuine natural hot spring at the hotel instantly melts away all the fatigue. 4. **Overall Experience:** The location is convenient, not far from Kyoto Station. The hotel's 'hot spring + feast' combination is simply 'addicting' and incredibly comfortable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto who wants to experience authentic Japanese service and is looking for great value for money!

Traveling solo, the room was spacious enough! I stayed for three nights during the tail end of maple season for just over 800 (yen/currency unspecified, assuming local currency based on context), and it even included two meals! Both meals were palatable, and I especially loved the vegetables with vinaigrette. Japanese vegetables are expensive, but here they were unlimited, which was fantastic! Eating a meal before heading out in the morning, and then coming back to the hotel tired from exploring just in time for dinner – it was perfect! It's not far from Kyoto Station, and I enjoy walking, so strolling along and admiring the plants and architecture on both sides of the street was quite interesting. There's a beautiful row of ginkgo trees along the road in front of the hotel.

XXingfudeyanyanI was extremely satisfied with my stay this time. The room was prepared exactly as I requested, which I really appreciated. My room included executive lounge access, offering snacks, drinks, coffee, tea, and alcohol – a great place to sit and relax. The room facilities were meticulously maintained, and all appliances were quiet. My only minor complaint was the hairdryer, which was a bit old-fashioned and took a long time to dry my hair. The hotel staff, including the front desk and shuttle service, were exceptionally professional, very considerate, and provided excellent, personalized service. The shuttle bus stop at Kyoto Station is located behind the station, near the Hachijo East Exit, in the area where taxis and buses pick up passengers. It runs conveniently from 8 AM to 8:30 PM. You can see the exact location in my last two photos.

AAhmet ZekiDear Sir/Madam, I recently had the opportunity to stay at your hotel, and I would like to share my experience with you. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional design and comfort your property offers. Kengo Kuma’s architectural brilliance, with its use of natural wood, thoughtful lighting, and integration of art pieces, creates a stunning and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the materials, the size of the beds, and the premium linens were truly impressive. In terms of design and comfort, your hotel sets a remarkable standard. However, I did encounter several service-related issues that I believe could be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience. I would like to share these points in the hope that they are helpful for future improvements: 1. Breakfast Lounge and Sushi Area: The proximity of these two areas creates a strong odor upon entering, which can be unpleasant. Improved ventilation could easily mitigate this issue. 2. Food and Beverage Service After Breakfast: The lack of food and beverage service after breakfast hours was inconvenient. At the very least, providing a space for guests to enjoy tea or coffee would be a welcome addition. 3. Room Service Availability: After a long journey, I was surprised to learn that room service was unavailable and that only rice balls could be provided. Expanding room service options would greatly improve the guest experience. 4. Flexibility with Breakfast Hours: Due to the time difference, I arrived slightly late for breakfast at 10:10 AM and was informed that nothing could be served. Even my request for tea did not receive a clear response. Greater flexibility in accommodating guests dealing with jet lag would be highly appreciated. 5. Lobby Services: The inability to offer anything to drink or even host a guest in the lobby felt restrictive. This could be improved to make the lobby a more welcoming space. 6. Spa Experience: I was unable to experience the renowned Banyan Tree spa as it was fully booked. Expanding spa reservation availability would help meet guest expectations for this signature offering. In summary, while the hotel excels in design and comfort, the service offerings seem to be constrained by rigid rules and limited hours, which can detract from the overall guest experience. I strongly believe that adopting a more flexible, guest-centered approach would significantly enhance satisfaction. If the above issues were addressed, I would certainly consider staying at your hotel again during my next visit to Kyoto. Once again, I want to thank you for the exceptional design and comfort provided during my stay and hope that these suggestions contribute to further elevating your standards. Best regards, next visit to Kyoto. RReneehuangHighly Recommended Stay in Kyoto I would like to strongly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kyoto. The staff demonstrate exceptional professionalism and hospitality. In particular, I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Miss Yuki, who assisted us with our check-in and kindly introduced many wonderful sightseeing spots and activities in Kyoto, as well as to Miss Tsai, a ********* staff member who supported us during check-out with great warmth and care. Their thoughtful service truly reflects the welcoming spirit of Kyoto and the hotel’s commitment to excellence. I am genuinely impressed by the quality of the team members who bring guests happiness and satisfaction through their dedication. They truly deserve recognition and applause for their outstanding service. Our two-night stay was far too short, and we are already looking forward to returning in the near future.

MMiwangdenvhuangdiThe location is superb, right by Kyoto Station and just a two-minute walk from the exit. As a designer hotel, it certainly met expectations; the staff's strong service-mindedness made for a very comfortable stay. However, the lack of basic amenities such as toothpaste, toothbrushes, shower caps, and cotton pads was a letdown. For a supposed five-star hotel, I found this to be incredibly cheap. Especially considering the high nightly rate; a two-night stay certainly wasn't inexpensive.

KKuailedexiaoyaojingwxgThe location is the biggest advantage, right inside the JR train station. Kyoto Theater is downstairs from the hotel. Across the street is Isetan, and downstairs is the Porta shopping mall, which has countless dining options. In front of the station, there are taxi and bus stops. Behind the station are various long-distance bus terminals and hotel shuttle stops, as well as the airport shuttle station. The entire commercial area is well-designed, and the hotel is perfectly situated within it. The room size is generous, allowing 2-3 large suitcases to be laid flat. The bathroom features a wet/dry separation, and the toilet has its own private space. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit.

FFCBarcaxiaomaiziThe hotel is just one stop away from Kyoto JR Station; you step right out into it. There's also a bus stop right outside the entrance. It's very convenient for visiting attractions in Kyoto city. The whole place feels very new and modern. You're required to take off your shoes upon entering the hotel, and walking barefoot throughout the entire premises takes a bit of getting used to. They offer complimentary late-night noodles starting at 9:30 PM daily. In the mornings, there's unlimited Yakult, and in the evenings, free-flow ice pops. Both indoor and outdoor onsen (hot springs) are available. However, since Kyoto likely doesn't have volcanoes, the overall quality of the hot springs can't quite compare to similar hotels in areas like Hakone. P.S. This hotel belongs to the same management group as Mizunone, where I stayed in Hakone last year.

GGuest UserOnline hotel bookings can often feel like a blind box draw, but Dusit Thani was definitely the right pick. Every staff member I encountered had an excellent attitude, the room was spotless, and even though the turndown service only provided a bottle of water, it was a pleasant and thoughtful touch. Thai brands truly excel in their service consciousness and aesthetic sense. The room itself was incredibly comfortable, and with no other guests in the public lobby areas, I thoroughly enjoyed the bliss of reading a book alone.

FfongThe rooms are decent. There's a communal bath, which is kind of like a hot spring, though the water is just regular tap water – it was clean and hygienic. On the second floor, there's a ping-pong table, an all-you-can-drink bar, and a small kids' play area. It feels like a friendly little community. The staff are all polite and attentive. There's an aquarium very close by, and the hotel has a back entrance for direct access. We didn't realize this until we walked all the way around in the rain! There's a surface parking lot if you drive, costing 2500 yen per day for unlimited use, but the small road leading in can be a bit tricky to find.
