"I was lucky enough to get upgraded to a suite. The room was spacious and very clean, and there was even a projector in the bedroom. The front desk staff were all very nice and enthusiastic. The room features smart home controls, so adjusting the curtains and lights by voice is super convenient. The only downside was that some guests were smoking right outside the elevator, and the smell was really strong. (Even though there were 'no smoking' signs, some people still chose to smoke there – it's really inconsiderate!)"

"My first stay at Feno Art Residence was amazing, the location is incredibly convenient! It's just a few minutes' walk to the Wanguo Outlets shopping mall, and surrounded by authentic local Jiangnanxi restaurants – dim sum, Cantonese snacks, and more are all within easy reach, making shopping and dining super convenient. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was spotless and odor-free, and even the bathroom was impeccably clean, giving me peace of mind. The overall decor is simple yet artistic, and the environment is quiet and comfortable. A fantastic new experience! This is definitely my first choice when visiting Jiangnanxi, and I'll stay here again next time I'm in Guangzhou! And their popcorn is delicious! 🍿🍿"

ECHIC Hotel (Guangzhou Zhengjia Plaza Tiyuxilu Subway Station)

9.6/10
Excellent

The EASE Hotel Zhengjia Sports West Road Branch is incredibly conveniently located. It's just a few minutes' walk to the subway station, and Zhengjia Plaza and Teemall are practically next door, making shopping and getting around a breeze. The room was spotlessly clean and tidy, and the soundproofing was excellent; despite the bustling street outside, it was incredibly quiet inside. The smart amenities were also very easy to use. The hotel breakfast offered a great variety, with hot congee, noodles, desserts, and fresh fruit all available. The flavors were refreshing and not greasy, making for a truly satisfying start to the day. The front desk staff were warm and attentive. They also have a self-service laundry room with dryers, which is a huge plus for travelers. Overall, it offers fantastic value for money, and I'd definitely choose to stay here again whenever I'm in Tianhe for leisure or business.

I spent a long time choosing before coming, and I definitely picked the right hotel. The hardware facilities are great, the location is good, and overall it's very nice. Especially the aunt steaming buns at breakfast – she was quietly making them one by one. It's rare these days to find places still doing things fresh instead of using pre-made stuff. However, there were some issues. When checking in, I asked the front desk about the room upgrade mentioned during booking. The front desk staff confidently said I had been upgraded and that the room assigned was already an upgraded one. But after checking my room details, she then said this was already the best room and any further upgrade would have to be to a suite, which was unavailable due to high demand. I didn't say anything at the time. After checking in, when I grabbed the slippers, I found a large foreign object with curly hair on them. Later that evening, the drain clogged shortly after I started showering. I reported it to the hotel again, and thankfully, the maintenance technician handled it promptly. This is a very rare occurrence. I brought these issues to the hotel's attention, and they later offered to upgrade my room, but I declined. I felt quite uncomfortable, as if I was deliberately causing trouble. In fact, when I went swimming that evening, I noticed the occupancy rate wasn't high at all, and even at 9 am the next day, there weren't many people at breakfast, which indicates the hotel had available rooms. If you can't offer an upgrade, then don't advertise it. Advertising something you can't deliver completely ruins the user experience. The next day, I saw holes and dark spots on the bedding, which I photographed. Since it was only for two nights, I didn't bring it up again. When leaving, because I had a lot of things, I asked the hotel for two shopping bags. To my shock, they gave me several laundry bags and said they were out of shopping bags. This is an issue even budget hotels wouldn't have! ”You're telling me you don't have any in stock?!” As my child and I were loading a lot of luggage into the taxi, there was only one staff member in a white shirt at the hotel entrance, who just watched us the entire time without offering any help or saying a word. It felt quite cold. How should I put this? I think it's a good hotel, and perhaps my expectations were a bit high. Still, I would stay here again next time, and I hope it will be even better then.

I originally booked this hotel because it's close to the APM mall and Xiguan Old Town on Metro Line 8. It's very convenient for visiting Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street, and Yongqing Fang. Xihua Road next door has plenty of food options. For the price range, the room space is quite generous, and there's a robot that delivers takeout right to your door. The room also has a 'Xiaodu' voice assistant. The dining was an unexpected delight. The buffet breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, so much so that I ended up ordering a lot of takeout at night because I was full from breakfast. The hotel also provides an afternoon tea, and a simple late-night snack. In the afternoon, I mainly enjoyed some fruit. There's also an umbrella rental machine at the hotel. You just scan and pay a deposit, and surprisingly, it's free to use! The deposit is refunded once you return it. I'll definitely book here again next time I'm in Guangdong.

My last visit to the Four Seasons Guangzhou was nine years ago, and the experience still exceeded my expectations. It truly showcases the enduring charm of a well-established luxury hotel. I had been concerned that after so many years, the hotel's facilities and services might have declined, but this stay completely dispelled those worries. Everything was still in excellent condition, with no signs of wear and tear, truly maintaining its high quality. I arrived at the hotel late at night, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. I requested a late check-out from the front desk, and the staff were incredibly accommodating, successfully extending my check-out time to 3 PM. This gave me plenty of time to rest properly without having to rush my departure. All of the hotel staff were polite, courteous, and responsive, with thoughtful attention to detail evident everywhere. Not only were the facilities well-maintained, but the warm and considerate service was an even bigger plus. Many older luxury hotels see their guest experience decline over the years, but the Four Seasons Guangzhou has consistently maintained its high standards. This stay was overall comfortable and relaxing, making it perfect for both extended stays and short trips. I will definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Guangzhou.

The overall decor is simple yet luxurious, elegant and grand without being over-the-top. The soothing scent in the lobby and at the front desk immediately made me feel relaxed upon entering. The bedding in the guest room was soft and comfortable against the skin. Check-in and check-out at the front desk were quick, and the staff member, housekeeper Season, was polite and professional, responding promptly to any requests. Overall, the stay experience was quite good.

A very pleasant stay. The front desk staff upgraded us to an executive room. The room was spacious with a great view; the private balcony offered stunning river and city views (including the iconic Canton Tower). During the day, we watched shows on the projector screen, and in the evening, we enjoyed a bath while taking in the river scenery – it was a truly wonderful experience. The only minor drawback is the hotel's slightly remote location. Although there's a bus to the subway station, getting back and forth in the evening still required a taxi. Nevertheless, this didn't overshadow the overall positive experience, and I'd definitely come back given the chance!

Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou

The location is quite good, but the road in front of the hotel gets really congested during rush hour. And with Guangzhou bus drivers cutting in recklessly, those driving themselves really need to watch out not to get scraped. My second minor gripe is that for some reason, the Mandarin Oriental is so insistent on canned Voss water. The problem is, as soon as you open these cans, water splashes out everywhere. I hope the MO can improve this mineral water next time I visit. Everything else was great; the room was very tidy, and the cleanliness and attention to detail were also excellent.

The hotel is very beautiful, in a (for European taste) classic style. The breakfast was a highlight, very good choices. The room was absolutely gourgeous. I was lucky to receive an upgrade of the room on arrival. I highly recommend staying here, it is close to the metro and has a lovely little street with loads of restaurants just behind the hotel within 10 mins walking distance. I did not try the hotel restaurant or spa, so cannot comment on them. The one thing is that when I accidently got of the wrong floor where the restaurant is. I was walking around a bit lost and looking and none of the staff asked if they could help me. The hotel has a tea room, where they make super tasty coffee as well. I recommend the pistachio latte, very, very tasty!

The hotel is great, and the service is excellent. I'd like to express my sincere appreciation to the Guest Relations team. Rebecca was calm and efficient, handling issues very reliably. Grace was attentive and considerate, treating guests with warmth and sincerity. Candy was lively and enthusiastic, and Clinton was proactive in his service. All four of them performed their duties well and worked together seamlessly. They weren't overly intrusive, yet they made us feel at ease everywhere. This high-quality service made our trip truly perfect.
