Excellent hotel for a layover in Johannesburg. I really liked everything about it. This Marriott hotel has an aviation theme, and you can feel the exceptional attention to detail. For those who appreciate quality interiors, there's plenty to admire. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise; there was a good selection of food, including fruits and pastries. There's also a coffee machine. We used the shuttle bus twice, and it was perfectly on schedule. It's easy to find the boarding point at the airport (just follow the 'Bus' signs). Yes, the room for two people is quite small, but we're talking about a one-night stopover, so it wasn't an issue. Also, the pool area with sun loungers doesn't feel private at all – there's a busy road right beyond the lawn. But, in any case, everything is clean and well-maintained. I recommend it!

A great hotel for one night, 5-10 minutes from the airport. + The main advantages are the free shuttles to and from the airport every hour. +The inclusion of breakfast. + The hotel grounds are lovely, with plenty of seating in the courtyard. + There's also a restaurant where you can order lunch or dinner. + The room is basic, with tea and coffee available. Cons: – We didn't get our breakfast, even though we arrived at the appointed time. We waited 25 minutes for breakfast to be brought out for guests in other rooms who were traveling to the airport later than us. Ultimately, we were given packed lunches. – We had a family room. Tthere's no door between the rooms, and the bathroom door is a folding door, which lets in all the noise and makes a lot of noise. – The bed was sagging on one side. – While taking a shower, the hot water went out for a couple of minutes, but then it came back on.

Positives: Hotel is close to the Airport, within walking distance. Rooms are fairly clean, good for a layover stay Negatives: We checked-in around 2am due to a late flight and was encountered by one of the rudest receptionist in all our travels. Examples include: - No greetings when we arrive - Throughout the check-in process, barely said a word (with exception of last point) - Unable to find our booking because she used the wrong check-in date, but did not apologise - When she passed us 2 keys, we assumed the check-in process were completed for 2 rooms and moved towards the room. In her words, she said “Friend, where do you think you guys are going? We are not done yet”

This hotel is near airport and good for overnight stay to catch flights.You could get the shuttle at the bus station near the airport. The frequency is hourly. This hotel is near East Rand Mall. The counter staff told us that it is unsafe to walk across the street and advised us to take either Uber or hotel's van. If you are traveling in a group of 4 or more people, it is cheaper to get the hotel's van (80 rand one way) instead of Uber

Everything of Southern Sun or Tampo Int’l Airport hotel was good except that the room windows didn’t seemed to be able to close tightly. We could feel the draft which made our rooms cold. The heaters couldn’t work either.

The hotel is excellent, with a designer interior. There is a guarded parking lot for the car. The hotel has a spa, a pond and a swimming pool and much more. You can use the infrastructure. If you take a room with breakfast and dinner, then be careful, dinner for the room is 800 ZAR, breakfast for the room is 450 ZAR. If you take more than this cost, then you will have to pay extra! Wi-Fi works well, no problems. The only thing we missed in the room was slippers.

Excellent location. In and around the hotel, there are a lot of delicious restaurants. The highway is easily accessible. The bedroom was nice and tidy. Would return to stay there.

My husband arrived early at the hotel (7am) , tired and exhausted after a long flight and staff were not helpful with getting him into the room atleast a little earlier than the check-in time or offered any other available room , he was told to wait until 2pm to check into his room . Also , he asked for a halal meal when calling room service and they just told him they don’t have anything , instead of offering an alternative . I really hope that in future , the service of this hotel would be more helpful .

The Hotel is located in Sandton, just a few meters from Nelson Mandela Square. The service is great, and the facilities are well-maintained. I did really enjoy the buffet, but the overall experience was amazing.

It was great to stay! Very comfortable, clean and spacious than I expected. Especially, the breakfast was amazing. Had many options to take than I thought. Hot and cold foods and different kinds of cheese, breads, jams and even smoked salmon sashimi! Also, they have upgraded my room into king bed room. The room was clean and big enough. Amenities were soap, body lotion and 3 in 1 bodywash(+shampoo and conditioner). If you want to stay quiet room, I would recommend the 1st floor. The parking in the basement made me feel more safe. Definitely I'll recommend to others and will come back!
