Danxia is absolutely stunning! I'd seen it beforehand and only found the hotel after dark, without any prior travel information. I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is new, and the staff were incredibly welcoming. They even gave me a breakfast sample, saying they'd hired a chef from the Hyatt Regency Lanzhou. The Hyatt itself doesn't really matter to me; you can't go wrong with bread and coffee. The most important thing was the beef noodles and fermented glutinous rice wine! They were both delicious, and the chef even made me a special chive noodle dish, which I loved! The breakfast was especially amazing, with local cantaloupe 🍈. I couldn't resist devouring two large plates! Cantaloupe 🍈 is truly delicious! The flesh is so soft and tender you can chew it without even using your teeth! It was so delicious that it brought tears to my eyes! The much-vaunted Shizuoka honeydew melon pales in comparison! The room had a humidifier! Southern-friendly! The decor was cozy. While the mattress wasn't particularly good, the atmosphere and sense of security were incredibly satisfying. It was the only night in several days I slept so soundly! This hotel clearly places great emphasis on quality and service, and the staff are dedicated to improving the guest experience. The stay experience is really no worse than JW hotels. You can feel their attentiveness. They even gave every guest a mooncake for breakfast 🥮... This has become my favorite hotel on my trip to Hexi! I hope it's not just because it's newly opened, but I hope the hotel can maintain this level. I'll definitely choose this hotel when I visit Zhangye in the future!

When I booked the hotel, I was a bit worried seeing that the pick-up service was only from 8 AM to midnight. I specifically called to confirm that they could still pick me up even if my train arrived in Dunhuang around 7 AM. The hotel's location is excellent, very close to Shazhou Night Market, Dunhuang Bookstore, Dunhuang Print Bureau, and Mingsha Mountain. I'm very grateful to the kind lady at the front desk for upgrading my room and allowing me to check in early. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Oh, and the two cats at the front desk are absolutely adorable!

The room is antique, just next to the Moroshi Temple. The small hot pot next to the skewers is particularly convenient, and it is really charming to take a quiet return to the village. Should you say or not, some suggestions, purely personal suggestions: 1. In such an antique yard, there should be a few lounge chairs. Imagine how comfortable it is to lie down in the yard and drink tea in summer; 2. The socket in the room is indeed a bit small, just two bedsides and bathrooms have a total of 3 5-hole plugs (and the side of the bedside is still occupied by the stereo), now it is mobile phones, cameras, charging treasures, drones...especially inconvenient; 3. The lenses in the projector are a bit dirty and the picture is a bit blurry.

The hotel is well located in city center and provides complimentary pick up/drop off service from train station. There is a direct bus which goes to mogao caves right in front the hotel- making self transport a breeze. Room is spacious and nicely designed with a large bath tub. Apart from the hotel hardware, what really stood out was the extra mile services offered by the staff. There are 2 staff who really shine. Firstly, Ms tong tong （彤彤）was very patient in explaining all the touristy sites around and how to get there. She helped us book performance tickets so we could enjoy some discounts. When we enquired about transfer to liu yuan, she not only checked for all the information online for us but also personally went to the bus station to find a driver who goes to liuyuan. We're so impressed with her extra mile service!! Really kudos to her great personality and service. Next staff to mention is Mr li (李师傅）who picked us up at the train station. He suggested some dining places to us and offered to drop us off at mogao caves when we bumped into him at the hotel lobby. Overall, highly recommend to stay at this hotel.

Can the mattress of Hilton Garden Inn be improved? The edge of the bed is always exposed, and the edge of the bed is a bit sharp. The child bumped into it once because of this reason. Hahahaha, I have never seen noodles served in such a big plate. The uncle is also very nice. He also made a small bowl of non-spicy noodles for the child for free. I think the people in the northwest are so warm and simple!

Wow, what a nice hotel! Absolutely loved our stay with a beautiful view looking over the Muslim area of the town. Great Muslim restaurants in the area (one of our top meals throughout our entire Gansu/Sichuan/Yunnan trip) and everyone is so very kind. Free taxi service to bus station was a nice touch.

It was evident that international guests' needs are genuinely considered here, without sacrificing local authenticity. What truly distinguishes this hotel, however, is its staff. The friendliness and attentiveness with which one is received and cared for goes far beyond the usual service level. This is the kind of hospitality that doesn't feel forced, but springs from genuine warmth. For anyone visiting Dunhuang – whether following in the footsteps of the Silk Road or exploring the breathtaking Mogao Grottoes – I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel. It not only provides an excellent base for exploration, but becomes itself a positive part of the travel experience.
