Extremely satisfied! Both breakfast and the room were fantastic š. Having a hot spring bath and sauna was a real treat, especially after a game of tennis š¾ ā it was perfect for unwinding āØļø. I'd definitely consider staying here again. This time I played mahjong for four hours; next time I'll bring my golf clubs, as the course looked really impressive.

The best part about this hotel was definitely the breakfast ā they had everything from Japanese to Western options. I especially loved the soba noodles and the fried eggs. The coffee was good too, and they offered various egg rolls. The room itself was quite spacious; we had no trouble fitting our two large suitcases. However, the bathroom was a bit small, feeling somewhat disproportionate to the rest of the room. The other hotel facilities were pretty basic; there wasn't much to attract us beyond just needing a place to sleep for the night. Because of this, paying over 3100+ per night (including breakfast) felt a bit expensive.

The room is large for a Japanese apartment. The surrounding area is quite desolate with no commercial facilities. However, the hotel can rent bicycles which is quite convenient.

Itās the photos taken by mobile phones inside and outside the store. The small hotel run by the old couple is not far from the Yudanaka tram terminal. In the town of hot springs, itās good to have a 24-hour hot spring bathhouse. The owner is very good. Gentle was able to personally drive us to the foot of the mountain in the Wild Monkey Park to see the monkeys washing in the hot springs. It is a lot more convenient for us. Shared toilets are the place I am least used to, but overall I am satisfied.

This time, I used it to see the Shirakaba Lake Fireworks Festival in August. I decided to make a reservation in July, but the price was a little high. The service is bad to say clearly. It is attached to the restaurant, but there is no basic person at the front desk and it is necessary to go to the restaurant. When you go to the restaurant, you cannot use the employee-only passage connected to the hotel, and you need to go out once and then enter the restaurant. There was black mold in the bathroom in the room. The light switch in the room is a little difficult to understand. However, the location is not bad. This time it was a corner room on the lake side, but I could see the fireworks well.
The restaurant meal was delicious. The meal with breakfast plan was quite volume.

Located just within 3min from Yudanaka station, Raki Onsenryokan is run by a Chinese family. As a quiet town on its own, no one was tending to the reception when I arrived, after ringing the bell, a lady came down to help with the check in - very straightforward. I believe the family stays in the same building as they said if we ever needed anything, we could just ring the bell at the reception. Obviously I had booked a room too big for a solo traveller as this was the only room left as ānon-smokingā. Toilet and sink are at two different parts of the room which was a little inconvenient. Ryokan offers free drive (15min) TO snow monkey park, but not return, so please cater at least 35min to walk from park exit to the bus stop. Ryokan also provided a hearty breakfast, overall for the price paid it was a decent stay!

Just wanna share my experience of staying in this beautiful hotel.
1- The location and the views from the hotel are just amazing! Especially during sunsets!
2- The personal and stuff of the hotel are super super friendly, if I could I would give 10 stars for the hospitality.
3- Onsens and the view are something out from this world
4- What I was really amazed is the kitchen and the chef that is cooking. If you stay in this hotel I highly recommend take the breakfast and dinners. You will have a high class food with a presentation and explanation of each dish by the servant. Best experience
5- Last but not the least I forgot my speaker in the hotel. The stuff brought it back the same day to me to another hotel I moved after NISHIHOPPO.
So guys, less words more actions! 10 stars to this amazing hotel and itās owner. My respect.

OO.K. MACSince it was cheaper than other ryokans in the area, I didnāt expect much.
But to my surprise, it offered full serviceājust like the more expensive ryokans Iāve stayed at before!
They even provided a pickup service from the train station, which I forgot to book. Luckily, a Western couple sitting next to me on the train had reserved it. When I saw the āHotel Houseiā sign on the van outside the station, I hopped in!
The hotel is a bit far from the station and involves walking up and down hills, so carrying luggage all the way would have been quite tough. I was really fortunate to catch that ride!
Cherry blossoms were in full bloom along the river, just a few steps from the hotelāsuch a beautiful sight.
The room wasnāt large, but it had enough space and was very comfortable.
The elderly gentleman at the front desk seemed to speak multiple languagesāhe even knew some Thai! He was incredibly friendly and welcoming.
The onsen was wonderful. The indoor bath was a bit too hot for me, but the outdoor bath was cooler and more relaxing.
Breakfast was a buffet, which was decent.
In conclusion, this place was absolutely worth it.
Next time, if I go skiing in Shiga Kogen or bring someone to see the snow monkeys, Iāll definitely remember to book the pick-up and drop-off service in advance!

From the peaceful atmosphere surrounded by beautiful nature to the warm hospitality of the owner, everything felt so special and heartfelt. My husband and I were deeply touched by the kindness and care we received throughout our stay.
The homemade meals were absolutely delicious, every dish was prepared with so much love and attention, making us feel completely at home.
Thank you for creating such a beautiful place filled with warmth, comfort, and unforgettable memories.
We already miss Poetical and hope to come back again in winter to see this lovely place covered in snow āļø
