This hotel was clean and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We had lunch at The River Bar which was reasonably priced and the food was good, / We did not have breakfast so cannot comment on that.
The room was clean, slightly dated but had everything you needed. The Spa was clean, would recommend to bring sliders/crocs as the floor in the swimming pool area was very slippy, although the hotel does provide a robe and slippers. One of the saunas was out of action but they had other ones available to use. In terms of location it is slightly out of the way, which was nice as it was quiet. We got a taxi and used the tram to get to the city centre which was fairly simple.
Overall very good value to stay here and very good that the spa facilities is included at no extra fee.
I would recommend!
Many Thanks :)
We really appreciated our stay at Corinthia. We got an early check in and the front desk associate upgraded our room to a deluxe. The room is spacious and the bed felt like a cloud. We stayed at the hotel for a special occasion and the hotel sent a bottle of sparkling wine and cake up to our room which made it even more special. The hotel is very well located near tram, metro and bus. Plenty of restaurants around. It was a very good experience and we’ll for sure stay at the same hotel if we ever come back to budapest.
The hotel is well located to walk around and there are great places to eat nearby. It’s a 15 minute walk to the Christmas markets and river.
The hotel is very nice in the entrance with a dramatically beautiful lobby, but the rooms are small, dark and in my case not very clean.
Before I keep with the negative aspects, I’d like to make a special remark to Mr. Janos who was the most helpful person and so willing to help and gave us the best recommendations, including best running route!!!
I arrived at 7am and was able to change and go for a run before my room was ready as early as 11am!! Thank you for that!!!!
Back to the negative:
My room didn’t have a bath (my friend’s on the same floor did 🥲) and the furniture was old and kind of sad.
The worst was the shower. It was so tiny and badly designed that it was impossible to use the shampoo without getting it all washed away.
Breakfast was very good, specially if you are an early bird like me and can enjoy the 7am opening service with fresh bread, amazing eggs and the cauliflower which was my ultimate favorite!!
All in all, pleasant stay, made much better by Janos!!!!!
I really enjoyed this hotel. I chose the room with a little kitchenette, but a daily buffet breakfast was also available. There’s also an Aldi’s ( supermarket) next door, which was a nice surprise. The garden was lovely, each staff person I encountered was the was kind and welcoming. I was able to use the laundry room for free. There was an indoor pool that looked nice, but I didn’t use it. The neighbourhood was quiet and there were convenience stores, restaurants and coffee shops a short walk away. It’s also just five minute walk to a subway/tram/or bus stations. I highly recommend this hotel and hope I’ll have a chance to go back and stay there again.
I have stayed at Danubius chain in Budapest before, Helia which is a spa hotel. This is more of a business location being beside the Puskas Arena and the M2 subway line and the 1 Tram line which gives multiple transit options if not using a hire vehicle or taxi. Breakfast was very decent, service attentive and professional. The room was clean with a few minor issues ie bathtub not draining quickly, furniture showing age (I understand so not an issue) and the facilities very good for my purpose - large gym with all required equipment, smaller pool but still permitted laps and a sauna all of which I used each day. As my last day had me leaving before breakfast, I was provided with a takeaway bag. All much appreciated. Front desk very helpful and kind. I enjoyed my stay very much.
The hotel generally felt quite dated. We stayed on the 6th floor, and the showerhead couldn't be fixed to the wall, which made showering very inconvenient. After the first night of our two-night stay, we spoke with the staff, and thankfully, they moved us to a different room. The breakfast area has two sections. If guest numbers are low, only section B is open, which results in a rather limited and mediocre breakfast spread. Section A was a bit more acceptable. While walking to tourist attractions was quite a distance, bus access was convenient.
A perfect hotel for a weekend stay in Budapest, or even during your vacation.
There are three beautiful pools and saunas, including a steam room.
Perfect breakfast with a wide selection.
The hotel is more like a vacation home. The restaurant is open only for breakfast. It's closed after breakfast. The bar is closed. There's no cafe. The rooms are very cramped. The bathrooms are extremely tight, barely big enough for one person. The larger ones in the photos are few and far between. Breakfast is good. Unfortunately, chlorinated pools are available in the hotel next door, which is connected by an underground tunnel. The restaurant and cafe are already open in the hotel next door, but everything resembles a spa from the 1980s. The location on the island is very nice. Peaceful, with lots of greenery, old trees, and birdsong. The center is almost a 2-kilometer walk away, but there's a bus stop near the hotel.
For the price I paid, I expected better. The facilities felt standard and the island itself offered nothing special for me. The facial was just okay, though I did have good experiences with the massage and mud wrap services. Breakfast looked fantastic, but unfortunately the taste didn’t live up to the presentation.
During my trip, I stayed at four different hotels across Budapest. This was the most expensive, yet it’s the one I would rate the lowest.
It is a smaller hotel, so you may have to wait a long time for the only receptionist to handle a phone call or other matter, and so ... like me ... you will just stand at the reception for over ten minutes.
The rooms are standard and there is nothing to complain about. The beds are soft, which I personally do not like, but that is a matter of personal preference.
Breakfast is probably standard for the country.
Very Good

Amazing
YYu ChengLocation is not exactly in the heart of the city, but it is not far away. Very clean and I personally love the facility and design of the hotel, the cherry on top is the heart warming service, overall definitely worth the price if you want a comfy and classy place to stay it's the one, but if you want a room with river view, maybe go with Intercontinental or marriot but their appearance does not look to nice

AAnonymous UserThe hotel staff were incredibly friendly and professional, from the moment we arrived at the hotel entrance, through check-in, and all the way to check-out and luggage handling. Every service was polite and attentive. The hotel breakfast was quite rich, with à la carte options, and the fruit was delicious. The room size was quite large for European standards, and housekeeping was prompt and thorough. The only minor drawback was that the shower facilities in the room were a bit old-fashioned and the drainage wasn't great.
GGuest UserEverything was great. The bathroom was separate and the room was beautiful with a beautiful view. The staff were friendly and cheerful, and the service was excellent. The food was good and of high quality. The restaurant staff were very friendly and cheerful. If I come here myself, I will definitely come back. I was very impressed. The service was excellent and the location was very convenient. I really liked this place. I would recommend it. You won't be disappointed. ❤️
GGuest UserExcellent hotel, the staff in general, both receptionists, waiters and maids are very friendly and helpful, the room is very comfortable, the bed is very comfortable.
The location is very good, very central with all the facilities within walking distance.
The breakfast is small but excellent, very complete with a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and typical Hungarian food options.
The pool is great, heated and with long hours (open until 10:00 p.m.). After a long day it's wonderful to be able to take a bath.
100% recommendable
