Iririki Island Resort & Spa

Fantastic Family Stay – Even Better Than We Remembered! We spent 5 wonderful nights at Iririki Island Resort and absolutely loved our time there. Although we went into town for lunch and dinner a few times, we mostly stayed on the island and soaked in the beautiful surroundings. The kayaking and snorkeling were a highlight, especially thanks to Etella and Teraa—these two went above and beyond to look after our family and made the experience memorable. The ocean view villa was spacious, airy, and perfect for watching the fish swim right by our deck. The breakfast buffet was excellent and included halal chicken options, which we really appreciated. The staff catered to our dietary needs and made sure alcohol was left out, which meant we could enjoy every meal without worry. Only downside: they didn’t accept Amex and charged a 3% surcharge on Visa/MasterCard, which, combined with international bank fees, added up. Although we had a discount from Trip.com, we couldn’t really take advantage of it due to these charges. Next time, we’ll prepay online instead of using the “pay at hotel” option. This was our second visit to Port Vila after 13 years, and both the city and Iririki were just as magical as we remembered. A special shoutout to Taste of India in town—absolutely fantastic food! Highly recommended for families, couples, and anyone looking to unwind in paradise.

I was initially very satisfied with this hotel, but my entire experience was completely ruined on the morning of March 29 at 10:00 AM. A staff member knocked on my door in an extremely aggressive and urgent manner. Even after I clearly told them to wait, they continued banging loudly on the door without any respect for my privacy. When I finally opened the door, expecting something urgent or important, I was shocked to find out that they were simply asking whether I needed housekeeping. This behavior is absolutely unacceptable. There was no emergency, no prior request, and no justification for such intrusive and disrespectful conduct. This was not only unprofessional, but also extremely disturbing. I do not need or appreciate this kind of forced “morning call.” It shows a serious lack of basic training and respect for guests. Because of this incident, I immediately decided to check out and leave the hotel. I strongly do NOT recommend this property.

Warick Le Legon Resort and Spa is amazing, I was lucky enough to have a villa over the water.. and it didnt disappoint. The Staf are awesome, and the facilities are very good. This is a fantastic place for everyone to stay, especially families as there is many pools of varying depths to choose from. The buffet breakfast was one of the best hotel buffets I have sene anywhere, so much to choose from and everything was hot.. rather than luke warm like many others. Thank you to everyone at Warwick Le Lagon Resort for everything. And thank you for the lovely treat I found on my bed when I came home from dinenr last night. Such a lovely surprise.

We stayed at Tamanu for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The room was cozy and beautifully maintained, offering a perfect space to relax. The staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. Fiona and Anthony did a fantastic job managing the resort — their attention to detail and warm hospitality really stood out. A special thank you to Anthony, who went above and beyond by personally returning our wallet after we accidentally left it behind in the room. We are truly grateful for such kindness and care. Highly recommend Tamanu for anyone looking for a memorable and stress-free getaway!

I got upgraded to a suite, which was absolutely fantastic. Being on a private island gave it a real 'island survival' vibe. They even had a buffet and show in the evening, making it a truly unique experience. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit. It was amazing, simply amazing!

The shower floor would be more than necessary, now water is spraying a lot to the wide area. Morning really small, cheaper places richer and more diversified. The pool area is a little too shadowed if you want to be in the sun. The beach was from the bottom of a sad feeling slope - doesn't want to go to swim. For snorkeling you need to go farther if you want to see something. The room we got was wonderful - our own terrace and garden directly to the sea. In other rooms only a balcony, not at all so nice. The room is spacious and cool. Beds good and cottage options. AC worked well. Kitchen equipment ok. The kajaks and the bathrooms are a nice addition. Location a little away, but if you also like walking, this is working. The staff was careful and friendly, communication in advance worked well. A shower curtain would be more than necessary, now water splashes over a much wider area. Breakfast really poor, cheaper places have more and more variety. Extra charge is immediately wanted for additional options. Pool area a bit too shady if you want to be in the sun. The beach was a bit muddy at the bottom - you don't feel like going swimming. You have to go further for snorkeling if you want to see something. The room we got was lovely - private terrace and yard directly on the sea. Other rooms only have a balcony, not that nice at all. Room spacious and clean. Beds good and pillow options. AC worked well. Kitchen equipment ok. Kayaks and paddleboards a nice addition. Location a bit remote, but if you also like walking then this is functional. The staff was caring and friendly, communication in advance worked well.

This isn't exclusive to this hotel, but the road leading up to it is full of potholes, and just driving back and forth to the city center in a rental car was exhausting. The hotel's main building is incredibly grand, and that's what attracted me to book it. I was given a room on the first floor, and the view was just so-so. The humidity was awful; even with the air conditioning on, the sheets felt clammy. I thought the price was quite high.

Friendly and helpful staff. The furniture is old and needs to be updated. Hot water is unstable, it was often necessary to rinse with cold water. A broken clock hung on the wall, which was very annoying. At night, small lizards run along the walls inside the bedroom and the ceiling, which made sounds, which is also not pleasant to hear at night. The pillows are long and hard. Dirt accumulated in the washing machine in the tank, which did not wash, but, on the contrary, stained the washed clothes.

Every time I visit Vanuatu, I make sure to stop by the Grand Hotel. It's been renovated since the earthquake, and now it's even more modern! The staff are all so friendly, and their smoothies and fresh coconuts are delicious.
