Donghu Hotel, often called the 'guest house of Wuhan,' is a true emblem of the city, nestled on the shores of Donghu Lake. It's a delightful blend of nature and history. The sprawling 2800-acre grounds boast lush greenery and centuries-old trees. A 5-kilometer wooden boardwalk along the lake connects seasonal attractions like the Plum Blossom Garden and Lotus Pond. From my window, I had serene views of Donghu Lake, with Moshan and Luojia Mountains in the distance—truly peaceful and refreshing. This hotel is also famous as the place where Chairman Mao stayed 48 times, earning it the nickname 'Hubei's Zhongnanhai.'
The room rate in early March was very reasonable. The gardens were vibrant with blooming flowers and lush willows, offering beautiful lake and mountain scenery, perfect for daily strolls. The hotel's electric carts were always available to take guests to Hotel Gate 2, which conveniently leads directly to the southeast gate of the Hubei Provincial Museum.
Guests can visit Chairman Mao's former residence within the hotel grounds for free, but reservations are required at the front desk, with tours at 9 AM and 3 PM only. The guides were very knowledgeable and engaging.
The dining was another pleasant surprise. Breakfast offered a rich spread of both Chinese and Western dishes, and I especially enjoyed the local Wuhan specialties like Doupi, Mianwow, and Hot Dry Noodles—they tasted even better than outside. I also had lunch at the restaurant and tried the famous Steamed Wuchang Fish, which was incredibly fresh and tender, living up to its reputation.
Overall, the hotel's service was meticulous and attentive, and the room was spacious and comfortable. Donghu Hotel definitely left a wonderful impression on my trip to Wuhan.

Absolutely loved the hotel lobby – it's so spacious and grand. The view from my room window was breathtaking, with a misty, expansive landscape that was incredibly refreshing. Breakfast and the welcome fruit were also fantastic. It's super convenient for dining and shopping too. For two consecutive evenings, I strolled across the road from K Avenue walking street to SKP for dinner, then leisurely walked back to the hotel to enjoy a cup of tea. So relaxing! 😌

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! Jianghan Guan is right at the doorstep, and turning right takes you straight to Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street. It's also just a few minutes' walk to the Yangtze River Glory Pier. The hotel's decor has a lovely vintage feel to it. The hot dry noodles for breakfast were delicious too. There's a big set of stairs at the entrance, and the doorman was very proactive in helping with my luggage.
Checked into Jing Shan Tian Mu Hot Spring Hotel, and the experience was absolutely fantastic! The hotel boasts a wide variety of hot spring pools, and the public areas are elegantly designed. The private hot spring rooms are also perfect for a small gathering. Besides soaking in the springs, there are plenty of leisure activities nearby, making for a truly relaxing stay. The service team was incredibly responsive, always ready to assist with any requests, and the front desk staff even kindly recommended local eateries. The hotel's environment is serene, surrounded by lush greenery. We had such a pleasant and relaxing day here, and I'm already looking forward to our next visit!

The Christmas atmosphere was absolutely spot-on! Right as you walk in, you're greeted by exquisitely arranged floral displays. The whole environment feels upscale and chic, perfect for photos.
The food was both visually stunning and delicious. That flower-shaped dessert was incredibly intricate, and the prawn pot was so flavorful I wanted to lick the shell clean! The cocktails were beautiful and tasted great too.
The rooftop terrace offers amazing river and night views – so relaxing to chat up there with the breeze. The service was also very attentive. I'm already planning a second visit with friends!

The hotel is very clean, and the room is spacious with laundry facilities. The microwave and fridge are also perfect. Downstairs, there's a bus stop with direct routes to Yellow Crane Tower and Hankou Railway Station, and the metro station goes straight to Jianghan Road. It's perfectly located for getting around.

This is by far the most satisfying hotel I've stayed at in Wuhan, having visited three times. The day before check-in, I unexpectedly added an extra person, and the hotel's reservations department kindly upgraded our room type for free. When I left, I was in a rush and accidentally left a piece of luggage behind. I only realized it after arriving home. Jason Wu Jianjun from the concierge proactively called us and immediately helped us send the luggage back via SF Express. The front desk staff, the cleaning aunties, and the buffet service personnel were all incredibly warm and attentive. My stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I'll definitely bring my parents back when the cherry blossoms bloom in spring, and we'll be staying at the Hilton Wuhan Optics Valley again.

I have to say that the soup house must be experienced. It has its own small pool, and you can soak it yourself at night and when you wake up early. The public hot spring pool is also very good, and the environment is also good. There are few people at the time we go, and the experience is very good. The service The reception is also very warm and attentive, and I will call in advance. Thanks to the waiter, Aunt Tan Chunming, and the lady at the front desk, the brother who answered the phone, and the brother who put the hot spring water. It made us happy and have a comfortable and relaxing day

For an international five-star brand, the price is truly competitive. They proactively offered children's toiletries when they saw us with kids, and every staff member greeted us warmly. At checkout, they even reminded us that the mini-bar drinks were complimentary and offered a tote bag, which is a rare sight. Considering the overall service, facilities, and dining quality, it offers excellent value for money. Karina provided excellent service, and I've already recommended it to friends. I'll definitely be staying here again!

What a positive experience! From check-in with friendly and helpful Zhou Zhou and her colleagues to the room support and also the free self-serve laundry!! Excellent twin room with a spectacular view of the Yangtze - benefiting from a corner room - amazing. Loved the quality of the room contents - free snacks, good tea, nice bathrobes and quality linens. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Also high tech - I think if we knew mandarin we could have used all the room gadgets ! Nice TV - all Chinese. Lovely Chinese breakfast with wonderful views of the river. Good delicious food. Overall a 5 star experience! We will be back if we pass thru Yichang again. The location is fantastic - across from exquisite gardens and river-side walkways. Close to the Wanda mall. Highly recommended!!!

MM286244****This was my second stay here after three years, and I was looking forward to reliving my past experience. The location and facilities were great, but it seemed like the hotel was quite busy. Around 8 PM, I asked the concierge for a disposable bathtub liner for my room. After a walk, I returned to find it hadn't been delivered. I called the front desk, and after waiting another half an hour with no action, I called again before they finally sent it over. This felt a bit out of sync with what I'd expect from a luxury hotel!

GGuest UserThis was our first time bringing the whole family to Wuhan, and we booked a three-bedroom suite. It was perfect! The kids had plenty of space to play, and the elders could rest undisturbed. The bedding was comfortable, and the room was very clean. Having a separate kitchen and a washer/dryer combo was a lifesaver when traveling with kids. Plus, there were two bathrooms! The hotel staff was incredibly prompt in attending to all our needs, which saved me so much time. 👍 The hotel's amenities were also very convenient. Just downstairs is CapitaLand Plaza, making shopping and dining incredibly easy. The night view was also beautiful. Everyone in my family loved the beef noodles at breakfast – they were delicious and flavorful. We'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Wuhan! 🥰

GGuest UserThis hotel is truly thoughtful and heartwarming. Before checking in, the front desk had me add their 'Lele butler' on WeChat. Anything I needed, Lele would respond and resolve immediately. For the New Year, they even prepared snacks and a little horse charm. They organized our itinerary and sent it to us, making our dining, drinking, and sightseeing much easier. Security guard #10 was also very helpful, directing me to parking and assisting with luggage. I booked this room through a platform recommendation, and I'll definitely be recommending Kailai Hotel to my friends next time!

GGuest UserThis time I booked a deluxe room, which is relatively quiet, the bed is very comfortable, the bathing facilities are okay, and the room has a small refrigerator. If the company organizes a mid-year meeting, this one is a good choice. You can also soak in the hot spring at night. The hotel has a restaurant You can order food, breakfast is included in the room, Lily and Xiao Wang at the front desk provide very kind service, check-in and check-out are fast and efficient, very satisfied, will recommend to my friends
BBenbenxionghaiThe hotel service is very thoughtful, the room window can directly see Mochou Lake, the scenery is unobstructed. The surrounding environment is good and the air is fresh, and you can walk to Mochou Village for ten minutes. Breakfast is also very good.
ZZhoutongxuedemeimeixiaozhoutongxueI highly recommend this hotel! The environment is impeccable, with high floors offering expansive views. You can wake up to a stunning sunrise every morning just by opening the curtains. The greenery downstairs is also beautifully maintained, perfect for a relaxing stroll. The facilities are comprehensive and practical; the gym equipment is brand new, and the laundry room even has dryers, which is a lifesaver for business travelers. I have complete peace of mind regarding cleanliness; the room is tidied up meticulously every day, with not even a water stain at the bottom of the cups. The service is incredibly thoughtful. Once, I forgot my charger, and the front desk immediately brought one up and asked if I needed any other assistance – it was so heartwarming. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yichang!
