I stayed in a ”city view” room during my solo trip through the Basque region and it was such a comfortable room I forgot about not having sea view. Though I do recommend to go to the cafe to have the beachside experience if you get the city view room because it overlooks a construction site on the back street. The hotel was an easy 15min walk with my heavy suitcase from the intercity bus center, just beside the beach. The room was squeaky clean with a large bathtub, and the bed so comfortable I could not get up to go see the sunset! Also helpful kind staff and great location for getting around the city on foot or by bus. I went to the Chillida Leku museum it was 30min by bus no25. Highly recommend!

The overall stay was quite good. The hotel is in a good location. The beach is right outside the hotel. The room is not very big, but it has everything it should have. The balcony is quite good. I thought the balcony was directly facing the beach at first, but it was only a small part, but it was good enough. The first picture was taken on the balcony. I was quite satisfied with the price. There is a hiking route where you can see the entire sea view, which is particularly beautiful. The view of the sea and sky is so charming. It takes about 20 minutes to drive to the city. It is also a very good place. Overall, it is highly recommended. Because it was a self-driving tour, it was already past 12 am when I arrived. The people in the bar in the hotel helped me find someone to arrange a room, so those who check in after midnight must call the hotel in advance to confirm the room number.

The hotel is right next to the city center of the small town and can be reached in five minutes on foot. Opposite is the sea, you can surf, it is suitable for people who like surfing. Hotel design is also more modern and concise

However, while the room did have a Sea View, the size was downgraded to just 21m². I told them that paying €25 to have a smaller room was a downgrade, but they insisted that the view had been upgraded. I asked to be moved back to the room we originally booked, but the staff ignored my request for an entire day. Let me ask you this: if you went to see a new landscape, and the view changed, how would you describe it? You wouldn’t say the landscape itself was ”upgraded,” would you? You’d say the view was different or better. The following day, I finally got a response from the staff. They told me I’d need to pay an additional €70 per day if I wanted a 32m² Sea View room. While the hotel facilities and scenery are excellent, the staff are focused entirely on business and seem to aim to squeeze every extra euro from their guests.
