Good sized rooms (we had a double and a twin) with all the usual amenities. Very short walk to Kanazawa castle, shopping and more.
The best part of the hotel stay, as mentioned by many others, was the hotel’s provision of free snacks and drinks (happy hours included bubbles and wine!!) throughout the day.
Would have cost the hotel not very much at all, but was a great perk and appreciated by all guests.
Very simple exterior completely different inside. Firstly entering your will fell aroma parfume. Easy self registration and you already trying traditional wear inside your room. Onsen experience available almost full day, recommend after cold weather.
Location: Famous Omicho market nearby. Winter time is a snow crab season.
Hakuchoro is a classic in Kanzawa, the decor is very tastefully done and the overall atmosphere has character. It’s onsen is natural spring water and though the bath are relatively modest, it never gets crowded. They provide free bus shuttles to and from the Kanazawa station and is a very helpful feature. Rooms are large and well appointed and everything in the fridge - water, tea, orange juice and beers are free and topped up everyday. The stained glass in the lobby area and in the rooms are nice touched included the very nice pottery ware used for breakfast! Breakfast buffet spread is both western and Japanese and they even now have sparkling wine and sake for breakfast!
Definitely has character!
Stay here for 3 night. Room with breakfast. No variation for their breakfast. Every day is with the same dishes. Also the staff at the reception are not helpful despite asking if there are e available parking lot that can be made available since there are guest checking out. But they insist for us to drive the car from the affiliate parking lot to the hotel to book the space first despite that we told them we are heading out. There is no point for us to just drive the car here and eventually we are still going to drive out isn’t it. They could have just took our car particulars and secure the lot. Very unhelpful young staff till a nicer Japanese older lady willing to assist us.
Look no further, Mori no Sumika Resort and Spa is absolutely wonderful! The staff are amazing, the rooms are spacious and well appointed, the property to include the hot springs baths is excellent - the food offerings for breakfast and dinner changes each day, the chef serving the freshest seafood, meats, vegetables. It’s a beautiful place that you’ll never want to leave and for sure come back to sooner than later.

The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from the Drum Gate. The twin rooms are quite spacious, but there seem to be only two per floor, so they can be difficult to book. The hot spring is a bit small, with about seven shower stalls, and the water has a slight disinfectant smell. On the first floor, there's a wide variety of disposable products available, including shower caps, face masks, foot patches, lotions, shampoo, and conditioner. Drinks are also available for self-service from 5-8 pm daily. The service is excellent, and the hotel offers great value for money.
An excellent hotel rather near the Kanazawa Train Station. There are also some good Japanese restaurants opposite the hotel.
The room is spacious, contemporary with Japanese flavour. The facilities and amenities are comprehensive like body lotion, shampoo, comb, Onsen towel scrub, and tooth brush. The Onsen is rather small but sufficient as the turnover rate is pretty high since there is not much spaceto loiter or space out.
The Japanese breakfast is sumptuous and pretty good variety.
If you are early for your check-in, the hotel will gladly safekeeping for you until you return for the check-in at 3pm.
Excellent place to stay that has an onsen at its highest floor. It has both an indoor and outdoor onsen. Their room was standard fare for most Japanese hotels. It’s the little things that add to the charm like free pudding dessert and bottled water. They also have free popsicles and probiotic drinks to enjoy after an onsen session. A big plus especially for families is the numerous washers and dryers in their laundry room.
In the evening, they also have free ramen for supper.
Overall, great value and experience makes it a great choice.
Hygiene: The hotel room is very clean and well-equipped with air purifiers! But in fact, the environment near the hotel is very close to nature, and the air here is much fresher than in the city.
Location: The only drawback of this hotel may be its location. Since this hotel is located halfway up the mountain, it can only be reached by car, shuttle bus or taxi. I took a taxi from Kaga Onsen Station. The journey took about 12 minutes and the fare was about 3,200 yen. I think the price is reasonable because the attitude of taxi drivers here is much better than in Hong Kong. If you don’t think it is expensive, you can give it a try. In addition, the hotel also has a shuttle bus that can be reserved. You can inform the hotel staff in advance.
Service: I like the attitude of the hotel waiters very much. Unfortunately, an earthquake occurred when I went there (an earthquake and tsunami occurred in Ishikawa Prefecture, Hokuriku on January 1, 2024😢). The employees in the store were very patient and attentive in asking customers about their situation and taking care of them. safety. Since there are many Japanese locals there, I am almost the only foreigner in the whole hotel, but the staff will try their best to translate for me. I am very grateful to them. 🫶🏼
Facilities: There are various activity rooms, but I have not seen them in detail. Most of them require reservation.
I hope this helps everyone who wants to go to Kaga Onsen. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

GGuest UserIt was located just across the roadfrom the Kanazwa JR station that also housed a mall, airport transfers and loads of good food. The place was larger than I expected but provided excellent service and daily breakfasts (noy buffet-style) in their second floor restaurant. A sign of how good service was - it was a little drizzly when we left but we said no to the offer of an umbrella as the station was less than 5 min away (and it was a very light drizzle). The lady accompanied us to the station just so she cd take the umbrellas back from us! The onsen was nice but I didn't hv time to try out any other facilities.

BBaluoqinuotasuoHotel Roo Ying should be an old chain hotel with a high-end facade. The location is also good. It is only five minutes walk along the railway from the station hall. The room is average. There is a public bath area but I didn't have time to use it, which is a bit regrettable. The breakfast is rich enough, but it is a bit regrettable that there is no fruit. This price, location, and specifications are very cost-effective. This is my fourth time in Kanazawa. It is a place where I can stay for a few more days to avoid the crowds.
宋宋Super favorite hotel. Traditional Japanese-style room, spacious and bright, with thoughtful design. Through the balcony, you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of the mountain village and listen to the sound of trickling streams. The outdoor hot spring has 5 mixed bathing pools and 2 for women. The hot spring water is flowing and very clean. Soaking in the soup pond surrounded by immortality, below is the clear mountain spring flowing by, it is really enjoyable! Although the hotel breakfast is not luxurious, it is nutritious and delicious, and the dinner is also very good. It is a good place to relax and retreat.
