Fantastic hotel with spacious rooms and very friendly staff. We chose Nikko Kanazawa because of its proximity to the train station. Hotel Nikko is actually Kanazawa’s tallest building, designed by a Japanese-French team. Rooms located on 21st-25th floors have beautiful views. Nikko is connected to the Higashi ( eastern) side of the station by the underground passageway through the Porter building. Our room at the 21st floor was large, clean and modern with a fantastic view over the city towards the Sea of Japan. It was very relaxing at the end of the day to sit in arm chairs and watch the sunset. Service was excellent. We found a good restaurant on the sixth floor of the Forus shopping center adjacent to the train station (on the right if you look at the eastern entrance to the station through the giant Torii gate). The name is Morimorizushi Kanazawa Ekimae-ten (sushi), you can't miss it - there will be people on the benches waiting outside. The line goes fast, just don't forget to take your ticket at the entrance. This hi-tech kaiten (conveyor belt) sushi joint is a fantastic place for excellent sushi at reasonable price. It is only 4-5 min. from Hotel Nikko and on rainy day you can reach it by the underground passage. We liked Hotel Nikko and would stay here again.

I used it with my family for sightseeing in Kanazawa. It is close to Kanazawa Station and has a parking lot. The interior is beautiful in a new hotel. The unit bath is also very large. However, dust was conspicuous around the air conditioner and in the nanoe blowout. I want you to clean this area a little more. The air conditioner was a little bad, probably because the filter was also clogged. The staff 々 is very kind and comfortable. There was a deck where you could see the Shinkansen and conventional lines, and the children were happy. Breakfast is delicious, but the child who sleeps with the child does not have breakfast, so it is okay to pay, so I think it would have been nice if there was a little rice for children. I still want to use it.

I went there aiming at it, but the entrance was not opened and I couldn't enter it. After all, I went to the hotel from another entrance. I don't think it was exclusive for the entrance in the early morning and night, but is it a mistake to describe? The room was small but good without problems. Above all, there was no complaint with the location and amount. I want to use it again when I visit Kanazawa.

My best hotel stay in Japan at the price point. The location is within a 10 mins walk from the station. Part of the way is sheltered if you walk through the nearest mall basement. The hotel is new and modern. There are a lot of attention to detail that makes the room comfortable. For eg, the mirrors are heated so they don't fog out in the showers. The bed room has an additional door to enclose the area if you want a quieter sleep. The bath is also clean and modern.

I used it with my daughter a few years ago... It was very good This time I used it with a friend. I am very satisfied with the large public bath and convenient location. Triple rooms also don't have extra beds. It was good. thank you very much.

A great experience, Japanese minimalist style, the hot spring bathing area is small, 4-5 people at most, and free drinks are provided after bathing. It’s not too far from JR station and you’ll pass by a big mont-bell° You can make fragrant wood bags by yourself in the hotel. The toothbrush is made of wood and uses toothpaste paper, which is very special. The hotel is right opposite the market. You can go opposite to eat some seafood and local delicacies in the morning.

The Room is very clean, has complete amenities and very spacious compared to other hotels we hav stayed. It’s a 5-10 minute walk from JR kanazawa station, and it is supper affordable rate for a last minute booking since we were 20 min. Late for the last shinkansen train going to tokyo. It provides all basic kits and has a public bath house which i enjoyed dipping in a hot pool.

My stay at Dormy Inn Kanazawa was almost the end of the vacation started from Nagano, Hakuba, Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, Kurobe Gorge. Believe me that staying at this hotel is money worth spent. Dormy Inn usually are near train station but away from noisy traffic, with nice indoor and outdoor Onsen at rooftop together with FREE Soba for supper (9.30-11pm). However, at Kanazawa only (maybe) they provide complimentary Happy Hour from 7-9pm with free flow of red & white wine, beer and party nut and cracker mix. So you probably want to stay until 9.30pm to continue with Free Soba Supper. Sounds good right? Rooms are very clean, staff are friendly. One thing I like about Dormy Inn is they have ice cube for free at the machine. So you can get cheap and nice sake or beer from stores nearby to fix your own drink. Another plus point is free usage of laundry machine and detergent. You only pay for the dryer. I highly recommend Dormy Inn to everyone visiting Japan.

A well located ryokan (5 minutes walk from the town centre) that has multiple indoor and outdoor public hot springs as well as private hot springs you can book for an extra fee. While the building is modern, being a ryokan. the room I stayed in was furnished in a traditional Japanese style with tatami, fusama, shoji and even a tokonoma (though I suspect all rooms are like this). The facilities and extras Hatori offers (bar, bookable cafe, karaoke room, free taiko performance and free ice cream nightly) were really nice touches. What made my stay most enjoyable however were the delicious dinners (make sure to book your meals in you stay plan you wont regret it!) and staff. While only a little English was spoken all the staff did their utmost to make you feel welcome and provide for your needs. This kind of 'omotenashi' is increasingly rare and I wish I could have stayed there more than 3 nights. I will definitely be back.

The room is spacious, the service is great, the food is great, and the hot springs are great. There is a shuttle bus at the jr station, which is very convenient. Due to the cancellation of the flight to Komatsu, I changed to Nagoya, and I rushed to Kaga Hot Spring Station all the way. I just caught up with the last shuttle bus. I arrived at the hotel smoothly. I soaked in the hot spring and had a beautiful banquet.

I used it for company benefits. The entrance is Instagrammable as soon as you enter, the building and greenery are beautiful, and there is a hammock in the garden that can be seen from the lobby, making it a perfect spot for commemorative photos. Another customer also said, ”I went out last night and contacted them, but no one exterminated them for the same reason.” Cicadas and canabens are floating in the open-air bath, and it seems that the bath has not been cleaned at all. I understand that there are many insects in the forest, but shouldn't it be maintained regularly? Once I felt uncomfortable, I questioned the cleanliness of everything, and after that I couldn't enjoy it. Is there a repeat...

Stayed in Rurikoh for 3 nights. I have to say this hotel is quite popular with tour groups and most of them stay here on their way to see Central Japan. The hotel is a bit dated but still clean. All things are large here to accommodate the big crowds - ie Conference rooms, lounges, hotel lobby and restaurants and even the Public Onsen is large. We stayed here to experience the onsens and were not disappointed. There is one indoor + outdoor Public bath, and one private bath. We didn’t try the private one as its chargeable, so we went to the public one only. By staying in Rurikoh, we can even go to the sister hotel, Hatori, to experience their onsen baths there. There are 2 public baths there and many private ones. When we compare the 2 onsen baths, we find that Hatori’s is newer but smaller. Rurikoh’s has its charms and I am sure it used to be the best in the 80’s. Rurikoh has the larger bath and when crowded, you don’t see much of other bathers. As for the room, it is rather dated. We booked the twin room, western style Type A and it was large for Japan Standards. We didn’t take the meals options as there are plenty of Izakayas and restaurants if you drive around. Most restaurants charge less for food and if you dont mind driving around instead of eating in the hotel, you can save quite a fair bit. As for amenities, the hotel is very generous with things like onsen towels, use of Yukatas, water moisturisers, plentiful of toothbrushes and combs. As for the service, staff here are very courteous and they speak English well. One good point with the service is that they will park your car for you and bring it to the front every morning without you even asking. Overall, for the price that we paid and the service and amenities that we got, i would give this a 4star.

When I was looking for a hot spring resort that was easy to get to from Kanazawa Station, I found out that I could get there by direct bus at a reasonable price, and visited Yamanaka Onsen. The hot water was good and the inn here was comfortable, so I will visit again. Please note that if you use the bus, it is a little far from the bus stop. However, if you stroll around town slowly, you will arrive in less than 10 minutes. This inn has a homey atmosphere with the employees working hard. For those who want to raise the grade, Kissho Yamanaka may be better. By the way, the hot springs are hot and the open-air bath is just right even in winter. The women's bath has an open-air bath and an open-air bath. The open-air bath is a little deep, so it may be dangerous for small children to enter. There are two private baths. Change in 45 minutes. It was 7500 yen with two meals, which was very cheap compared to other Oedo Onsen.
