Five stars all around! Big shout-out to the friendly front desk staff. I was torn between JEN Hotel and Wembley, but ultimately chose Wembley because I saw reviews mentioning early check-in, which was a huge draw for me. It's also Chinese-friendly, and the front desk staff can communicate in Chinese. Even though rooms were very tight during Chinese New Year, the hotel still allowed me to check in quite a bit earlier. This gave me a precious three-hour nap, helping me avoid the hottest part of the day and making my first day of sightseeing rich and energetic. Wembley and JEN are just across the street from each other, but Wembley is on higher floors, offering a more expansive view. It's only about 700-800 meters to both Mural Street and the Clan Jetties. There are also plenty of shopping and food courts nearby. The hotel itself is well-maintained, and soundproofing is decent. My only minor complaint: For two adults and one child, we requested an extra comforter, but they brought a blanket instead. Using just a blanket requires quite some courage!

Overall, a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable and well maintained. The only minor issues were that the door was a bit difficult to push open and there was a small amount of dust in the corner of the room. The food was good, although the variety could be improved slightly. The gym and pool facilities were both very good and well kept. Aside from these small details, everything else was perfect. I would happily recommend this hotel.

The room was spacious and clean. The staff were attentive and prompt in attending to our needs. They served us more bottles of water in our room on request. We had a pleasant welcome with a drink and ice cream. The hotel is just beside the Gurney Plaza, which makes it convenient for shopping and dining. Highly recommended.

Hotel is great and well located. Nice room, had a jacuzzi (which we never used, our choice). Fantastic shower, always hot when needed). Breakfast was ok, though the sunny side up ”rubber” eggs and overdone sausages were disappointing. Overall, nice hotel. One big downside was the internet. Slow, often wouldn't connect and when it did, would then drop out....often. Finally issue solved towards the end of stay by switching to another wifi source but this really shouldn't happen in a hotel of this calibre.

My overall stay was decent, but there's definitely room for improvement. The hotel's hygiene needs a revamp, especially the swimming pool – I could feel a lot of dust in the water when I got in, which really dampened the experience. The towels provided also seemed a bit old. The furniture in the room was showing its age as well, and the overall feel wasn't ideal. As for breakfast, during peak hours, they were slow to replenish the food, often leaving empty dishes, so service efficiency could be better. However, there were some nice touches that left a good impression. The warm cookies offered at check-in were a definite plus and tasted great.

Overall, it was satisfying. The staff were polite and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. If possible, I'd suggest upgrading the TV channels; there were too few options. For guests like us who stay a bit longer, it gets a bit boring because there aren't any good TV programs.

This hotel service is really makes me want to come back again. The way the staff greets while smiles during day and night and offers to help with the luggage up/downstairs without being asked is what I appreciate about staying on this hotel for 3D2N. Even the food is freshly made especially tosai and roti canai. My wife is a bit particular about the roti canai and getting her approval shows that the serving here is worth revisiting in future. Recommended for staying during your visit to Seberang Perai.

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the Clan Jetties and the Street Art, both within walking distance. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, smiling as they opened car doors and helped with our luggage, even bringing it all the way to our room. The hotel's interior cleanliness was also exceptional, spotlessly clean everywhere. Most importantly, I left my passport and a sum of money in the hotel's safe. I only realized it when I reached Ipoh, so I quickly called the hotel. The staff immediately took care of it, retrieved my belongings, and kept them at the front desk. When I returned, not a single penny was missing, not even a single piece of paper. I highly recommend this fantastic hotel to all my fellow countrymen.

The room was very satisfactory, and I loved the sea view window design; I slept very comfortably. However, the location is quite remote, the sea view is poor, and the beach and water are not good at all – you can't even look at them. The only good thing about the hotel is its excellent facilities, and the restaurant food is also delicious.

XXiaotuzijiadexiaopangmiaoI saw mixed reviews online and was quite worried before arriving, but after checking in, I found it wasn't as bad as some people said. First, the hotel's location isn't as prime as hotels like Parkroyal or Marina Bay Sands, but it's not far to walk to the beach. You just turn right, walk straight until you hit a FamilyMart, turn in there, and you'll find it. There's also a good shop run by two Pakistani guys in that row. The beach is just a short walk from there. Second, the hotel has nice views and is indeed great for photos, but it's true, as mentioned online, that the public areas aren't super clean, and the fabric sun loungers are quite poorly maintained – I couldn't bring myself to lie on them. To be fair, the room's cleanliness was decent. I was really scared about the bugs some reviewers mentioned, but there genuinely weren't any, even when we left the balcony door open at night – no flying insects, and no small ants, which was a relief. The chairs and sofa on the room balcony, however, weren't particularly clean and had some stains. In Southeast Asia, it's really hard to expect absolute newness and cleanliness, so bringing our own disposable toiletries made it acceptable for us. Upon check-in, they also offered two complimentary drinks, letting us relax in the restaurant while we waited for our room to be ready. The bellboy also helped with luggage, so the service level was quite good. The breakfast is average. This hotel is more suited for couples or friends looking for a quiet, photo-friendly place with a vacation vibe. If you're traveling with children, I'd recommend looking elsewhere.

GGuest UserIf you want to enjoy the beautiful beach, facilities and hospitality of a 5 star hotel you get the right choice of Hard Rock Hotel Penang. The hotel is far away from downtown where the attractions and fantastic street food are located. The room is comfortable and I got a free upgrade to a sea view room. My partner slept well but not me because the pillow of mine is lumpy, felt like it had clumps of filling. Overall I am satisfied with my stay in Hard Rock and had some good times.

AAnonymous User## Ambiance: The environment here is absolutely stunning, exceeding expectations. We booked the Rasa Wing, and although I'd read reviews worrying about dated rooms, that wasn't the case at all. The room materials and finishes felt very high-quality. However, since only a basic room was available, our window overlooked the parking lot and road, so we could hear traffic noise at night. If you bring earplugs, you won't hear it, so that's something to prepare for. ## Cleanliness: Cleanliness was excellent. Our room was serviced daily, and the hotel's public areas were also spotless. We even saw monkeys and lizards 🦎 – lucky us! 🍀 ## Facilities: The Rasa Wing has an exclusive adults-only pool, where many Caucasians were lounging and sunbathing. Sometimes it was hard to find a free sunbed. The large trees in the public areas are truly therapeutic, and every part of the hotel is beautiful. ## Service: Service was very friendly. As a Rasa Wing guest, you can choose between two restaurants for breakfast. Ferringhi Grill is à la carte, but I prefer buffets so I didn't go there. Each room also comes with executive privileges, including unlimited capsule coffee and tea bags, and the mini-bar is complimentary for the first fill. There's afternoon tea in the lobby lounge from 3 pm to 5 pm, followed by a complimentary cocktail hour from 5 pm to 7 pm. Before 8 pm, coffee, tea, and soft drinks are free-flowing, always accompanied by light snacks, desserts, cheese, salami, and fruit. If you have a smaller appetite, you could easily spend the whole day at the hotel and not even need dinner. Overall, it was a truly wonderful and incredibly restorative experience. We stayed for four nights and had a very enjoyable holiday.
