I have upgrade my room to 1bedroom suite. My family and I love the room. My kids enjoy the bathtub. Hotel location is good too as it is near to the airport. It only cost me about RM14 by taking grab from hotel to airport. Will definitely book again..
Hotel was clean and service was very good. Room was large and comfortable . Swimming pool on eleven floor is a plus on hot days. Good view of the town and the sea from our room.
Strategic location in the heart of Georgetown. Close to Komtar, First Avenue Mall and Pragin Mall. Short walk to Cecil Market and Chowrasta Market with many eateries nearby selling Penang local delicacies.
I booked a sea view room. I had been reading reviews for a long time and was worried about a bad view, but luckily I got a room on the 9th floor with a really great view. You could lie on the balcony all day.
The service was very good. Although most staff couldn't speak Chinese, they were all very enthusiastic.
Cleanliness is good don’t get me wrong but my experience wasn’t that great due to the fact that there were many Charlie Ants in the dresser, toilet, shower, and balcony area.
Kudos to the hotel staff team tho for their prompt pest control services upon contacting them.
Room is clean and air condition is good. Location very strategic, convenient marts nearby, walking distance to Sunway Carnival Mall, a lot of restaurants nearby, pubs nearby. Highly recommended for business travellers and family.
Hotel in a strategy location, a lot of food stalls around near hotel. staff are friendly, room is very clean except this time found a food string on the floor. air conditioner is not very
cool but fan is provided. TV channel is not clear. other than that, all other things are ok.
This stay far exceeded my expectations – it perfectly embodies the feeling of ”home away from home”! The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient transportation, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff are warm and attentive, especially the young man who speaks Chinese. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I highly recommend it!
Right from the moment we arrived, we were greeted by very enthusiastic bellboys and front desk staff, which made us feel right at home. 👍🏼 The adorable welcome ice cream was a particularly nice touch. We chose this hotel mainly to shop at the nearby Gurney Plaza, but it turned out not to be great for shopping. The locals basically warned us to avoid the food court outside, and since we didn't want to eat mall food, we even took a taxi back to George Town for dinner that day. So, I don't think the location is ideal, especially since the hotel is no longer beachfront after the land reclamation, and the view is much worse than before. Points deducted for a few things: the bathroom faucet was very stiff and hard to turn, the tissues weren't refilled beforehand, and the corners of the vanity weren't cleaned properly.
You can tell this hotel is trying hard to brand itself as a luxury or upscale establishment, but it falls short on many details. From the design of the key cards, the meticulousness of room cleaning, and the breakfast quality, to the preparation of bath salts after turn-down service, the direction of the showerhead, and the inconsistency of bathroom amenity brands – all these aspects are far from luxury standards. Most notably, the staff training seems consciously biased towards Caucasian guests, which I won't comment further on. I believe if Raffles were truly managing this hotel, the standards would significantly improve. Beyond that, the hotel boasts an excellent location and offers a great sense of history. As for why so many celebrities visit this hotel, it's mainly because Penang genuinely lacks any other truly impressive hotels.

LLLMMYYThis is my second stay here and even though it’s more expensive to book during the peak season, I didn’t mind because I really enjoy staying here. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming, always greeted with a simple “hello” with a smile, which is rare at most hotels now.
The sea view is magnificent as always, whether you admire it from your room or at the beach.
I also really enjoyed their hotel breakfast buffet, and their Nasi Lema at the Jendela restaurant.

LLEE SHEAU PEIPARKROYAL has always been my first choice whenever I travel to Batu Ferringhi, Penang with my family since 2011. Their thoughtfulness truly stands out — from providing a baby cot, to preparing a birthday cake, and even offering a simple takeaway container so I could pack some snacks for my 20-month-old baby girl after breakfast. These small gestures made our stay extra comfortable and memorable.

SSyazzyanaWe came on weekend and quite late already and its still quite crowded. But they can still deliver our room without the needs of us waiting some more. They do provide welcome drink at the lobby which is quite nice and refreshing. However, I do expect some simple deco for anniversary as any other 5star resort would have and I have requested it earlier in the booking remarks, but did not get it, quite disappointed. Other than that, all is good, the facilities is good, hot air balloon experience is nice.
XXthephineI’ve stayed at Lone Pine a few times and always enjoyed the experience, but this trip was a bit disappointing. The room arrangement wasn’t smooth — my first room had a constant clicking sound, so I had to change rooms. Even though I booked earlier, the replacement room still didn’t feel like a good arrangement.
Breakfast also fell short of expectations. The variety was very limited, and both coffee machines ran out of coffee beans before 9am, so they couldn’t be used. At the egg station, I requested two hard-boiled eggs, but instead of preparing them, I was told to take the ones from the nasi lemak section. Overall, the breakfast service really needs improvement.
I also went for the Elite Hour for drinks and snacks, but the snack selection was honestly quite awful and extremely limited. It didn’t match the standard I expected from Lone Pine.
I hope the hotel can look into these details, as Lone Pine is a lovely place and I truly hope to see the experience return to the quality I used to enjoy.

MM537939****The rooms were very clean, and the service was excellent. It was a bit noisy with all the children, but it would be perfect if you're traveling with kids. The pool is large, and there are many activities. Plus, there's a park nearby with lots of fun things to do.
CCordyVery good services provided by every staff in the hotel. Break fast is good with many choice and seafood buffet at Friday/Saturday night is good too but bit slow in restock the seafood. Room is spacious but view not very good as booked the sea view but the view is blocked by trees. Asked to change a room and reception also happy to assist and bring us to check the room before change
