Reviews: Luxor Hot Air Balloon Ride Over Ancient Temples & Monuments
Guest User2026-11-01
We stayed at a hotel on the west side of the Nile River in Luxor and were picked up by a taxi at 4:30 pm. After traveling by taxi, we crossed the river by boat, disembarked, and then traveled by taxi again. When we arrived at what seemed like a meeting place, we were guided, but we weren't sure how much we could move around, so we waited near the staff in charge, and they guided us when it was time to board. We had to fill out our weight forms. The launch site is a hot air balloon launch site, which is shown on Google Maps, and that's where we started. The timing of the launch and the direction the balloons fly vary, so some people go towards the sea, while others go towards the Nile River; it's random. Our balloon landed very close to the launch site, but some balloons landed in fields far away. We weren't sure how we got back from there, but I think someone came to pick us up. When it was over, we could choose to return to the hotel or continue sightseeing. We took a taxi to the Valley of the Kings. There were many things we didn't know before it started, but the staff were very kind, and I think it's worth going to Luxor just to see this scenery. It's best if you can speak English.

More magnificent than the pyramids, and with a large number of people.
