Our tour guide, Charlie, did an excellent job sharing his knowledge of Kaohsiung’s local culture, history, people, and attractions. He is professional, well-organized, and attentive to everyone on the tour. He also knows the best spots for taking great photos. The bus was clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing break between attractions.I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who only has one or two days in Kaohsiung but wants to visit most of the major attractions and gain a deeper understanding of the city

Reviews: 1-day tour to Alishan National Forest Recreation Area including admission ticket (departing from Taichung/Chiayi/Kaohsiung)

We met promptly at 7:45 AM at Zuoying Station of the Kaohsiung High Speed Rail. The journey to Alishan took approximately 3.5 hours. Our guide, Stella, drove for 1.5 hours, with a 15-minute rest stop along the way for everyone to use the restroom. The overall itinerary was well-planned, and the English explanations were excellent. She not only helped me remember the unique attractions and delicious food of Alishan, but also recommended several excellent snack shops for lunch! The wild aiyu jelly, the century-old shop's unique sausage, and the rice sausage were especially delicious! Most importantly, the group came from all over the world, making it a unique experience. Five stars for our guide, Stella! 👍

Our tour guide, **Mr. Tommy**, was exceptionally well-spoken, cheerful, and very approachable throughout the entire trip. His positive energy and friendly personality made our travel experience enjoyable and memorable. The journey was filled with laughter, fun moments, and great conversations, which made every part of the tour more engaging. He provided excellent recommendations on what to do, where to go, and even what to avoid, helping us make the most of our time and ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience. His knowledge, professionalism, and genuine concern for the group’s comfort were evident from start to finish. We truly appreciated his guidance and dedication, which greatly contributed to the success of our trip. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we highly recommend Mr. Tommy to anyone looking for an informative, entertaining, and enjoyable tour.

Reviews: Kaohsiung Tianliao Moon World + Meinong Hakka Folk Village + Qishan Old Street + The Pier2 Art Center day tour
Guest User2026-06-02
The nine-seater Volkswagen SUV accommodated five passengers, a guide, and a driver, making it a comfortable and highly mobile small group. The driver and guide provided excellent service, offering detailed explanations of the sights and even taking us to sample local cuisine. Unfortunately, one Hong Kong lady was constantly talking on her phone on the bus, her Cantonese booming throughout, making me nostalgic for Japan and Korea, where nobody talks on the phone on the subway! Is this truly a cultural difference? Or just her personal level of incompetence? I booked an English-speaking tour precisely to avoid encountering boisterous mainland Chinese or Hong Kong people, but I still ended up with this experience. I recommend setting some ground rules before boarding!
