Validity period
- This ticket is valid for redemption within 90 days after purchase.
- After redemption, the validity period is 6 consecutive calendar days from the date of ticket usage.
Applicable regions
- The east Japan and south Hokkaido rail pass allows unlimited rides within the valid areas shown on the map.
- GALA Yuzawa station opening hours are from winter to spring.

- Reserved seats in ordinary cars on JR East Japan & Tobu Railway direct limited express trains: Nikko, Kinugawa, and SPACIA Kinugawa
- Ordinary trains (including rapid trains) on Tobu Railway between Shimotsuke-Imaichi and Tobu-Nikko/Kinugawa Onsen can also be used.
- The "Kurihashi - Shimotsuke-Imaichi" section is only available for limited express trains connecting with Tobu Railway.
Note:
- The JR east Japan and south Hokkaido rail pass cannot be used on the Tokaido Shinkansen (due to different operating companies).
- GALA Yuzawa station opening hours are from winter to spring.
- Unable to take the Donan Firefly Railway.
- BRT is the abbreviation for bus rapid transit.
- The JR East-South Hokkaido Rail Pass is only valid for limited express trains operating from JR lines to Tobu Railway lines. It cannot be used for limited express trains that have Tobu Railway stations as their starting or terminal stations. (When boarding limited express trains at Tochigi Station, Shimo-Imaichi Station, Shin-Kanuma Station, Tobu-Nikko Station, Tobu World Square Station, or Kinugawa Onsen Station, the starting or terminal station must be a JR station.)
Booking eligibility
The JR pass is only available to travelers visiting Japan for sightseeing purposes. To purchase, you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Non-Japanese passport holders with a "temporary visitor" visa.
- Short-term stay visas: Tourist visa, business visa, 3-year multiple-entry tourist visa, etc.
- When entering Japan, please use the staffed automated gates or request airport staff to stamp "temporary visitor" on your passport or attach a "temporary visitor" sticker to redeem the JR pass.
- The same passenger is not allowed to purchase or redeem multiple identical tickets for the same period.
- Long-term visas cannot be purchased (student visa, work visa, etc.)
Traveler group description
- Adult: 12 years of age or above
- Child: 6–11 years of age
- An adult or child with a rail pass can bring 2 children (aged 1–55) for free.
- A child's rail pass must be purchased from the third child onward.
- Free for children under 1 year old
- A child rail pass is required in the following cases: a child traveling alone with a reserved seat (ordinary car designated seat), or a child traveling alone.
Redemption method
- Bring the reservation holder's passport and the received physical redemption voucher
- Please go to the designated station's service counter to redeem physical tickets and reserved seat tickets.

Transportation method

Reservation method (assigned seating)
- To reserve a designated seat, you must first redeem a physical ticket (you cannot directly reserve a designated seat using a physical redemption voucher).
- Reserved seat tickets can be booked at JR ticket machines (green ticket machines) or at the station's green ticket counters.
- Unlimited frequency, with manual reservations required at the green ticket window from the 7th booking onward.
For orders booked before 15:00 from Monday to Friday (working day), SF Express shipping will be arranged on the same day. Orders booked after 15:00 will be shipped the next day. No shipping on Saturdays, Sundays, and other legal holidays, and will be postponed to the next working day.

Eligible passenger conditions changed
Starting from April 1, 2025 (local time) with the issuance of MCO, we will no longer check the "temporary visitor" status during exchange. Please note that you still need to present a passport issued by a government or other authority outside Japan.

)Cancellation and change policy
- A 10% cancellation fee will be deducted for unredeemed tickets if cancellation is requested within 12 months after ticket issuance.
- For tickets redeemed in Japan that are within their validity period but unused, refunds can only be processed at designated JR station counters in Japan. Please inquire with station staff for specific counter locations and refund results, which will be subject to on-site processing.
- To cancel, provide complete ticket photos and photos after tearing. The platform will process based on verification results after receiving them.
- Once redeemed and used, it cannot be canceled.
- Lost redemption vouchers will not be reissued. Please keep them properly.
