Ctrip's travel products are generally trustworthy. Our tour guide, Xiao Zhu, was very enthusiastic. After our day trip to Gulangyu Island, at our request, he took us to Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street and the Eighth Market, and even kindly reminded us where to eat and where to try local snacks. Most importantly, I must commend him; my parents are both over 70 years old, and after the tour ended, Xiao Zhu proactively refunded their entrance fees to the island. Although it wasn't a large sum, his gesture was truly admirable!

The tour guide was very patient and willing to handle any problems that arose. Even when a few people suddenly asked to buy breakfast at the very beginning of the tour, the guide kindly helped them make phone calls to order. Leading a tour is like leading a group of toddlers; it was exhausting. Thank you! However, there were some discrepancies between the shop's description and the actual product page, causing an unpleasant experience. Merchants are urged to ensure that their listings are honest.

Gulangyu is a must visit when going to Xiamen. Brown, our guide, was fantastic with a lot of knowledge of Xiamen and China. One downside of the tour is that due to the holiday we could not start at the originally scheduled time because ferry tickets were sold out. We were able to complete the majority or the tour given the shorter duration. My advice is to spend more time on the island getting lost in the old town, looking at the incredible architecture as the buildings and history is impressive and interesting.
