As the name suggests, it's an activity where you stand on a board and paddle forward. SUP originated in Hawaii, combining Surfing with traditional paddleboard concepts. The equipment used includes a large Surfing-like board and a paddle taller than your height.

Today, the village is home to Thao, Atayal, and Han Chinese communities, featuring handicraft shops, restaurants, and hotels.
