Outside the carved wooden windows of the Hundred Lamps Hall, silhouettes of oil-saving lamps from the Southern Song Dynasty to glass-shaded lamps of the Republican era can be seen. The Hundred Baskets Hall displays bamboo-woven utensils in its open central room, while the courtyard of the Hundred Trades Hall features bronze statues of tinsmiths, blacksmiths, and dyers, preserving the craftsmanship of thirty-six traditional trades.
Jinpu Mansion
The brick-carved gate tower of this Qing Dynasty scholar's residence features the intricate "Nine Lions Playing with a Ball" motif, with its moss-covered Sumeru pedestal showing signs of age. Stepping into the front hall, visitors encounter a wisteria tree planted by Chen Chunnian, now grown into a magnificent canopy that drapes tassel-like flower clusters in spring. Fengxi Park
Passing through the "Fengjing" archway leads to this aquatic oasis. The zigzag bridge connects to the pavilion at the lake's center, where seniors play the erhu, their melodies rippling across the water. At dusk, under the century-old camphor trees on the western shore, artists often set up easels to capture the golden-red hues of the covered bridge at sunset.
