Beautiful island, if you don’t snorkel though there not much to do. Glass bottom boat is good. Food sold on the island is basic. Not all menu”s are written in other languages with pictures. Overall relaxing day.★

Very convenient for elderly people or young kids that can't snorkel or head into the waters to view the Great Barrier Reef. Bring basic swim gears at least even if you're not going for a swim. Worth going for a walk in the waters or a light dip. If you're not keen on buffet on a boat or the restaurant choices, bring your own lunch, or just your own snack to enjoy on the island. Go for a walk on the other end of the island. Different trails to suit different stamina. If elderly or young kids is going, it may be much comfortable to book the return boat /cruise to and from Green Island, the lunch buffet /the lunch package with Emerald Restaurant / food voucher with 1 of the eateries, book the glass bottom boat ride in lieu of the snorkeling, and the semi submarine too.★

A great half-day tour! Everything was on schedule! We had a flight that day, so it was important to get back to port on time. Everything went smoothly and without any delays! The island itself is small, so two hours was enough for snorkeling and a hiking tour!★

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Great Barrier Reef. Started the day being picked up at Airlie Beach. Our route took us to Hamilton Island for a second pickup before we were whisked away to the pontoon at Hardy Reef. Along the way we got some great views of the Whitsunday Islands and were even lucky to see some Whales. On the reef I took a whizz around the reef in the glass bottom boat (free) before doing my main activity which was a guided snorkel of the reef wall (about 89 AUD). The guide (Sunny) was very knowledgeable and informative about the reef and it was a great experience. I didn't opt to try the free snorkel area so can't comment. As an overall review, the activities were fun, food provided was good, it was a real experience. Downsides were it is a lot of sailing time (circa 3 hours out to the reef, 4 hours play time and 3 hours back) and the underwater photos, whilst good, were a bit expensive. I paid 91 AUD for 5 photos. They do offer a Go Pro that you can hire for the day and take as many pictures as you like for 80 AUD, this may have been a better option. Also should say as a first time snorkeller felt safe and taken care of throughout
