Reviews: Cairns Reef Magic Great Barrier Reef 1-day tour with meals | helicopter/diving/snorkeling

The entire Great Barrier Reef trip was very fulfilling, and the crew's service was excellent. Remember to check in for the helicopter as soon as you board; we were among the first to check in. We took the helicopter once we reached the outer reef. The weather wasn't great on the way there, but it cleared up when we took the helicopter, and the colors of the Great Barrier Reef were truly beautiful. The food on board was also quite good (especially the fruit, which was very good; I felt a bit dizzy at the time, and the fruit made me feel much better). There was some free bread on the ship on the way there and back. Before leaving, all the crew members would stand in a row to say goodbye. You definitely have to take a helicopter trip! Unfortunately, I didn't go snorkeling, but my wife and child went into the water. They said they could see fish underwater, and I took picture 2 from the bottom glass of the ship. The helicopter registration staff on the ship spoke Chinese, and there were also other staff who spoke Chinese, which was great. If you want to try other submarine activities, you can check the ship's schedule and arrange your own time accordingly. Just go and queue up when it's time. Each activity is located in a different area on the ship. Also, please note that you should wear a light swimsuit. The rash guard on the boat is necessary if you're going during the summer holidays; it might be a little chilly without one, but it will be just right. There are plenty of rash guards available in different sizes. You don't need to bring your own fins, snorkel, or goggles; there are plenty. I only brought my own goggles and snorkel. If you're concerned about hygiene, you can bring your own snorkel. The lockers on the boat are small, so just grab something convenient to pack your things. Generally, no one uses them; everyone's busy enjoying themselves.

Reviews: Cairns Magic Reef Great Barrier Reef 1-day tour with snorkeling, lunch, glass-bottom boat, and semi-submarine
Guest User2026-10-29
A full-day trip to Magic Reef was the best thing that ever happened to us in Cairns. The boat takes us to a pontoon, and for five hours we enjoy everything we can, snorkeling, diving, a glass-bottom boat, and even a fish-feeding show. We had a delicious lunch with fruit and shrimp. We were touched by the friendliness of the crew; everyone was so nice and ready to help at any time.

Reviews: Cairns Quicksilver Great Barrier Reef cruise [Agincourt Reef/snorkeling boat lunch/optional activities]

This trip was absolutely perfect! The Silver Shuttle reached the most beautiful outer reef of the Great Barrier Reef, and I was immediately stunned by the gradient of blue and green coral reefs—it was breathtaking! The 10-minute helicopter ride was incredibly worthwhile and highly recommended! The semi-submarine tour is also highly recommended; the clear underwater world, with its many corals and fish, was truly awe-inspiring. The buffet included in the cruise ticket was delicious, and my friends who went snorkeling also said it was a lot of fun. Thanks to William from Moker Travel for his patient answers and help; we easily found the shuttle to the port at the designated waiting area. It was a perfect day, highly recommended!

Reviews: Cairns Great Barrier Reef Half-Day Snorkeling Tour | Exclusive Outer Reef Experience with Free GoPro Photos by Reef Adventures Cairns
Guest User2026-09-04
This tour wasn't chosen by many Chinese tourists. We booked a 40-minute small plane ride separately in the morning and this snorkeling trip separately in the afternoon. The one-way trip to the outer reef took one hour and 15 minutes, and the snorkeling trip lasted about one and a half hours. The crew was very patient and communicated entirely in English. They guided tourists who couldn't swim very well throughout the trip, so a relatively high level of English was required.

Reviews: Cairns Sunlover Great Barrier Reef cruise 1-day tour [optional double reef/buffet lunch/snorkeling]
Guest User2026-02-26
It was a great travel experience. The Great Barrier Reef is absolutely beautiful, and the whole trip was smooth and enjoyable. The buffet was delicious, and the helicopter ride was fantastic. The only downside is that seasickness is quite common when going out to sea, so it's best to bring seasickness medication.
