▲ The architectural design draws inspiration from the spiral shell structure, with a spiraling green roof rising gracefully from the park, creating a dynamic yet serene "green conch" effect. The building embodies a "people-oriented" design philosophy, blending "mountain-water garden" aesthetics with "natural ecology" design techniques. The central landscape area features over 160 plant species distributed in island-like clusters, resembling a "primeval forest," while five varying-sized "water pools" form a "mountain-water garden" that carries forward traditional architectural culture. The green roof technology provides excellent thermal insulation, saving approximately 240,000 kWh of electricity annually. The "Green Conch" incorporates energy-efficient building envelopes, advanced HVAC systems, comprehensive solar energy utilization, optimized airflow design for large public spaces, natural daylight guidance technology, and rainwater recycling systems.

▲ The centerpiece of the exhibition hall is a 24-meter-long, 3-ton baleen whale skeleton specimen composed of over 200 bones, currently the longest baleen whale specimen on display in China. This specimen originated from a stranded and deceased baleen whale discovered in March 2017 near the Dazhi River estuary in Shanghai. After 4 years of meticulous work by the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum team, the skeleton was successfully cleaned, degreased, and restored.

▲ Life – the great miracle in Earth's history, has experienced the ups and downs of conception, mutation, prosperity, and decline, repeating in an endless cycle. Both the once-prominent transients and existing biological "stars" will gather in the "River of Life" exhibition area.

▲ The night cruise offers a unique perspective with dazzling lights and the gentle river breeze. It contrasts the century-old historical buildings of Puxi (such as the Bund's international architecture) with Pudong's skyscrapers (like the Oriental Pearl Tower and Jin Mao Tower), creating a dreamy view where time and space intertwine. This experience allows visitors to deeply feel Shanghai's romance and vibrant energy.
