A day trip from within Chengdu's Third Ring Road to Shuangqiao Valley and Maobiliang in the Siguniang Mountains involves taking the Chengdu-Guanxian Expressway, then the Dujiangyan-Wenchuan Expressway, and finally the China Panda Avenue to the Maobiliang viewing platform. This is an excellent vantage point for panoramic views of Siguniang Mountain, with its four snow-capped peaks rising and falling, perfect for capturing both panoramic and close-up shots. Afterwards, proceed to Shuangqiao Valley Scenic Area, taking a sightseeing bus directly to the end point, the Redwood Forest, where tall, majestic redwoods contrast beautifully with the snow-capped mountains. Then, descend along the boardwalk, visiting attractions such as Potala Peak, Siguna Lake, and Longzhu Lake, experiencing the diverse scenery of snow-capped mountains, meadows, and forests. If your energy permits, you can try rafting at Nianyu Dam, enjoying the glacial meltwater and canyon scenery along the way. On the return trip, stop at the Maobiliang viewing platform to witness the golden sunrise on the snow-capped mountains, a truly picturesque scene. It is recommended to bring warm clothing, sunscreen, and oxygen cylinders. Light meals can be purchased within the scenic area, or you can bring your own snacks.
