Tour guide Fan Ying (Flying) gave us an excellent tour of Gulangyu Island and Nanputo Temple. She knows both very well. She’s friendly, energetic and very well organised. She also took us to a great restaurant for lunch, with delicious seafood and craft beer. We would highly recommend her and this tour.★

Our tour guide arrived promptly at 9:00 AM. It was during the May Day holiday rush, so to avoid the long queues at the Dongdu Wharf, we took a taxi from Xiamen Island to Songyu Wharf to board the ferry to Gulangyu Island.
The weather was hot and there were many tourists, but our guide, Xiao Zhu, was incredibly patient. She provided detailed explanations of the historical and cultural sites, and the itinerary was well-planned and efficient. We walked without rushing, and even had time for afternoon tea. Nice and friendly. On the return trip, she also arranged for us to get back to our hotel. Especially since we were tourists from Malaysia and unfamiliar with the routes, she stayed until we boarded our ride-hailing car before leaving. Truly excellent service! 👍👍👍👍👍
We are also grateful to this platform for making our trips back to our homeland so convenient and worry-free for overseas Chinese like us. It's fantastic! 👍👍👍👍👍 We will frequently travel to China independently and will arrange our trips through this platform.★

The car was a bit old, but the driver was very kind and made excellent arrangements. It was perfect for elderly people as it saved them from walking too much. Although the attractions weren't particularly special, that's just how Xiamen is!
