Reviews: Bari: Guided Walking Tour with a Special Treat
Guest User2026-10-06
Wonderful tour of Bari Vecchia with Barbara, an excellent tour guide! Her friendliness, experience, enthusiasm, and knowledge really shone. She took us to some fascinating historic places in Bari Vecchia and shared bits of its history and culture that we would have never discovered on our own. We explored vibrant piazzas, the Basilica of San Nicola, the Cathedral of San Sabino, and the Norman-Swabian Castle. We also walked through the famous Strada delle Orecchiette, where we watched local women sitting outside their homes, hand-making and selling fresh orecchiette (ear-shaped) pasta, a tradition that has been passed down through generations. Along the way, we enjoyed a special treat of delicious, traditional focaccia Barese from a well-known local bakery. Fantastic tour by Barbara!

My recent walking tour of Bari with Velo Service was absolutely unforgettable, and a large part of that was thanks to our wonderful guide, Barbara. As a local, Barbara was incredibly knowledgeable and provided us with fascinating insights about the area that only a true insider could offer. Her passion for Bari's history and culture was evident throughout the tour. One of the highlights was visiting Carmela's kitchen, where we had the unique opportunity to learn how to make orecchiette, the traditional pasta of the region. Carmela was a fantastic instructor, and we enjoyed every moment of the hands-on experience. Although we didn’t eat our own creations, we were treated to the delicious orecchiette that Carmela had prepared for us. It was an absolute delight! I highly recommend Velo Service to anyone visiting Bari. If you have the chance to tour with Barbara, you won't be disappointed. Her expertise and enthusiasm made the experience truly special.

Reviews: From Bari: Polignano, Alberobello & Locorotondo Day Trip by Coach
Guest User2026-09-20
One week before the tour I was contacted by the company, because there weren't enough people who booked. They offered me to transfer my booking to a different tour including Polignano/Monopoli/Alberobello (which was in that moment available on GetYourGiude for a slightly cheaper price). The alternative Tour was well organized. The employees of the company were giving informations and directing the people to the right bus, as there were several tours starting from the meeting point). On the bus our guide Sabrina provided some information about the different locations, recommended things to do or to see and answered all possible questions. The tour went exactly as planned. Overall it was a good day trip and a lot more comfortable than going to all places by train. If you are fine with spending around 2 hours at each place, I'd recommend booking this tour. If I visit the area again, I would surely take another trip with them.
