Reviews: One-day tour of Nanxun and Wuzhen Xizha (night tour) / Small group of up to 20 people / Upgradeable to private tour available

This day trip to Nanxun and Wuzhen was absolutely fantastic! The itinerary was perfectly planned, allowing us to experience the charm of the ancient towns during the day while also enjoying the stunning night view of Xizha. The timing was just right. The tour guide was also very reliable, providing detailed explanations without rushing us. We followed along the whole way without having to worry about the route or tickets. For those who want a hassle-free experience and simply want to immerse themselves in the beauty of a Jiangnan water town, this small group of 20 people is ideal. Highly recommended for those who hate planning! 😋👍✨

The night view of Wuzhen is truly beautiful, especially the evening boat ride admiring the lights on both banks – definitely worth experiencing! The local olive vegetable flatbread was a delightful surprise, absolutely delicious, don't miss it! There are also many unique cafes and boutiques within the scenic area, worth taking your time to explore; some cafes offer quite creative drinks. Regarding lunch, the tour didn't include meals, and the group meal looked rather ordinary, so the three of us opted to order and pay for our own food at the same restaurant, which turned out to be more to our liking. However, the itinerary needs improvement. The advertisement highlighted the boat tour as a selling point, but it wasn't clearly stated that an extra fee of 50 yuan per person was required, while local boat tickets only cost 30 yuan. The female tour guide repeatedly tried to persuade us to rent audio guide headphones on the bus, and the three of us reluctantly rented a 10-yuan pair to appease her, only to find we barely used them throughout the trip. After lunch, we were suddenly switched to another tour guide, with dozens of people, making it difficult to follow the guided tour; we had to explore on our own. While queuing for the boat, we even encountered local staff arranging for other tourists to cut in line, negatively impacting our experience. Commendably, after I raised the issue through the Trip.com platform, the relevant staff of the travel agency proactively contacted me and quickly processed and refunded the boat fare and headphone rental fee. This proactive follow-up and willingness to take responsibility deserves recognition! In summary: Wuzhen itself is well worth visiting; the scenery, food, and unique shops are all delightful surprises. However, there is still room for improvement in the transparency of tour pricing and the arrangement of guided tours.
