Our ship the Majestic Princess docked in Kotor on 4/28/25. We took a water shuttle to the mainland where we met our guide Bogdon for a walking tour of the old town. Bogdon explained that Kotor is a UNESCO World Heritage site. The old city was built between 12 and 14 centuries and is filled with medieval architecture and historic monuments and churches. He explained how the city walls extended over 4 kilometers which protected Kotor for centuries, which led up to the fortress of Saint Ivan. Kotor is known for its nightlife and has many restaurant and bars. Kotor is a beautiful town winding streets and towering hillside. We totally enjoyed our tour and learnt a lot from Bogdon. Kotor is also know for its cats, there are cats everywhere walking the streets and basking in the sunshine, it is said that cats brings good luck to the people of Kotor.

Jelena was a fantastic guide and really helped to make this tour great. I had no expectations from Kotor (never been to Montenegro before) but I thoroughly enjoyed the city walk and all the information given. Very informative and some great recommendations for after the tour finished

Reviews: Kotor: Shore Excursion for Cruise Passengers

Our tour was wonderful and our guide Eric went out out of his way to explain everything about Montenegro in addition to taking us to some wonderful spots. This is a beautiful part of the world, and while it was quite specialized in that we were in a car with just one other couple it was just a regular sedan car so it was rather cramped. That was our only issue with the tour. It is clear that our tour guide loved his country he even took us out the back route that gave us a magnificent view of the bay in Kotor.

Reviews: Explore Kotor: Old Town Walk & Bay Coast Bike Tour

Fantastic tour. A nice combination of first getting information while walking through the old town, followed by the bike tour with explanations and a drink in between. Our guide Vlad was very nice and knew a lot about the history of modern-day Kotor. He also shared some personal stories about his own history, which made our tour extra special. We had a very nice day. Thanks, Vlad!
