Reviews: UNESCO Mount Koya: Hidden Gems & Temple Tour (Small Group)

A special day during our Japan vacation. We were a group of 15 participants. The meeting point was communicated very clearly by the organizer the day before. On the bus, the guide regularly played information about the itinerary and the places we were visiting in all the languages of the participants. This was high-quality and well-thought-out. At each stop, everyone had the opportunity to explore the surroundings independently – no pressure from a group with flag-waving members leading the way. We really appreciated this! We wish the young company all the best for the future.

Reviews: 1-day tour from Osaka to world heritage Koyasan | Danjo Garan + Okunoin pilgrimage route

The best option for visiting Mount Koya is a small day tour. Public transportation to Mount Koya involves many transfers and takes a long time, so this small group tour was very comfortable! There were 5 of us on this trip, and our guide, Hanazawa, spoke Chinese, Japanese, and English, so communication was seamless throughout the tour. Hanazawa introduced us to various natural, historical, and cultural aspects of Mount Koya and even took us to sample local cuisine! Mount Koya is definitely worth a visit—a tranquil journey not to be missed.
