Reviews: 2-hour diving and snorkeling experience at the blue cave in Okinawa city, Japan [blue cave snorkeling/diving/English and Japanese instructors/shore entry to avoid seasickness]

We went snowdiving, and the instructor kindly explained everything. We also added GoPro recording on the spot (highly recommended!!). They show Korean YouTube videos for basic explanations. I was worried because the instructor only spoke English and Japanese, but surprisingly, there were no communication issues. Since it was our first time, they took extra care of us, so we were able to enjoy a safe and fun dive!
Reviews: 2-hour diving experience at blue cave in Okinawa city, Japan: freediving/snorkeling + secret sea exploration + natural caves + Okinawa wave chasing

This is an honest review from a woman in her late 40s who is afraid of water and can't swim well. To be honest, I have almost no experience in the water. From the moment I put on the oxygen tank, it felt heavy and stuffy, and I regretted signing up for it, wondering, "Why did I even sign this up?" My family was all excited, but I was the only one grumbling and nervous; however, thinking of it as the first and last time we would share this experience together, I followed them in. Before the activity, the instructor explained everything in detail, from hand signals to potential issues and how to handle panic. After listening to the explanation, the middle school students enjoyed the underwater world for about an hour without any problems and said it was the best experience ever. The problem was me. Breathing through an oxygen tank was completely unfamiliar to me, and the fact that I was underwater was terrifying, so I completely panicked. I kept trying to come back up, trying to run away, and flailing around... Even thinking about it now, I really was a total nuisance. However, Kevin, the instructor in charge, did not panic at all. Even when I repeatedly said, "I can't do this," or "I want to come back up," he calmly helped me regain my breathing, helped me maintain my balance, and waited patiently for me until the very end. While others went underwater quickly, it took me a long time just to catch my breath and relax. Honestly, I thought he would take me to snorkeling halfway through. But Kevin didn't give up on me with the attitude of, "You can't make it back up." Instead of forcing me, he waited until I calmed down, kept telling me it was okay, and eventually took me underwater. He took photos for me, let me experience everything there was to experience, and then brought me back up safely. At first, I was so scared that I even felt a bit resentful, but after the experience was over, I felt nothing but gratitude. Although he appears very composed and cool on the outside, I realized that he is a person with an incredible sense of responsibility. For this experience, two instructors were in charge of four participants. It was impressive to see them divide the roles and care for each other until the end, even when one person completely broke down mentally like me.
Reviews: Diving/snorkeling experience at Onna's Blue Cave in Japan - 2 hours + English and Japanese coaches

There was a field to enter a Line or WhatsApp ID when booking, but I didn't receive any separate contact. It felt like it was just for emergency contact. When you arrive at the meeting point, the counter staff immediately confirms your reservation and prepares for snorkeling. The staff were all cheerful and great. There were already plenty of fish, but they scattered some food once, and the fish practically enveloped me! However, since there are only outdoor showers and changing rooms, it wasn't possible to take off all clothes and shower immediately after swimming. You can only rinse with water, dry yourself off, and change clothes.
Reviews: 4-Hour Blue Cave Scuba Diving/Snorkeling Experience in Naha, Japan [Naha/Chatan Pickup & Drop-off] Boat Transfer for Blue Cave Snorkeling/Scuba Diving Experience

Please note that diving is not possible on the day you are flying back! Snorkeling is possible. This information was not mentioned in the notes on this website as of July 2014. The transfer staff were very kind, and the activities were excellent.

I experienced scuba diving at the Blue Cave for the first time during my trip to Okinawa, and it was a truly satisfying experience. The weather was great, so the color of the sea was beautiful, and seeing various fish up close underwater made the experience even more special and enjoyable. To be honest, since it was my first time scuba diving, I was secretly quite worried about whether I would be able to perform well underwater. However, Mr. Masa, who was in charge, explained everything very kindly from the moment we met until the end, and he constantly paid attention to my safety underwater, so I was able to enjoy the experience without feeling nervous. Thanks to him, I felt that even a first-timer could enjoy it comfortably. I especially liked that it was conducted with a small group rather than a large crowd. Since the group was small, I felt like he was focusing on each individual, and I was satisfied with both the safety management and the execution of the experience. Contrary to my initial worries, it was a truly fun experience that allowed me to create wonderful memories. If you are considering scuba diving at the Blue Cave in Okinawa, I would highly recommend it. If I visit Okinawa again, I definitely want to book and try it again. Overall, it was a very satisfying 5-star experience.
