Everything went great, although I had to contact trip.com to contact the route operator. After their request, they got back to me. Since we arrived in Ho Chi Minh City early, we were able to change our tickets on the spot to an earlier time, from 10:15 PM to 7:30 PM. Everything went well. We were initially put on a regular bus, but later, once we reached the right stop outside of Ho Chi Minh City, we were transferred to a sleeper bus. Thanks to the driver, he took us to the hotel; he was on the way.

We had a wonderful ride from Ho Chi Minh City to Mui Ne. They dropped us off at the hotel. We had to transfer our suitcases from the bus to the sleeper bus. We changed at the bus station, 40 minutes outside of Ho Chi Minh City, from a seated bus to a sleeper bus. Arrive at the office 30 minutes before departure, as they'll give you your ticket with a seat then. We asked for a seat upstairs, and that's what they gave us.

The company is run by a Japanese company, and their service is very professional. They offer free pick-up and drop-off service within the city to the transfer station (they called a Grab to pick us up at the transfer station, then a minibus to the main station where we boarded a luxury bus). Customers need to arrange this in advance (customer service likely doesn't speak English, so you'll need to communicate with Ctrip customer service). The vehicles are good, and the driving is smooth. It's a bit pricey (20-30 RMB more), but it saves you time and hassle.
