Reviews: Castellana Caves & Polignano by Boat – From Bari & Polignano
Guest User2026-07-22
It was a great day, we saw a lot of beautiful things. We went from Bari, ten of us. 8 people got off in Polignano and picked up 2 people there. 4 of us went to the cave. We didn't always understand what was happening, but the point is that everything they promised was fulfilled. In fact, the transfers were excellently organized. The cave itself is a miracle! We spent more than an hour and a half down there. Since we were moving the whole time, we didn't get cold in our T-shirts. When we finished, the bus was waiting at the meeting point, a long street away from the cave. Then we got off in Polignano, again a long street away from the coast. We had 70 minutes to look around, then the van picked us up at a bar and took us to the port. The boat trip was a great experience, the captain is a real showman. We went fast, slow, forward, backward, in a slalom. He sang, told stories. We saw caves, the famous restaurant and the beautiful coastline. At the end of the tour you could swim and have champagne. Then the van took you back to the bar. It was a 40 minute walk to the bus. It was a fantastic program, I absolutely recommend it!

Incredible views, a wonderful atmosphere, and the fantastic opportunity to swim in the sea around the motorboat. Just diving in was enough to see a multitude of fish after us.

A wonderful excursion to see the caves with a French-speaking guide – a big plus for her explanations. She was very friendly, and there was a great atmosphere on the boat. We enjoyed a little aperitif while swimming, surrounded by fish. The music at the entrance to the Lovers' Cave was lovely. Too short, in my opinion.
