With its lake and trees displaying enchanting colors, Trakai is definitely a place worth visiting. The tour only covers transportation; so there was no guide. You can learn a bit about Lithuania from the provided audio recording, but that information is easily accessible online. This tour is a good, affordable option for solo travelers like me. However, since it works out cheaper for groups of two or more, I would recommend using Bolt or Uber instead.

It's al very well organised - you get the train, and you follow the route given on Komoot, and QR codes on the map give you information about the places. It's a different experience from a guided tour, as you have all the freedom you might want, but it's not the same as a live guide. The cycling around the lake is beautiful, and it allows you to see more than just the castle - I particularly enjoyed the Hill of Angels. Only criticism - you don't really have time to do everything within the train timetable and do it justice - an extra hour would make a difference.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of info about the history of Vilnius and its rulers. It was very informative. I absolutely loved going down into the crypt under the cathedral. A job well done by this tour guide! I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Vilnius.
