I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone, particularly if you’re on your own! Our tour guide was Diogo, he was very good at making conversation and helped us learn a lot about life in the national park. The fact he had a strong relationship with the local people meant they were happy to show us their local traditions. Overall a great day, thank you!

Reviews: From Porto: Hike & Swim in Gerês National Park
Guest User2026-10-10
Booking a small group tour was the best decision for this hike! It was wonderful to skip the stress of driving and navigating the roads or finding the trail to the lagoons. The 7 different pools were incredible, offering deep spots for jumping and shallow areas for lounging. In September, the outside air was a comfortable 70°F, though the water was a brisk 50°F. There is almost no shade on the trail, so take the booking recommendations seriously: bring lots of water, sunscreen, and a hat!
