Taimu Mountain
The natural scenery of Taimu Mountain Scenic Area can be summarized in four words: "mountains," "sea," "rivers," and "islands." Wuyishan National Park
Wuyishan National Park is located in the northern section of the Wuyishan mountain range in northwestern Fujian, stretching across the border area between Fujian and Jiangxi provinces. If you only have one day, start by ascending Tianyou Peak for a panoramic view of the emerald waters and crimson mountains along the Nine-bend Stream, then take a bamboo raft downstream from Xingcun Wharf. Along the way, you'll pass landmarks like Jade Maiden Peak, Great King Peak, cliff inscriptions, and suspended boat coffins. The rafting journey ends at Wuyi Palace, making it an ideal classic route. Tea enthusiasts may prefer spending time on the leisurely Rock Bone Floral Trail between Dahongpao and Water Curtain Cave. This gentle path connects core Wuyi rock tea production areas like Liuxiangjian and Huiyuankeng, offering a uniquely fragrant experience. With two days, you can cover all four major sections. For more time, consider visiting the ancient tea merchants' residences in Xiamei Village, the starting point of the ancient Tea Horse Road, or exploring the ruins of the Minyue King's City near Chengcun Village—the latter also being part of Wuyishan's world heritage site. Bamboo rafting is very popular, so please make arrangements in advance during peak season. To get close to the ecological heart of the park, you can take the Wuyishan National Park No. 1 scenic route. Places like Moon Bay and Qinglong Waterfall are suitable for self-drive or private charter. Half a day is enough. You can choose to visit Niulanggang Seaside Park nearby. If you want to go to Yushan Island, it is more cost-effective to buy a combined ticket. Yipianwa and Jigerendong are good experiences. The seaside boardwalk is nothing special. Overall, it is okay.

The section of the mountain road on the way to the scenic spot is also a very good experience for friends who like to drive! It's a very large house. Hiring a guide costs 50 yuan for half an hour and you can learn about the family's history. It's quite interesting and can be visited together with the nearby Bailin Old Street. You can also stop by Cuijiao Ancient Residence on your way back to Fuding City from Taimu Mountain. About an hour is enough.

Huangling is a rather unique scenic area, offering views of 500-year-old Hui-style architecture nestled in the valley, perfect for taking photos. It has its own charm on sunny and rainy days. However, it currently feels quite commercialized, with some of the ancient buildings being renovated, which has diminished their original character. The Huaxi Water Street also feels somewhat artificial. The service at the coffee shop was rather average, with staff not being particularly enthusiastic, but since we were already there, what more could we ask for? Just having fun is what matters.

There's no excessive commercialization, and the bamboo raft boatmen are quite interesting and don't charge extra. A special shout-out to the "One Line Sky"! It felt like an Australian ranch. There were few people early in the morning, which was very suitable for taking pictures. Every picture was a blockbuster. Unfortunately, the weather was not good. It was cloudy and the grass was still wet, so we couldn't go grass skiing. The Yiming milk they gave us was quite delicious. Overall it was very good!
