Sofia is famous for its mineral springs, and the public mineral baths are one of Sofia's landmarks. The appearance of the bath is very beautiful, and the yellow exterior wall with red stripes is particularly eye-catching. The baths were built in the early 20th century by architects Petko Momchilov and Friedrich Grünanger, in the Viennese Secession style, combining Bulgarian, Byzantine and Orthodox forms.
