Huapiling

Huapiling, named for the many birch trees growing on the mountain, has a main peak at an altitude of 2,128m and is the highest peak in Zhangbei. Standing on Huapiling and looking into the distance, you will see vast, emerald forests stretching to the horizon and vibrant grasses and fragrant flowers carpeting the fields, truly feeling the wonder and charm of nature.

Summer and fall are the most beautiful seasons at Huapiling, featuring blooming mountain flowers and lush, layered forests. Every two weeks, the mountain's dominant hue changes. Red, white, yellow, blue, and purple—hundreds of wild flowers bloom across the mountains, swaying gracefully in an endless display of beauty. The vast expanse of green grass resembles an endless carpet, deep and vivid, dotted with colorful flowers like twinkling stars. Accompanying the grasslands are dense forests, primarily birch and larch. Entering the forest, you are greeted by the faint scent of grass, with trees so dense they seem to block out the sky. Sunlight filters through the lush branches, and the occasional chirping of birds highlights the tranquility of the woods. In the valleys, clear springs gurgle from between the rocks, revealing water so clear you can see the bottom.

Huapiling is a boundary for geography, scenery, and climate. The sunny side features carpet-like meadows, while the shady side is covered in dense forests; the south side of the ridge is milder in summer, while the north side is much colder in winter. This creates a unique environment where grasslands and forests coexist, and both cool and warm climates share the same mountain.
