Guest UserOnline in person registration should be illegal lmao, what are humans for then?
I agree with Pre online checking but in person online checking is kinda dumb.
Also want to mention that you guys send too much emails, especially annoying when its not translated into the traveler language.
Appart from that it was clean, simple but nice hotel.
I would recommend it, good value!
Lacks better luminosity in the bathroom. Toilets and sink area are too dark.

Guest UserIt's not far from the train station and very close to the bus stop, making it convenient to take the bus. The shower room is a bit small, but everything else is quite good.

Guest UserThe room is a bit packed as the bed is super big. Having said that, the room is nicely designed and decorated. Free mini-bar with daily refill is rarely found in hotels in Europe.
The buffet breakfast is absolutely the highlight. The omelette is crispy outside and molten inside, preserving the freshness and original flavours of all ingredients. Must try!
All hotel staffs are polite and helpful.
In terms of location, whether or not it is convenience, it depends. It is in the middle of Salzburg central station and the old town, going to either location is about 12 minutes walk. Salzburg down town is not big anyway. Everything is in walking distance.

Anonymous UserWe had a very enjoyable stay at Arte Hotel Salzburg. The location is excellent—right next to the main train station, making it perfect if you’re arriving by train or planning day trips. The Old Town is a pleasant walk away, so it’s still easy to explore the city.
The real hidden gem is the Sky Bar. It offers breathtaking panoramic views over Salzburg, especially at sunset and in the evening. The cocktails were great, and breakfast is also served there, making it a fantastic way to start the day. I’d definitely recommend requesting a room on one of the higher floors to make the most of the views.
The only downside was the communication regarding the complimentary Salzburg public transport pass. We were told at check-in that the hotel would provide it, but despite asking three more times during our stay, we never received it. It was disappointing as we had planned to use it for getting around the city. I hope the hotel can improve this process for future guests.
Overall, it’s a modern, well-located hotel with spectacular views, and I’d happily stay here again.

TravelshortsI am stayed at Hotel Mercure Salzburg City for two nights during my time in Salzburg, and it turned out to be an excellent base for exploring the city. What made the stay even better was being upgraded for free to a premium room, which included a complimentary mini bar — a very welcome perk after a day of sightseeing.
The premium room was spacious, clean and modern, with a comfortable bed, good lighting and plenty of storage space. The free mini bar was a nice extra touch, allowing me to relax in the evening without needing to head back out for drinks. The hotel felt quiet and well-run, which made it easy to rest, even though it’s located in a busy and well-connected part of the city.
Location is one of the hotel’s strongest points. It is less than a 10-minute walk from Salzburg’s main train station, which is ideal if you’re arriving by rail or planning day trips to places like Hallstatt or Vienna. It’s also around a 15-minute walk to the centre of the Old Town, meaning you can reach Salzburg’s most famous sights — such as the Cathedral, Mozart’s birthplace and the Hohensalzburg Fortress — without needing public transport.
Airport access is also extremely straightforward. Bus number 2 from Salzburg Airport stops just a minute’s walk from the hotel, making transfers simple, quick and inexpensive. This is particularly helpful if you have luggage or an early flight.
I would recommend Hotel Mercure Salzburg City to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located hotel that balances convenience with good value. It’s not overly luxurious, but it offers everything you need for a smooth and enjoyable stay in Salzburg, making it a smart choice for both short city breaks and longer trips.

Manta YangFree parking is available, but you'll need a car to get to the city center. Everything else was great, and they even offer free coffee in the afternoon. Highly recommended for those traveling by car.

I booked for three nights and when I checked in, the hotel staff initially couldn't find our reservation. After some confirmation, we were able to check in smoothly.
We were given a room on the second floor, but once inside, we found the mini-fridge was broken. So, I went downstairs and asked the front desk to switch our room. The new room was further inside. The fridge worked, but the air conditioning wasn't very cold. Luckily, it wasn't too hot at night, so it was fine.
I'd read reviews mentioning some guests had items stolen, so we didn't leave any valuables in the room and kept our suitcases locked.
However, when the towels were replaced daily, I'm not sure if it's because we didn't leave the floor mats on the ground or what, but they were always taken away and not replaced (it's also possible the hotel doesn't provide them). The plastic bottles I intended to return were also taken (but that's quite normal, so it's fine).
The area around the hotel does feel a bit desolate, possibly because it's behind a department store and next to a construction site. We could hear hammering from the construction site in the mornings. It's quite close to the train station and bus stops, but for the price we paid, I think it was significantly overpriced.
The hotel staff offered us free luggage storage (they mentioned guests normally have to use lockers). In the afternoons, there's iced water and small cookies available on the first floor.

Guest UserOverall, it was okay. There's a fridge and a kettle. The mattress was on the firmer side, which I prefer, and it was the most comfortable mattress I've slept on while traveling. However, I strongly recommend replacing the old pillow inserts; the filling has turned into clumps of cotton, and I had to fold a bath towel to put on top of the pillow just to make it usable. I had to specifically ask the front desk for the Salzburg tourist transport card; they didn't offer it proactively. The sink stopper needs to be pulled out to drain the water, and I'm not sure if it needs repair or if it's a unique design. There was a brown hair hidden deep inside the two-in-one shampoo and body wash bottle, which I only noticed after the first use. It would pop out when pressing the bottle and then retract after a while. At first, I thought it was just shower gel clinging to the nozzle, but then I clearly saw the hair follicle at the root. On the second day, I decided not to use the body wash at all.

Guest UserThe breakfast is good, the location is also very good, close to the train station. The front desk and breakfast are opposite the room. There is also a parking lot. There is no car. I don't know how the parking lot is charged.
