GGuest UserOur stay at the Xiangshawan Lotus Hotel was definitely the most anticipated part of our trip to Inner Mongolia. My child absolutely loved it and didn't want to leave, even saying they want to bring their younger brother back for 10 days next time, haha!
Two days felt way too short. We were out and about every day, with so many activities that kept us busy until 11 PM. There's the water park on Yuesha Island and all sorts of fun attractions on Xiansha Island. Plus, there are tons of food and drink options on the islands, all our usual favorites like milk tea, snacks, KFC, Yonghe King, and more...
Upon entering the hotel, we were greeted by the friendly smiles of the front desk staff. They gave us a rundown of the hotel floors (1st, 2nd, 3rd) and restaurant locations. Then, a staff member helped carry our luggage directly to our room – we didn't have to worry about a thing! We could just arrive and head straight out to have fun on the first day.
The hotel also thought of everything. You can call the front desk with just one touch. I called for hair ties and hairspray, and they were delivered very quickly. Thumbs up! 👍
What truly stands out is that the hotel includes three meals a day and VIP access to both islands. You don't have to wait in line for attractions, and you can grab various alcoholic beverages, soft drinks, and snacks from the hotel anytime. It was truly enjoyable!
KKhrystanne GeorgeThis is exactly what a Grassland stay should be, and more!
Our time at Xilamuren Grassland Tourism Resort will forever be etched in my heart. From the moment we arrived, the owner welcomed us like family, going above and beyond to recommend attractions, arrange tickets, and even personally drive us to the sites. Where else do you find service like that—done with a constant smile and thoughtful touches like free bottled water to keep us refreshed?
Staying in a traditional yurt on the open grassland is an experience beyond words. There is something grounding, peaceful, and almost spiritual about waking up to endless green horizons instead of concrete grey, hearing the soft rustle of the prairie wind, and watching the morning light sweep across the landscape.
This isn’t just accommodation...it’s an authentic encounter with the beauty of Inner Mongolia. Anyone visiting the region simply must experience this once in a lifetime.
GGuest UserOur group of road-tripping friends chose the Anda Inn, and it was a great choice. The courtyard is spacious, so parking was absolutely stress-free. The rooms were meticulously cleaned; there wasn't a speck of dust on furniture edges, and the bathroom counter was spotless, free of water stains. During the day, the owner drove us around the grasslands for free, and we got significant discounts on all sorts of activities. In the evening, there was a bonfire, with all ingredients sourced locally from the pastoral areas. At night, we could lie back in our room and gaze at the starry sky. The relaxation and recovery experience far exceeded our expectations.
PPaucassoI am a young Englishman on a 20 day solo self-drive road trip across northern Heilongjian and Inner Mongolia. After my stay in Hulun Buir, I decided to drive down to Arxan for 2 nights exploring. I booked this stay based off of the other foreign guests' positive experience.
I arrived in the town late in the evening. The boss was waiting for me and was attentive and welcoming from the start.
The room is very spacious and comfortable, and the temperature was just right. Everything is provided and replaced when needed.
After hiking in the national park, I came back to the boss and his extended family making CNY preparations. Then I was invited to drink Chinese tea (Dian Hong) at their tea table. I was then welcomed to eat with the family, drink beer and eat until I was full. I was welcomed not just as a guest of theirs, but as a family friend.
In mid-winter, Aershan/Arxan is a quiet and cold place. I came as part of a long journey taking my rented 4x4 Tank 300 through the snow and ice on routes apart of the Hulun Buir Snow and Ice Festival. My journey was peaceful, solemn and isolated. The hospitality and warm welcome was exactly what I needed after my long drive alone and it is a memory I will take home to the UK with me.
I highly recommend this guesthouse, especially if you are travelling solo across this wilderness.
Thank you brother. I look forward to returning in the near future with my partner, and when my mandarin is better.

GGuest UserWhat a pleasant surprise this hotel was! It's built in a courtyard style and has a really authentic, down-to-earth vibe. The location is fantastic, just a hundred meters from Dazhao Temple and Saishang Old Street, making it super convenient for walking to grab food, drinks, or do some travel photography. The room was well-equipped and smart, and the bedding and pillows were very comfortable. When checking out, a lovely young lady even gave me some hand cream. Plus, it's close to famous shaomai and Ama milk tea shops.

GGuest UserThe Fushawan Hotel Xiangshawan is perfect for families with kids! The independent yurts, though built years ago, are still clean and comfortable. It's an all-inclusive package with three buffet meals, and you get VIP access to the scenic area, skipping the queues. They offer kids' crafts, a swimming pool, and bonfire parties. Right outside, you're in the desert, and the night sky is absolutely stunning. The staff provides excellent service, proactively asking about your needs, which is very thoughtful. For family travel, the value for money is exceptional; my child didn't want to leave!
PPohSoon YanThe hotel is clean & tidy. Breakfast is good with the right variety. Concierge was very helpful. They booked my trip to the Genghis Khan Mausoleum at a discounted price of RMB300/- The mausoleum occupies a big area and during this time, it is not crowded. A must for any foreign traveller. Enjoyed my stay in Ordos.
Aagvzzz333Nice stay, food is available for morning, lunch, dinner
extra activities:
- go kart
- horse riding
- dancing and singing from locals during lunch/dinner
a performance show available close to here, the owner can sell you the tickets for 140 instead of 280 from the ticket office.
sometimes you don’t have warm water, so it might be a bit difficult during winter.
DDaisy_CC.Traveling with a dog 🧳Road Trip 2️⃣ night, experience a rural homestay 🏨.
The room is large, the living room 🛋️ is very spacious, equipped with a kitchen and a bar, suitable for long-term stay.
Suggestion: Currently, you need to stand in the bathtub to shower 🚿, and water splashing all over the floor is inevitable. I hope to improve it❤️.
GGuest UserAn absolutely wonderful travel experience! The hotel boasts a fantastic location, and I was very pleased with both the service and the environment. Enjoying a coffee in the hotel cafe with the canyon breeze in the morning was incredibly relaxing. If you're lucky, you might even catch a breathtaking sunset, truly a golden glow painting the mountains and rivers into a dream!
