"The room was good- clean, well equipped, + biscuits provided as well as tea and coffee! Can't fault it.
Can't comment on the breakfast (included in room price) as its not available at weekends until after 8.30 and I had to be elsewhere by then. From 7.00 in the week.
The thing that let the place down was the parking - or more the point , the lack of it. There must be 40 rooms but only space for 4 cars! All the other car parks around and there are plenty, had max 4 hour stay limit signs on display. Rather than risk a parking charge / fine I found some on-road parking 5 mins walk away and hoped the car would be still there in the morning (it was). If you want a chance for the 4 places you'll need to get there early afternoon - its bedlam there in the evening with the other pub and food outlet customers vying for space, well it was on Friday and Saturday evenings."

GGuest UserBooked a night to make travel stress-free and it didn’t disappoint. The room was spacious and quiet, the bed very comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Aircon worked well without being intrusive. Breakfast was excellent — wide selection and, in my opinion, better than what’s available inside the terminal. Perfect for early flights; I’ll definitely stay again. Highly recommended.

GGuest UserVery surprised by this hotel as my partner had stayed here a few years back and wasn’ti pressed… but this time, from start to finish, a really pleasant stay.
Lady on reception (early evening of 10th April) was an absolute delight. So helpful and so friendly. We had two dogs with us and she told us all the areas the dogs could go and that they could even have breakfast with us if we sat in a certain place. It’s not often you get treated like that when you have dogs… more so seen as a hindrance.
The room was very clean and bright. Pillows a bit hard but that’s down to preference. Shower was great, very powerful with shampoo, conditioner and show gel complimentary!
Breakfast was fantastic. A lot of choice and good quality. All in all, a great stay.

JJohn LowrieGood modern hotel for the prices and handy for the airport with the paid Shuttle service although at £4 per person that is high. When I first looked in to going there, the online advice stated clearly that public service buses also go there or nearby en route to/from Bishops Stortford. As the shutlle driver told us ”No, they haven't not in my 11 years in this job”. In fact the nearest public bus stop is stated online to be 500 metres away at Endeavour House. It seems further and there is no path, you have to walk unsafely on the grass verges along the busy roads. The Holiday Inn staff admitted ”Yes we like to keep you as a captive audience”. They suggested we pay £4 each on the shuttle , go back to the airport and get a bus or train from there for Bishops Stortford. So basically visitors like me can't use our free bus pass. We have travelled often to/from Stansted and spending time and money in the town is a favourite part. Indeed how many visitors never get to sample its benefits? My suggestion is that the Hotels sharing this shuttle service also allow it to pick up and drop people off at Endeavour House, for free, having paid the one-off £4 fare. For us, we'll probably stay elsewhere closer to the public bus service.

GGuest UserThe hotel's location is superb, just a five-minute walk from the airport. The room type we were assigned was a bit odd, in a corner with no view of the runway. However, it was quite spacious; I could easily open my 30-inch suitcase and still move around comfortably without feeling cramped. For this price, this amount of space, plus such flexible cancellation terms and breakfast included, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better deal getting into London city. Breakfast was an English buffet, and it was tasty, with gluten-free options available. I'd recommend it to anyone landing at STN!

GGuest UserOur stay was really good as I was worried being a holiday Inn , but how wrong was it supassed all my expectations from the quality of food to the amenities to the welcoming of the staff when you walk through the door. Would I stay here again? Definitely we had the best weekend using the spa facilities the Marco Perry restaurant and all the other amenities that were available. It was a Very pleasant stay and we were made to feel very welcome. The rooms were really lovely. We got free upgrade when we arrived which was a lovely thing as it was my birthday. They're just really lovely. The beds were comfortable. There were extra pillows if you needed them as well .
The only thing is you have to pay for your parking there which was quite expensive. £24, but you know apart from that everything else was really lovely and we really enjoyed our weekend. The swimming pool , Sauna jacuzzi, and steam room was great way to spend our last afternoon and all free , they also provided you with towels . The breakfast was lovely lots of choice and there is a Marco Perrie restaurant on site , but there was also another menu if you wanted something more simpler to eat to sit around the bar area .

GGuest UserExcellent venue and overall a really lovely stay. The hotel is in a great location, the bar area was lovely and the staff were all very friendly and welcoming.
The massage was great, although we were a little confused as to why we couldn’t book two treatments together but were able to book them separately.
Our room was beautiful, but the pillows were far too soft for me and I struggled to get comfortable. It would be great if there was a choice of pillow firmness to suit different preferences.
Parking was probably the biggest downside. There was a wedding and a funeral taking place around the same time, which made parking quite difficult, although by the following morning there was plenty of space.
We weren’t able to book the restaurant, but we sat outside instead which actually worked out really well, and the food was great. There is a selection of free breakfast for guest which when we wasn’t that hungry eliminated the stress to eat a large breakfast for large prices.
I’d definitely recommend the Roslin Beach Hotel. The only thing that would really elevate it for a retreat or relaxing stay would be the addition of a pool or spa area.

JJKLamWe stayed here because we had a very early flight from Stansted and needed to be at the airport around three hours before departure. Travelling with a child, having a hotel close to the airport made things much easier and meant we did not have to travel in the middle of the night. The hotel has a shuttle bus to the airport. It costs £4 per adult and children travel free. This is not really a criticism of Novotel specifically, but I do feel airport hotel shuttle buses should ideally be included in the room price. The hotel itself did the job. It is quite tired looking and could use some updating. We stayed during a very hot period and there was a slightly stale smell in the hotel, although I can understand that the heat probably did not help. The air conditioning in the hotel was not very strong, but it was enough to take the edge off. The main positive is that, as a large chain hotel, it has everything you need for a short airport stay. The staff were also very friendly throughout. Overall, it was fine for one night before an early flight and served its purpose well.

Our room was spotless, and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was excellent. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. GGuest UserI booked a last minute night away with the children: afternoon tea followed by an overnight. The afternoon tea was delicious and I was really well catered for as a vegan diner. The Grand Hall was a beautiful setting for afternoon tea. The children also loved their food - the sandwiches were much simpler for the children and they got seconds based on how delicious they were. Our room was large and had a sofa bed and a cot bed. We enjoyed playing in the grounds including the play area, outdoor chess, boules, the scavenger hunt and the fitness trail. My son also loved playing football in the garden - he was excited that there were goals set up. We had dinner in The Fox Bar and had drinks and played cards in the Grand Hall afterwards. Breakfast the next morning was delicious. We were really excited to find newts in the pond. They would love to stay again. I would love to come for an overnight with my partner to experience it differently without the children.
