I had an absolutely delightful stay at this hotel. Every aspect of the experience exceeded expectations — the room was impeccably clean, elegantly designed, and exceptionally comfortable. The staff were warm, attentive, and provided truly outstanding service throughout my stay. The breakfast was particularly impressive, offering a refined selection of high-quality, fresh, and beautifully presented options that made each morning a pleasure. The location is ideal, and the facilities are superbly maintained, contributing to an overall sense of sophistication and relaxation. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a premium and memorable stay, and I very much look forward to returning in the future.

In addition, they introduce to you different sake with very good price. Lastly, staff will introduce to you different dishes so as to understand Japan more.

Very nice hotel with wonderful outdoor onzen bath, great service and excellent food. Two downsides though: Our bedroom was facing a brick wall which is not what you would expect when booking a hotel in this location, and at that price level. I wish we had been notified beforehand. Also, the service in the restaurant was very rushed. The hotel was very busy due to the ***** new year and I guess they were trying to get clients quickly through dinners to rotate services quickly but given the quality of the food, it was unfortunate that we could not spend more time enjoying it. But other than that, the hotel was great and I highly recommend it.

The hotel environment is clean and beautiful, and the service is very attentive. The breakfast buffet is abundant. We chose a Japanese-style (tatami) room, which was spacious and tidy. There's a large public onsen on the top floor, and private onsen baths are also available for reservation (3500 JPY per session). The swimming pool wasn't open, so we missed out on that. The location is very convenient, right next to Shirahama Beach. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is located on a hill, so walking up the steep slope back to the hotel every day was a bit of a challenge for our cardio and stamina, but we just considered it a workout, which was fine. If we come to Shirahama again, we'll definitely choose this place.

It's a yellow building in the shopping district, about a 5-minute walk from JR Kii-Katsuura Station, and it's easy to find. It appears to be run by a small staff, as there is a phone at the front desk. When I contacted them, a staff member responded immediately. They carefully checked my accommodation details, making sure I had brochures for sightseeing in the area and offering recommendations. The building itself is old, but well-maintained and I didn't feel particularly inconvenienced. Loungewear, toothbrushes, a kettle with green tea, and an air purifier are also provided. Makeup remover, face wash, lotion, and emulsion are not provided, but I brought these with me so this wasn't a problem. Check-out was smooth; I simply put my key in the designated box. There are only a few accommodations near the station, so I was glad to be able to stay in a well-located place at a low cost.

The lobby has been completely renovated. The Sunrise Pavilion is expected to open on August 1st. The Mountain Pavilion was also closed one of the days we were there, so we stayed at the Nagisa Pavilion. The experience was just okay – no sea view, just the pier. Dining was on the 4th floor of the main building, and getting to the hot springs and the lobby required a long walk outside. Plus, the duck boat was out of service. The breakfast and dinner buffets were the same every day; after two consecutive nights, we got a bit tired of it. There was no room cleaning for consecutive stays either. However, the hot springs and Langyan Mountain were great! P3 shows the sunset from Langyan Mountain at the hotel – a beautiful blue and pink, absolutely stunning! The three long escalators at the Mountain Pavilion provide direct access to Langyan Mountain, saving your legs, and it's definitely worth a visit. I think the experience will be much better once the Sunrise Pavilion is finished and the duck boat resumes operation. Overall, the hotel staff were warm and friendly!

This is the best hotel experience! It's perched on a hilltop in Kushimoto, and the lobby offers an unbeatable ocean view. You absolutely have to choose the one-meal-two-stay package; the buffet dinner runs until 9 PM, which is perfect for a satisfying meal after a day of sightseeing. They have a great selection, including tuna sashimi, a special tea-rice dish, Western cuisine, and more – definitely a top-notch buffet. My favorite part was the public bath. There's an outdoor section with sea views, which is incredibly relaxing. The waiting area is spacious and even has free ice cream bars, which the kids absolutely loved. The most relaxing aspect was the happy hour in the lobby, with unlimited beer, wine, sparkling drinks, and snacks. You can just sit back and enjoy the blissful ocean views. The only downside: there was a strong musty smell, especially noticeable and persistent when it rained.

A truly satisfying hotel in Shirahama! All facilities and the main building are accessible, and the hot springs and foot bath are excellent. The room wasn't small, and even though it was facing the road, it was incredibly quiet at night. The sea breeze was so pleasant! Shirahama is a lot of fun, and I'll definitely stay at Key 1 again next time! The location is super convenient; it's easy to walk to everything nearby. I even walked to the local beer factory for a refreshing pint – fantastic!

The room faces the harbor and is very comfortable. The area is very quiet at night. It's a 15-minute walk from the seafood market. Senjojiki, Sandanbeki, and White Beach are all close together. The bus station is also very close, only ten minutes away. Secondly, the hotel's breakfast and dinner are very rich and attentive. I recommend everyone to try the kaiseki! The facilities in the room are very comprehensive and have a strong sense of ceremony. There are private baths and foot baths. It's so refreshing to soak in them after a day of strolling! The hotel also provides a bus shuttle service to the station, and free bicycles are available. I rented a bicycle and saw many beautiful views around the island. Finally, the owner, Lao Bai, is very hospitable and will drive us out to play. The two staff members can also communicate in Chinese, so it's basically barrier-free.
