Facilities: Excellent! My friend enjoyed the public hot spring, and the facilities and views were great. Cleanliness: Good. Both the room and the lobby were clean and bright. Environment: The room view was fantastic! Unbeatable sea view. I'll definitely stay here again next time. Service: The hotel staff were wonderful, very friendly and professional. They helped us with our luggage and even made our beds. Compared to some much more expensive hotels I've stayed at, the service here was even better! I was a bit worried about the service after reading some reviews, but it was absolutely unfounded. My friend and I both regretted not staying an extra night.

It was a wonderful experience. I was so excited before arriving and still savoring it after returning. I booked a stay with two meals and enjoyed the hot springs three times a day. The ancient Showa atmosphere, mingled with the sea breeze from the Tsugaru Strait, was a highlight of my trip to Hakodate.

I'd call this unbeatable. First off, the front desk service was truly above and beyond my expectations. It was snowing heavily, and the bellhop was still waiting outside for guests to arrive, helping with luggage. The outdoor private onsen in the room was also exceptional; the view and atmosphere were incredible. The breakfast, with its unbeatable ocean view, topped it all off. I had a wonderful day in Hakodate!

Very good, nice people, great view, nice room! It is recommended to book two nights to relax! The most amazing thing is opening the balcony door! From that moment on, you feel that taking a taxi is really worth it.

The ultimate value for money! Even the driver who stayed here before said it was excellent value! Many Japanese people stay here, mostly families with children. It's right next to a tropical botanical garden where you can see monkeys soaking in hot springs. The sea is right outside the window, super close, beautiful scenery, but the waves are very loud at night. There's an open-air hot spring on the rooftop, and on the first floor there are foot baths and a traditional hot spring + sauna. There's a supermarket on the first floor with everything you need. The receptionist at check-in was Chinese. It's very convenient to hire a car, but I'm not sure if it's convenient to go on your own, as it's quite far. It is indeed quite old, in terms of style, but very clean.

The hotel's location is super convenient. After getting off at Hakodate Station, you can take buses 95, 95A, or 96 right outside the station (get off at Yunokawa Onsen Station), and the hotel is directly across the street. Conversely, you can catch a bus from the hotel entrance directly to JR Hakodate Station. This is incredibly handy, especially given how expensive taxis are in Japan. The hotel rooms are very spacious. While the facilities are a bit dated, the big plus is that the room comes with a private, continuously flowing hot spring bath – it's not one of those you have to turn on and off with a tap. It's semi-open-air, looking out onto the ocean, so there's no need to worry about privacy. Soaking in the onsen while enjoying the sea view, perhaps with an ice cream [chuckle] – it really doesn't get much more relaxing! Since we booked a Japanese-style room, staff came to make our beds after check-in. The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary bottled water, bottled tea, and beer. Unfortunately, my family and I don't drink, so we didn't make use of that service [facepalm]. Right next to the hotel is the 'Ichimonji' ramen shop, and the Tropical Botanical Garden, where you can watch monkeys soaking in the hot springs, is just a 300-500 meter walk away. Guests staying at Hanatsuki can also request a window seat at breakfast to enjoy the sea view while they eat.

We were given a six-person room with four floor beds and a bunk bed, so my child and I had plenty of space to roll around. It had been snowing for two days straight, and the powder snow made for a very comfortable skiing experience, perfect for beginners. Overall, the hotel service was good and the facilities were excellent, making it ideal for family activities.

This is the hotel we changed from the chain hotel at the station. Because there is a hot spring here. It is only one stop from the airport to the hotel, and even if you take a taxi, it is only 50 RMB. There is a very convenient bus stop at the door of the hotel, and it takes about 30 minutes to get to the city. The hotel's breakfast is very rich and you can eat it every day. The hot spring service is also quite commendable. I highly recommend it. If you go with a family, book a room by the sea. In fact, it is very cost-effective. One room can accommodate 4~5 people, and then looking at the seaside is very good.

The hotel room is very large and is a traditional Japanese style room. The bed is made as soon as you enter the room, and you can see the vast sea view from the window. There is a public pool downstairs for bathing. The facilities are quite large. Although it is a bit old-fashioned, it is very clean. You can purchase breakfast, which is a traditional Japanese breakfast, very rich and delicious.

It's very close to both the Hakodate City Tram Hakodate Ekimae stop and JR Hakodate Station. From the room window, you can see Hakodate Morning Market and the Mashu Maru ferry in the distance. There's a comfortable space on the first floor where you can relax with a drink, and a free fitness area available on the second floor. I think this hotel is excellent in every aspect, and I would definitely choose to stay here again the next time I visit Hakodate.

The hotel is close to the coast, where you can easily see the Sea of Okhotsk (depending on which level & direction). A convenience store is located across the road. Parking is right at the doorstep, and plenty of lots are available. The onsen is spacious enough not to feel packed even though several bathers were within.
