We had a lovely stay with Melia Hotel. Our room was very comfortable and very good reakfast . The staff are very polite and helpful. Very recommended. ☺

BaraCoco – A Little Piece of Paradise 🌴 I had the pleasure of spending four wonderful days at BaraCoco, and what can I say? This place is simply paradise. Imagine all those beautiful tropical island clichés suddenly becoming reality. As if someone had taken a dream and turned it into a real place on Earth. That's BaraCoco. But what makes this place truly special is the wonderful team of guys who bring it to life every single day. They take care of everything: check-in and check-out, the six lovely bungalows, coffee and cold beer, unforgettable adventures above and below the water, clean terraces, reliable Wi-Fi, hot showers, scooter rentals, transfers, and just the right music for chilling out. And then there are those freshly picked coconuts in the morning and evening. Sometimes paradise really is that simple. Everywhere you look, there is another picture-perfect moment waiting to become part of your travel memories. A special mention goes to Eli, their driver, who makes the five-hour journey from Makassar not only safe and comfortable but also an enjoyable experience. He is an attentive driver and a wonderful guide along the way. Yes, BaraCoco is a little off the beaten track. But isn't that exactly where paradise should be? If you're dreaming of a tropical escape that looks like a postcard but feels like a real home away from home, you've found it. To the entire BaraCoco team: THANK YOU for four unforgettable days. On July 28th I booked a superior, non-smoking, double bed, away from elevator room to stay on August 1st. When I was checking in (waited for 30 mins but ok) the receptionist told me my reservation has only recently been sent by the third party app (trip.com), approximately 30 minutes before I arrived, and so the room i asked for was fully booked. So the only room left is a smoking, twin bed, right beside the elevator with big machines for the window view. They gave the room ozone treatment for the smoke smell and pushed the twin beds so it became 1 large bed. Fine whatever. But then when I complained to the app, customer support told me my reservation has been sent and accepted on July 28th, they also tried contacting the hotel to confirm but the hotel was unreachable. So later that night I went and checked with the night shift receptionist and he confirmed that the reservation was indeed sent and confirmed by the hotel on July 28th, but the room type I asked for has been fully booked since July 29th. So idk why the other receptionist blamed the app and lied? I am still really curious. The app however gave me coins for the inconvenience but the hotel didn't. Room was small but the ac, wifi and hot shower worked well. Fridge wasn't cold enough. No trash can in the bathroom. Gym is small but okay. The sky lounge got nice view but I waited over 1 hour for my 1 portion of fried kwetiaw to arrive. Not many alcohol options just beer and soju. Overpriced but I guess the view is where the money's at.

We stayed here twice to catch flights to and from Sorong. We came as a group of 8 people and booked 4 rooms. Overall, the rooms were quite small, with very limited space to perform prayers. There was a flickering light above the bed in one of the rooms, which we had to cover with a towel. The shower had no hot water and the water flow was very slow. Some rooms were also located far from the reception, requiring a long walk. The main advantage is the hotel’s location inside the airport, which is very convenient for transit and early flights. Suitable for short stays only.

I genuinely like almost everything about Swiss-Belcourt Makassar, especially the location. It is very convenient and practical. Right next to the hotel there is a laundry service that you can easily use for a small fee, which is very helpful for longer stays. Within easy walking distance, you can also find the legendary Sop Konro, one of the best in Makassar, which is a big plus for anyone who enjoys local food. If you feel like taking a walk, Pantai Losari is only about eight to ten minutes away, making it very easy to enjoy the seaside atmosphere in the morning or evening without needing any transport. Overall, the area feels lively yet comfortable, and everything you need is close by. I would definitely consider staying here again. However, the breakfast is the one area that could be improved. It feels quite boring and repetitive, especially if you stay more than one night. I think it would be much better if the hotel offered a different breakfast concept, perhaps with more variety or some warm soup options and local comfort dishes to make it more interesting and enjoyable. Despite this, Swiss-Belcourt Makassar still offers very good value for its location and convenience, and I would return again, hopefully with a more exciting breakfast experience next time.

The bed was especially cozy, which made for a great night’s sleep. I also appreciated the little touches, such as complimentary bottled water and toiletries. However, the room felt a bit dated, and the air conditioning took a while to cool the space effectively. The breakfast spread was impressive, offering a variety of local and international dishes. The dining staff were attentive, making sure everything was well-stocked. I just wish the coffee could have been better—it felt a little weak compared to what I expected. The facilities, including the pool and fitness center, were well-maintained, but the pool area got quite crowded during peak hours. A larger pool or more seating would have been ideal. Overall, I enjoyed my stay, and I would recommend [Hotel Name] to others. With a few small improvements, this could easily become a 5-star experience!

Staff: Very welcoming, polite, and accommodating. Room 5012: Comfortable bed, stunning balcony view, great air-conditioning, smooth WiFi connection. Amenities: There's a meeting room and restaurant just beside the reception counter. Good • Approximately 12mins walking distance to Losari Beach. • Nearby convenient store, Indomaret and Alfamart. • Nearby cafe, Republik Kopi. • Nearby places to eat, Mas Daeng, Sate Gaga, RM Bahari. Bad • The balcony door wasn't locked and unable to lock. • Toilet water at times very little pressure. • The room has a door that links to another room(501). • Toiletries not provided. I don't know how this hotel got a good rating, but something unexpected happened during my stay. It was on a Saturday late night, a group of teenagers were having party in their room(501), they were drinking and smoking in the room, making so much noise and playing loud music, the worst part was they knocked on my room door 2-3 times when I was sleeping. They were not only making noise in their room but also in the corridor, they were screaming and shouting. Probably, the counter/security personnel needs to do a patrol after 12 midnight on each floor, especially on a Saturday night, to ensure minimal noise pollution.

Clean but the bathroom have no soap and they separate toilet bowl and shower with two room. The toilet is good but the bathroom is flooding outside when you shower. Room is good got bottle water and coffee+tea sachet. View is just ok. the location is perfect near from everything you need such as souvenir, local and international restaurant, convenient store and more

Great location, very spacious rooms with air conditioning. The staff were friendly and held onto our bags all day after we checked out. Very good, we liked it.
