My biggest mistake of this trip to Yamagata is to book this hotel. It's a good hotel but it's in the middle of nowhere. You will want to stay around the city of Yamagata province which is also called Yamagata city just so you can get to famous tourist spots. However this is 4 hours away from all of these. I had to book another hotel so I can stay 1 day in the city when I wanted to visit these places and the traveling time just completely made me exhausted. It took like 1 day to go to a place and 1 day to go back. It was so terrible, I was crying. This place is closed to Shonai airport not Yamagata airport so I also had to book another flight from Shonai. I wasted so much money for transportation. It was such a terrible experience.
However the hotel is incredibly beautiful with smart design in everything. I loved the onsen very much. If it was just a vacation/restcation for relaxing purpose or isolate yourself from the human word, it's the best choice for you. Since its in the middle of the endless rice field, there is nothing to eat except for paying very high price to eat at the hotel's restaurant. And the food was just okay.
The beauty of this hotel was like a trap. Its like I was blind from its beauty and couldn't see all other disavantages.
The hotel exceeded all the expectations! Would definitely recommend staying here if you are in Yamagata.
The personnel is very polite, very helpful, and tries to make sure you have a pleasant stay.
The hotel is a new building I would say, very close to the station. There is a 7/11 store on the 1st floor which is very convenient.
The room is very spacious, has everything you might need. Also you can take all the necessary items such as face creams, toners, lotions, hair oils, toothbrushes, hair ties, teas, coffees etc. at the front desk.
Absolutely wonderful experience!
This hot spring hotel has a quiet environment and thoughtful service! The spring water is smooth and soothing, the rooms are clean and elegant, and the meals are exquisite and delicious. The friendly smiles of the staff make people feel warm. Highly recommended whether it's a couple's vacation or a family trip, I will definitely visit again!
Located on the top of a business building linking to the Yamagata station.
You won’t have to be worried even if it’s snowing or raining.
A side note to travellers from the hotter climate, the hotel doesn’t supply air conditioning during winter. Instead it has a small webbed facility that allows outside air to flow into the room. This slight chills the room. However during the day, the room will be super hot.
Initially we had a room facing the sun and when we checked in, the room is super hot. Called the customer service only to find out they didn’t have air conditioning during winter and we have to rent a fan from them.
After a slight communication, the customer service is kind enough to upgrade us to a bigger room which is slightly cooler. Big props to the customer service lady! 5 stars service !
The hotel has free parking, which is a big thumbs up, you can park in the parking lot behind the hotel, then take a ticket to reception and plug it in, you can park until the next morning, and the famous and delicious Mizawa beef next morning to the hotel
The free breakfast was delicious and had plenty of healthy options. The space was efficiently utilized, with no unnecessary clutter. The location is incredibly convenient; it's about a 10-minute walk to Kasumigajo Park, and the JR station, Mitsukoshi, and Montbell are all within a 5-minute walk. There's also a Family Mart right downstairs. Excellent value for money!
There is a parking service, but I believe it is not convenient to drive, the only thing is that you can choose not to eat dinner, outside less than ten minutes drive have restaurant options, although the hotel has been a while but maintenance done very well, I do not know if the room has a private soup, public soup used 3 times is no one 😅 , 08:00-10:00 tea and coffee!
I was very impressed with my stay at this hotel. The service was good, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was varied. If I come back here again, I will definitely stay here again. Most importantly, there is a window with a view and the room is spacious and comfortable.
Great location directly connected to Yamagata station. My room was at the South wing which seemed new. The room is on the small side for 2 adults but has everything we needed, was pleasantly surprised with the handy steam iron! There are 2 x coin laundry at South Tower level 2; vending machines; microwave oven. Ice machine on several floors. The front desk staff were helpful, they allowed us check-in before 3pm and helped make a reservation at Yamagyu restaurant, really appreciated their help. The location is really convenient with the taxi stand and bus terminal right in front. Lots of food options around it.
Affordable and convenient hotel! Right across from the hotel is a 24-hour Aeon store, perfect for late-night snacks and souvenirs.
They offer a free breakfast, which is a plus!
The lobby also has hot and cold water available, another great amenity!

GGuest UserI love Bernese Mountain, and I’m lucky enough to stay here and play with Haruda San (I hope I spell her name correctly). The breakfast and dinners are sumptuous and of good portion.
Staffs are attentive and swift to provide shuttle bus services.
All rooms with no shower facilities, meaning you have to go to public bath area to take shower. For rooms located at west annex, it’s a bit of walk and you need to pass through a short outdoor alleyway. I would recommend to try onsen at No. 1 and 2 site as they are close to public bath area. If you try onsen at other sites, which is at west annex, you need to go to another side of the hotel to take shower before and after the onsen as they don’t provide shower facility during winter.

ZZoeAbsolutely lovely place. At first I thought I'd be uncomfortable with how spaceous the room was (I'm a very jumpy solo traveller), but the room was just so comfy with an excellent view. The heater was a bit hot, but there was an electric fan too, so all was great.
The hotel allows you to have a free 50 minute private bath each night, and the private baths are amazing, able to accommodate up to five persons and with windows to let in the light and stuff. Excellent onsen water -- very acidic and very hot. Takes some time getting used to the heat, but once you do it's a heavenly experience. There are also public baths (free of charge) that you could enjoy throughout the night and into early morning (they're closed for cleaning only during 9-12 in the morning), one indoor and one outdoor, both connected to one another. The outdoor one is a bit small, but it's so refreshing to be able to flee from the stifling indoor onsen to enjoy the crisp winter air while soaking up in the heat.
啾啾啾啾啾啾The accommodation is about a 10-minute walk from the station, which is a bit more difficult when it snows. It seems that he provides parking lot, which is more suitable for people who drive.
There is also a large supermarket within a 10-minute walk nearby, which is very convenient.
The baths for men and women are separate, so you don't have to wait for a long time, which is very convenient! Very recommended
There is a free bar and snacks downstairs which is a good deal.

GGuest UserNice and clean business hotel very near the Yamagata train station. Location is top notch! Basic hotel with everything you'd need. There is an artificial onsen on the 14th floor, which was good for a soak after a long day. Breakfast buffet was basic but tasty. Warm foods like rice, miso soup, bacon, stir fried veggies, etc were available in addition to some pastries and bread with butter and jams.
Will definitely stay again when in the Yamagata area.

GGuest UserThe hotel feels like the restaurant's side. The disadvantage is really not suitable at first. The bathroom and bathroom are not in the house, but they are all special rules and clean. The room is a small tatami air purifier. The heating is very good. Sleeping and making your bed. The quilt is very comfortable. It is originally greedy for cheap and the picture distance cable. The car was close to the first day and I almost wanted to move, but there were too many things. I decided that the others were too expensive. I didn’t expect to live until the next day. It felt very good. I was also Marriott Titanium. I didn’t see the world. After all, I spent more than 300 advantages. The biggest is the distance to the mountain cable. The car *** is close to walk for 20 seconds. It is the cable car number 4. I can’t stop the car and go directly to the small hotel. I have a picture to see for myself. I have gone to so many ski resorts. This is the most ***ski in ski out hotel I have ever stayed in. Hahaha II Valley Yueyue is not so ** Wanlong Genting has no one to compare. Oh breakfast The most expensive 1300 dinner has barbecue for two people 5500 to write so much. One is a bit interesting. The other is that there is really no work at night.
